Last Saturday, our class visited the Museum of the Anti-Japanese War. When our school bus arrived at the Museum, we got off and entered in line. Calligraphy is the essence of Chinese culture, which has developed into a special high-level art apart from satisfying the needs of daily writing. It has been flourishing for thousands of years in China. Shops with strong commercial atmosphere will gain some elegance if they are decorated with some quaint cultural calligraphic works. Sitting rooms, studies and bedrooms can be nice-looking with calligraphy works decorated. As a kind of art work, the writing of calligraphy is particular. The Chinese characters are written on Xuan paper which absorbs ink very well and then are mounted to hang on a wall. The calligraphy works are mostly a poem or a motto that the host of the room likes it much; if it is written by the host himself, it will demonstrate more his aspiration and interest as well as his talent.

The Pressure From College Students

In China, the number of college students increases every year, as more and more students get the college education, college students are under great pressure. We hear from the news that a lot of students can’t find jobs after graduation, then the next year, the other students gets graduating, the two years’ students compete for the jobs! I just can’t imagine such situation. The pressure from college students is getting greater, they should relieve it now and then, because too much pressure will bring bad effect, some may distort their minds, once their emotion can’t relieve in time, some tragical things may happen. It is said that some students suicide themselves because they have much pressure. Everybody will have pressure, but we must know that pressure brings motivation, at the same time, it also brings burden, we have to balance it. When we deal with it well, we can live a better life.

在中国，大学生的数量每年都在增加，随着越来越多的学生接受大学教育，大学生承受很大的压力。我们从新闻上看到很多学生在毕业后找不到工作，第二年的时 候，另外一些学生毕业，两年的学生竞争工作!我无法想象这样的情形。大学生的压力越来越大，他们应该时而不时地释放压力，因为太多的压力会带来不好的影 响，一些学生思想扭曲了，一旦他们的情绪得不到及时释放，悲剧的事情就会发生。据说一些学生自杀因为过多的压力。每个人都会有压力，但是我们必须知道有压 力才有动力，同时，压力也是一种负担，我们要平衡压力。当我们处理好压力时，才能过得更好。

People will make a lot of friends during their lifetime, the more friends

they make, the more capable they are. Some young people are proud of having many

friends, but only the true friends deserve us to care about. The person we make

must be positive to life. He will set the good example to you and help you to be

a better man. The bad friends will make you perverted, especially for the

teenagers, they can’t make the right judgement and are easy to follow others, so

the friends are very important part of their lives. Once they make the wrong

friends, they will do the bad thing. So we don’t need more friends, just the

right one.

I have many friends, but Jim is one of my best friends. He is not handsome, but kind-hearted. We know each other at primary school. He was the tallest in our class at that time. He is good at study and playing basketball, while bad at playing table tennis. Everytime he has delicious food, he will give it to me. Moreover, whenever I feel sad, he will play with me and comfort me. However, he is not spoilt me. For example, everytime I meet difficulties in study, I would like to copy his, but no matter what I say, he never give his homework to me to copy. Instead he teaches how to do it. All in all, no matter what difficulties I meet, he will help me. It is him make me realize that a friend in need is a friend indeed.

过了大约一个小时，许多看上去可口的菜已经在桌上乖乖滴躺着了。我们开始吃饭了，可是小妈和妈妈还在厨房里忙活着呢!看到大家津津有味地吃着，我觉得打心里佩服小妈的厨艺，可看着这满满一桌子的美味佳肴，心里暗暗担心：如果现在叫妈妈别在烧了，那等一下就不会有剩菜了;如果现在妈妈还在烧，那等一下肯定会剩下很多吃不完，太浪费了。于是，我就连忙跑到厨房，请她们停下，说道：“妈妈，小妈二位辛苦啦，我来汇报一下前方客厅就餐情况，菜做的很好，大家非常喜欢，但是你们别在烧了，再烧的话肯定要浪费。”妈妈她们听从了我的劝告，把手中最后一个菜烧完，就和我一起去吃饭了。我们大口大口地吃着，聊着自己的生活和工作上的事情，快乐极了!

“锄禾日当午，汗滴禾下土，谁知盘中餐，粒粒皆辛苦。”这首诗大家都应该会诵读，并且懂它的意思。可是我们日常生活中，浪费粮食的现在还是随处可见。所以老师家长从小就教育我们节约粮食。我们大家一定要响应并且实施光盘行动，节约粮食!杜绝浪费!我为今天我的建议得到妈妈她们的认同和支持感到非常开心和自豪。

Long long ago, many families had three or four children. They couldnt look after everyone well, so the children must do everything by themselves. They were too poor to go to school. Some of them liked learning, but they had to go to find jobs to make money. Since they were children, they could do lots of difficult things like their parents. Sometimes they even did better than them!

But now, many families have only one child and they regard their child as a pearl. They did everything for the children. Every day, when the child gets up, their parents help him to make the room clean. They also get breakfast ready for their child. When the child is free, they can sleep or do other things, but they neednt do any housework. So many children cant cook; wash their clothes, some dont even know how to clean the floor. That’s too bad.

In the future, many families will have computers. We can work on the computer instead of going out to do everything. The children also can learn on the computers, so they dont need to move! After a long time, well become fatter and fatter. We wont be able to do anything by ourselves!

So, which way is good for us? We must think more.

很久以前，许多家庭有三或四个孩子。他们不能照顾好每一个人，所以孩子们必须自己做所有的事情。他们太穷上不起学。尽管有些人喜欢学习，但是他们不得不去找工作赚钱。当他们还是个孩子的时候就像他们的父母一样能做很多困难的事情。有时，他们甚至比他们父母做得更好!

When I turn on the TV, I have heard the kitchen came the voice of nagging presence: "alas, the child is watching TV, you know every day watching TV, how big is not sensible, graduation will be over in a month..." Whenever at this time. My heart is pulled tightly, sick of it.

一个很富有的国家里，人们有着这种意识。我们得好好反思：我们是个资源不是很丰富的国家，而且人口众多，平时请客吃饭，剩下的总是很多，主人怕客人吃不好丢面子，担心被客人看成小气鬼，就点很多的菜，反正都有剩，你不会怪我不大方吧。事实上，我们真的需要改变我们的一些习惯了，并且还要树立“大社会”的意识，再也不能“穷大方”了。食物一旦为你煮熟上桌，你们不吃完就成了泔水，就无法再给其他需要的人吃了。我们真有吃不完的食物吗? “钱是你自己的，但资源是全社会的。”这才是真正的公民意识，一个安居乐业社会的最基本的意识之一。

在中国宴请、聚会、甚至个人在外就餐、大学学生食堂大量浪费随处可见、司空见惯，不以为耻!也把这种德行散到国外真可悲。

在这次做题中，我知道了一个道理，无论做什么事，只要认真，你一定会克服眼前的困难，不会让他给大道，并且向更艰难的路走去。
