I’d never given much thought to how I would die. But dying in the place of someone I love seems like a good way to go. ” When reading such moving words, I am completely absorbed in this splendid novel --- Twilight. The person who had said such moving words was a 17-year-old girl --- Bella, who was a high school student. After reading the whole novel, what impresses me most is not the mysterious vampires family, but the kindhearted and brave girl --- Bella. Bella was a 17-year-old girl who has experienced her parents’ divorce. In order not to be an obstacle to her mother’s happiness with her stepfather, Bella firmly chose to move into a new city --- Forks to live with her father. Even though she knew that what was waiting for her was the new and strange circumstance, Bella still decided to face all of them fearlessly, which makes me know that Bella is a really thoughtful and considerate girl.

Bella is a kindhearted and independent girl who never goes with tide. She always sticks to her own way of doing everything. On her first day to school, Edward came across with Bella, and at that moment Edward could not move his eyes on Bella at his first sight on her. I clearly know that it was Bella’s unique and special character that drew Edward’s attention. In Edward’s mind, Bella was a natural girl with a kind heart. After several days’ struggle, Edward could not prevent himself from caring about her and loving her though he knew perfectly well that it would be a fateful and deadly thing for a vampire to fall in love with a human girl. From this, it can be seemed that what a charismatic and glamorous girl Bella was.

When Edward said to Bella, “I don’t have the strength to stay away from you forever.” I know, Edward had already been loving Bella deeply.

When Bella answered “I’ll be with you forever, Edward.” I can realize their love has already been surpassed human in human’s innermost feelings.

When Edward said, “You don’t know how long I’ve waited for you, Bella” I know, Bella is the most suitable one for him, only with Bella can Edward gains the real happiness.

When Edward swore, “You’re my life now, Bella.” I think all the lovers will be overwhelmed by such impressive words at that moment, as well as I. I know, from then on, Edward would move heaven and earth to protect Bella. There is no doubt that Bella is happy when being with Edward.

To be honest, Twilight is the best romance novel that I’ve ever read. There is no much flourish in it, but there are lots of touching and thrilling plots between Edward and Bella. I still remember every time Bella was in danger, Edward could helped her out in time, which made Bella feel so grateful and become interested in him gradually.

There was a time when Bella was on her way home from a bookstore alone, suddenly a gang of ruffians molested her, Bella felt helpless and hopeless. Fortunately, Edward appeared as a hero and rescued the beauty, Bella. At that moment, I couldn’t help praising, that Edward was such a thoughtful gentleman who cares about the person he loves at any time. No wonder Bella would love him.

Then when Edward told Bella he had a super strength that he could read every person’s mind except Bella’s one. You can not imagine that, Bella’s first reaction to it was --- “Is there something wrong with me?” Hearing that, Edward smiled and said, “I tell you I can read minds, and you think there is something wrong with you.” At that time, Edward knew Bella was a kind girl indeed, who would not be worried and scared when hearing such unusual truth, but just try to find the mistakes of herself.

Once Edward took Bella to his home to meet his family members, instead of being afraid, Bella asked Edward what if his families didn’t like her. Bella pursued the true love belong to her bravely, while Edward was giving all his love to the one he loved. I know this is love.

All in all, romantic love always has a happy ending. When Bella went through life and death, when Edward experienced the cruel ordeal, seeing they were dancing romantically at last, I can say their love will be going on.

《飘》是我最喜欢看的书之一，它是由美国作家玛格丽特·米切尔女士生平唯一的一本长篇小说。

故事发生在美国南北战争前后，佐治亚县塔拉庄园里的大小姐斯佳丽。奥哈拉是小说的女主人公。与体弱多病、多愁善感的《红楼梦》里面的主人公林黛玉完全不同，这位在塔拉红土地上成长起来的女人精力旺盛、大胆叛逆，她浑身上下都焕发出生命的活力。我喜欢斯佳丽，不仅因为她不矫情，更是因为她在塔拉庄园危在旦夕的时候，用她那娇嫩的双手和稚嫩的双肩撑起了整个庄园，帮助庄园渡过了难关。可是，一连串的打击接踵而来，先是母亲埃伦去世，接着父亲杰拉尔德去世，后来，与瑞特的第一个女儿波妮。巴特勒也因为跨栏时扭断脖子而不幸去世，这么一连串的打击并没有使斯佳丽整天沉浸在悲伤之中，因为她始终坚信着：明天又是新的一天！她在整个故事中都是一个充满生气、充满斗志的人。我最欣赏的便是她这句“明天又是新的一天”。这种不轻易放弃、坚强、无惧无畏的精神是最值得我学习和借鉴的。所以，每当我遇到困难，心情不佳时便会告诉自己：明天又是新的一天。

慢慢合上书本，脑海里细细品味书中的场景，带给我的感觉依旧是那么坚定与执着。一遍匆匆的略读，并不能体会多少真谛，也许，等我再读几遍时，会有更多的收获吧！

上初中的时候看过《飘》，记得当时看不太进去，主要不了解小说的时代背景，又不太理解爱情(呵呵，比较晚熟)，再加上小说开始，一个个名字很长的角色出现，搞得我晕头转向，所以只是当作名著硬着头皮看下去，最后还是半途而废，留下的印象只是：原来名著都是很深奥，难以看懂的。

当自己体验了人生应有的大部分经历后，现在重新看《飘》，居然很容易地看进去了，而且越是看到后半部，越是欲罢不能，小说中的人物每天活生生地跳动在我的脑海里，为他们或激动、或担心、或欣喜、或惋惜——

最让我肃然起敬的，是两位伟大的女性—爱伦和媚兰，一样有人生的遗憾，但是从不抱怨;一样的博爱，却从来不考虑自己，所以一样成为她周围家人、朋友的精神力量，也一样带着太多的担心过早地离开了需要她们的家人和朋友，留给活着的人一样的悲痛和深刻反省。

思佳的第一次人生改变，不是战争，而是爱伦的离开，虽然战争已经使她坚强，肩负她从未有过的重任，照顾伤残的士兵、待产的媚兰和弱小的韦德，但是她心中有母亲爱伦，以为只要坚持到了塔拉农场，见到母亲，一切艰难都会有爱伦接管，以为就像运动员跑到了终点。但是经过千辛万苦终于回到了塔拉时，家中被洗劫一空不是打击，两个生病的妹妹和变得痴呆的父亲不是打击，最大的打击就是母亲爱伦的离开，原以为的终点变成了起点，她要肩负更大的责任，大到农场的复兴，家族的复兴。她彻底变了，为生存，为生养她的那片土地，抛弃了信仰、抛弃了母亲从小对她的教导、抛弃了她一直的善良本性，她成功了，富裕了，但是心灵空虚了。

思佳的第二次觉醒，是媚兰的离开。媚兰是个外柔内刚的女性，她几乎拥有了女性所能拥有的一切美德。正如巴特勒说的，她是个伟大的女性，她坚强、善良、宽容、有爱心，一直是思佳最坚定的支持者，临终前，点醒了思佳，让思佳意识到巴特勒对她的深爱，而她对艾希利的痴迷只是一种幻觉，并且重新焕发力量，为幸福再勇敢地迈出一步，正如她最后讲的：毕竟，明天又是另外的一天呢。

爱伦和媚兰为什么有如此强大的精神世界?是信仰?还是与生俱来的?现实生活中，难以想象有这样的人存在。她们不是凡人，是天国派下的使者，待她们完成使命，也就早早被收回天国，成为天使，真正开始享受天堂的幸福时光，我只有这样的解读了。

巴特勒是个完美男人，无论在近两个世纪之前的那个年代，还是在现代都是。他睿智、勇敢、幽默、帅气。少年的艰辛，锻造了他坚强的意志。他是最会把握机会的投机商，放浪形骸，我行我素，具有深邃的远见，不随波逐流，敢做敢言，他的特立独行，令他一直与周围的人格格不入，但是事实证明，他的预见都是正确的。最打动我的，是他对爱的执着，从一开始，他就深爱着思佳，但是他知道爱不是简单的占有，而是两人身心的共融合一，他总是在思佳最需要帮助的时候出现，给予她精神和物质的支持。正因为他从小缺少家人的爱，所以他更在意爱，而且是真爱。为了得到真爱，他可以等待，希望有一天能够让思佳明白他的爱，也希望思佳的心中只爱他。爱改变了他，女儿的出生让他一改过去的特立独行，跟以往不接纳他的邻居修缮关系，甚至出钱出力为了政治，让佐治亚人得以自治。他对女儿的宠爱勾画出了一幅幅感人的父女亲密画面，让所有看到的人，无不为之动容。他亦反思钱财不是全部，对于曾抛弃他的家人，他最终选择了原谅和宽容。

小说的主人公思佳是个个性鲜明的人物，和平年代的她，美丽、自傲、爱慕虚荣，希望成为大家关注的宠儿，具有爱尔兰血统的热情奔放，敢爱敢恨，受母亲爱伦言行的教育和宗教的束缚，行为还有所顾及，基本符合当时社会对一个上等人的要求标准。但是，战争改变了她也成就了她。肉体上，她体验了饥寒交迫的困境;精神上，她从一直依赖别人的角色转眼间变成家人依赖的中心。她潜在的坚强不屈、在困难面前不低头的个性，使她彻底改变了，她可以不顾上等人的身份，干连负责家务的黑奴都不愿做的田间劳作，她可以不顾世俗的眼光，大胆经营只有男人可以从事的事业，成为一个自强、实干、精明的女强人，然而与此同时也多了狡诈和欺骗。是媚兰感化了她，点醒了她，最终她深深眷恋的土地又重新赐予她力量，为真爱重新满怀对生活的信心：毕竟，明天又是新的一天呢。

思佳的一生贯穿着与两个男人的爱情：艾希利和巴勒特，但是她对这两个男人都并不了解，正如小说中讲到的，如果她了解艾希利，那她就不会爱他;如果她了解巴勒特，那她就不会失去他。她一直以来是辜负巴勒特的，她只是不停追寻着自己当初编织的爱情童话，在这个童话中，她做了一件华丽的衣服，让艾希利穿上，而后爱上他，她认为她所爱的全部优秀品质，都只有艾希利具有，而事实是，她爱的只是那件衣服。艾希利是她的精神动力，她为了他勇于与残酷的现实做顽强的抗争，但是她之所以取得成功，又是巴特勒自始至终无微不至的爱帮助了她。如果没有战争，如果没有对艾希利梦幻般的爱，那么她可能就是一个世俗凡人，过着绝大多数人所过的普通生活。时势造英雄，信念造英雄。思佳是那个时代的出色女人!

思佳是个生动的角色，人是环境的产物，所以我理解她在不同环境中的所思所言所为，即使在这个过程中，有错爱、有迷茫、有丑陋、有遗憾，但是她一个弱女子能在绝境中闯出一番成功的天地，着实令人钦佩，而在此过程中的缺憾，只能说明她是人，不是神，所以她才生动、才真实、才更打动我。

一部以美国南北战争为背景的外国名著，名字叫《飘》。

1980年6月14日，香港《文汇报》登载了美联社13日发自北京的一条小平同志6月13日接见美国费城坦普尔大学代表团的电讯稿。

电讯稿这样写的：坦普尔的大学联络办公室负责人乔治•英格拉姆说，该代表团“同邓小平讨论的范围很广”，其中包括“美国小说《飘》”。“邓说，有些人不同意在中国出版这本小说，因为它歌颂奴隶主;但邓认为应该出版，大家可以有自己的观点。”而据接待这个代表团的科学院外事局整理的谈话记录记载：当谈到美国南北战争时，小平同志说：“你们有一本书叫《飘》，是写南北战争的。”外宾说：“是的，现在正在拍电影，有一位电影明星作主角。40年前已经拍了一部电影，现在又在拍另一部。”小平同志说：“小说写得不错，中国现在对这本书有争论，因为这本书的观点是支持南方庄园主的，我们想用中文出版这本书。出版了也没有关系嘛，大家看一看，评论一下。”

最近笔者抽空阅读了这部由美国著名女作家马格丽特•米切尔创作的以美国南北战争为背景的小说，结合社会现实产生了一些思考。

美国的南北战争是美国历史上一场对社会产生变革的战争。战争爆发的起因从林肯为代表北方看，是为了维护国家的统一和摧毁蓄奴州的奴隶制度;从南部联盟的方面看，是为了巩固腐朽的奴隶制度。尽管作者在小说中不惜笔墨地对战争前南方的自然风光描写的那样美丽，把奴隶主和奴隶的关系写的那样和谐融洽，但奴隶制度黑暗的阴影却在作品里无不留着痕迹。女主人公思嘉的父亲——杰拉尔德•奥哈拉，那个心地善良的奴隶主，一出场做的就是一桩买卖奴隶的交易。虽然她的母亲在她心里是正义、真理、慈爱和睿智的化身，是圣母玛利亚的化身，她可以善待奴隶，做着为奴隶生孩子接生等善事，但她对奴隶的态度也是出于怜悯和同情，骨子里对奴隶的鄙视是显而易见的。南北战争的结局是最终是奴隶制度的瓦解和美国的统一，我们可以认为是正义战胜了邪恶的。任何一种社会变革都会使阶级关系发生变化，南北战争在使奴隶得到解放的同时，使原来这些养尊处优的奴隶主的生活状态也得到了彻底的转变。

小说主人公思嘉，原来是一个我行我素的悠然自得的贵族小姐，在衣食无虞的环境里，单纯地追求着美好的爱情。可是，她在情网里每每失意，她爱艾希利，而艾希利另有所爱，他爱的是媚兰。“艾希利要和媚兰结婚了!”这消息对她无疑是晴天霹雳。最后她为报复媚兰，嫁给媚兰的弟弟，而不几天，这个她并不喜欢的丈夫却死了，结果她背上了一个寡妇的黑锅;她对艾希利抱着希望，但由于最后还是在“和平令她失望”的时候，“艾希利也令她失望了。”她负着世俗的偏见，爱上了白瑞德，却因为战争不能厮守在一起。她不爱那个年龄大了小老头弗兰克，可为了生存为了塔拉的利益，他还是决定牺牲自己的爱情去夺取这个自己妹妹的未婚夫，她嫁给了他。她认为“苏伦(妹妹)不配有这么一个心爱的丈夫，也不配做一个商店和一个锯木场的老板娘”。她在那样的境况中，她好不容易遇到一个弗兰克这样的有钱人，她就象“溺水的人遇见最后一根稻草一样。”他为了生存和这样她并不爱的人生活在一起.他虽然后来经过风风雨雨在弗兰克死后和白瑞德生活的一起,但由于互不理解,还是分道扬镳.南北战争使这个贵族女子的爱情失败了，希望破灭了。一个在优越的环境里无忧无虑的女子，后来不得不为战胜饥饿和贫穷而奔波，甚至不惜用美好的爱情为代价而获得生存。

再看那些战争前的奴隶主贵族，在战争爆发前是那样的狂热，那样的充满自信心，蛮以为他们的胜利是必然的。可是，经过这场战争他们不但失去了富庶的家园和农庄，连他们人上人的地位也彻底改变了。还有那些奋发有为的青年，他们在战争前对这场战争充满莫大的希望，可是,那种勇于挥斥方遒的勇气和为保卫家园而战的情怀，经过这场战争全被磨灭了。

可见，社会变革对人的影响之大!

美国在历史上没有大的动荡，南北战争给他们的教训是沉痛的。经过战争，他们已经充分认识了内战对一个民族产生的不良影响。因此，美国从此再没有过“窝里斗”的内战，而是把对社会的改良、民众的平等，人权的保障作为政府的首要责任。从而使这个民族强大起来。

美国的南北战争发生在1861——1965，除此，基本没有大的社会动荡。可是我们中国,在这段时间以前和以后的时期，却始终在一种不稳定的动荡里徘徊：帝国主义的侵略加速了摇摇欲坠的封建王朝灭亡;辛亥革命赶跑了皇帝，却没有摆脱人压迫人的境地;北伐的胜利，取而代之的是国共两党之争;抗日的胜利，换来的是4年国内战争;新中国成立了，人民成了社会的主人，可阶级斗争又把人推上了一种全民的政治斗争，于是,又出现了新的社会不平等现象，于是，产生了上有贫下中农、工人阶级，下有地富反坏资本家的三、六、九等，在政治的高压下形成了新的等级和社会矛盾;改革开放政策得到了民族经济的振兴，但社会矛盾却在进一步加深，官僚腐败的肆无忌惮，社会分配不公的日趋明显，社会成员地位的差别增大，以经济收入和权力多寡为标准，社会中形成了森严的等级关系，好像又要倒退回美国南北战争前的奴隶制时代。有钱有权者颐气指使,劳苦大众卑如牛马,剥削和压迫、反抗和斗争已成为社会的普遍现象,如此状况,无不令人忧虑。

好在党的新一代领导人明察秋毫，高瞻远瞩，提出了创建和谐社会目标伟大思想。我们是否能够建设成一种真正的和谐社会?让实践来检验吧!

When I was a freshman in college I watched the film Gua Sha Treatment for the first time, now I am a junior student and I come back to review the movie from a multicultural aspect, I have many different feelings after watching the film again.

At the beginning of the film, XuDatong is given an award and later he delivers a speech. What makes me impressed most is in his speech he says “one day I will become one of you, a truly successful American, today this award proved that America is a true land of opportunity and I am the living proof of that.” At that moment Xu thinks he has realized his American Dream totally with his lovingly wife and adorable son. However, I think it is ironical that to make a speech like that and I assume it is made on purpose to hind a clue for the story’s development. How many non-American people have such a beautiful American dream? One of my classmate studies in American now and before he went aboard he told me his American dream is he can stand at the top of the New York. To be honest, I also dream that one day I can get the Green Card living there happily and successfully maybe working at the Wall Street. When Xu gets the award he thinks he entirely melted in the melting pot neglecting the multicultural obstruct, later the plot goes against the way he thinks. And later Quinlan asked Xu ‘why you be the scapegoat of your father?’ Xu answers ‘because he is Chinese.’ Then maybe Xu knows that there is always a wide gap between Chinese and American cultures.

The second scene is Xu hit his son Denis because Denis hit the son of xu’s boss, at the middle of the film xu tells his boss that he hit his own son is only to show his respect to his boss John Quinlan, that time Quinlan feels puzzled “what a Chinese logic”， yes, American can never understand such a logic full of Chinese characteristic, because they respect everyone including the children, they won’t beat a child to please the boss, and there is no such a conception of degree between employee and employer, they feel everyone is equal, which is quite different from china.

Connected to the second scene, the third difference I want to analyze is the care for the children. In America, people pay more attention to the right of children which can be seen from the law—leaving children alone at home is illegal, while in China it is so common that almost everyone may experience such loneliness. And Children Welfare Agency does work in America which shows the importance Americans attach to children’s right. What’s more, I remember a line ‘No one won the case, especially the child.’ In my opinion, it also manifests the universal concern from the American public to the children.

The fourth aspect is following the procedure, in the film, more than there times, the people focus on the rule, the law, the procedure. At the Christmas Eve Xu wants to return back to his home pretending as a Santa Claus, what a pity, the security recognizes him and persuades ‘you are always a good tenement, never causes troubles for me.’ And another scene is at the end of the film , the judge says ‘I have to follow the procedure.’ However, in China people always have to ask for a favor to do something, and later you have to pay back the favor ，for myself, I prefer the American style, strict to the procedure.

The fifth and the last point is the humors, Quinlan says ‘you can’t fall, your health security is the company paid.’ ‘Datong, welcome home, maybe next time, you can come from the front door.’ ‘dady, why you come from the window’ ‘ because we don’t have a chimney.’ I really adore this distinguished American humor, especially in dangerous situations, which is quite rare in China.

That’s my whole reaction to Gua Sha Treatment.

《摆渡人》是刚读完的一本英国小说。

内容讲述，一个父母离异性格内向的小女孩，独自一人坐火车去见自己的父亲，火车在通过一个隧道时失事，小女孩醒来时发现自己是这场事故的唯一幸存者。她走出隧道口，和远山坡上一直望着她的小男孩一起跨越这个荒原。

事实上，小女孩是这场事故唯一的遇难者，和小男孩相遇的是她的灵魂。

小男孩就是灵魂的摆渡者，将刚刚去世的人的灵魂从荒原摆渡到另一个世界，否则逝者的灵魂将被荒原上的魔鬼吃掉从而进入地狱加入魔鬼的群体。

故事情节颇惊心动魄，在跨越荒原的日子里，小男孩一直保护小女孩两人相依为命，产生了爱情。当小女孩跨越荒原成功摆渡到另一个世界时，因留恋小男孩而找到了回到荒原的办法再次与其相见。

当然，结局也没有让读者失望，二人一起从荒原逆行回到了人间，达到了圆满。

这个故事听起来似乎和平常我们看过的穿越剧，灵异电影相似。但当你仔细品读时，字里行间透露出我们对自己人生态度的思考。

对于死亡 ：

若人死了真有灵魂的摆渡者，那么死亡或许没那么可怕，只是离开了一个现实宇宙能看见的世界到达另一个颠沛流离的世界罢了，在那里有逝去的亲人，活着的人早晚有一天也会到来，死亡只是一个空间的跨越罢了。

曾经我读过一篇文章，是一个年岁很大的老者写的，他说若万事抱着一颗好奇的心去对待，或许就能消除恐惧。有人问老者害怕死亡吗?他说曾经很怕，因为他难以想象一个人走在死亡边缘那一刻什么感受。后来他不怕了，他很好奇那一刻的到来，他会是实践者，他要知道答案。

在我的读书生涯里，也有同学的父亲或母亲离世了，伤痛的他们我们无从安慰。一个人在接受亲人的离开时会有种崩溃的感觉。若他们能将亲人的离开看做是空间的跨越，或许心灵的伤痛会有所减轻。

以前在书上看到过这样一句话，我们每个人都来自墙上的一幅画中，只是从静态的平面跨越到动态的立体空间，如果有的人离开了，TA只是回到了那副画里而已。 当我看到这句话的时候，突然觉得特别轻松，因为那一刻开始我觉得世界没有可怕的事情，一切都是我们的心态所为，如果连死亡都不怕了，世界还有更可怕的事情吗?

看过一个访谈节目，专家说这世界有太多永远解不开的秘密。比如，人死了到底有没有灵魂，到底有没有另一个世界的存在，这没有人能亲自实践过再回头告诉世人答案。所以，大可像那位老者一样保持好奇心，亦或相信还有另一个世界的存在。

每个人都是自己心灵的摆渡人，善恶都由自己摆渡，你选择做什么性质的人，行动和意念的支配都由你。消极的情绪，萎靡的状态，自私，凶恶，冲动，没自信等等负面的标签你可以往身上贴，最后形成一个糟糕的人这也是你自己造成的。我们有权摆渡自己的心灵，完美自信，积极向上，友善，宽容，高情商做到这些并不难，关键看你对生活的态度，你执念于什么，你将得到什么。

摆渡人的方向很广，你想要将自己的心灵摆渡到哪个河岸，你要做一个什么样的人，由你决定。
