No one can have failed to notice the fact that water shortage is a grave problem with which the whole world is confronted. Actually, it has become so widespread that it has severely affected peoples daily life and hindered the development of the global economy.

A number of factors could account for the problem, but the following might be the critical ones. First, with the development of agriculture and industry, an increasing amount of water is needed. Secondly, the ever-increasing population is another leading cause of water shortage. Besides, the global tendency of warming up also contributes to the problem. 森林里的稀有动物越来越少了，野生的白虎已经灭绝了，只有人工繁殖的白虎。国家一级保护动物兼国宝的大熊猫也濒临灭绝。最常见的东北虎也变得非常稀少。野马目前也灭绝了。这都是人类捕杀动物的后果。

我们必须保护环境，因为我们包括地球上的所有生命都不愿生活在被污染的地球上，我们喜欢生活在干净、美丽又祥和地球上，所以大家一起动手，把地球回复成以前的样子，让地球上的生灵们和平共处，共创美好的家园！

我热爱地球，热爱我们赖以生存的家园。爱他的青山绿水，爱她的碧草蓝天……

记得有一次，我与妹妹去超市，舅舅说要开车带我们去，而妹妹却说：“咱们别坐车了，骑自行车去好不好嘛？”“很累的哎，妹妹”我装作很累的样子对妹妹说。“姐姐，咱们不开车去，就不会排放尾气，全国就少了一个排放尾气的车辆，保护环境从我做起哦，姐姐说对吗？”我被妹妹给“打败”于是，无奈的骑着自行车去了。

回来的路上，我一边开心的吃着零食，扔下了包装袋。我一看，咦？妹妹呢，扭头一看，妹妹跳下车来正在把我仍的垃圾袋一一捡起放入垃圾箱，我说：“妹妹，快别捡了，不干净的”“姐姐，保护环境从我做起，从小事做起哦”顿时，我的脸热辣辣的，我突然觉得我不配做一名少先队员，是啊，保护环境，实行环保，是每一个少先队员应该做的，而我却没有做！从此我下定决心，再也不乱扔垃圾了！

据资料显示，在北美洲、欧洲及大洋洲上空，臭氧层正在变薄，南极上空的臭氧层已经出现了“空洞”。而导致这一切发生的，都是我们人类，在平时生活中，人们汽车排放出的尾气，工厂冒出的浓烟，农民燃烧秸秆的浓烟，农药，含氟的用品，都是造成温室效应的罪魁祸首，破坏臭氧层。

同学们，“地球病了”！人来在创造巨大的财富的同时，对环境的破坏也在加剧，严重的环境污染，生态失衡……使我们人类赖以生存的家园正处在危急之中。地球母亲在“呻吟”，大自然呼吁“我们只有一个地球！”保护地球母亲是地球上每一位居民的责任。

从现在开始，保护环境从我做起。

People plant a great number of young trees in the mountains.When the trees grow big and tall enough,they are cut down by workers and carried out of the mountains to the paper mill where fine paper is made from wood.Then it is taken to every corner of the country and used for different purposes.Some people use paper to copy writing,others use it to write something such as letters,reports and articles.When paper turns out to be of no use,the waste paper is collected and retreated in the recycling factory before being put into use again.

地球是人类生命的摇篮，是世间万物的母亲，是人类的家园。曾经，它是那样美丽壮观。然而，不知从何时开始，地球妈妈的美丽不见了，取而代之的是一片黑色，他开始哭泣，开始呻吟……

地球妈妈为什么会变得如此丑陋不堪，变得如此黯然忧伤呢？这就只有问问人类自己了。

原来是过量的农药、大量的白色垃圾、随意丢弃的电池污染了松软、肥沃的土壤，使地球妈妈的皮肤变得既板结又贫瘠，而且还长满了难看的小痘痘。

原来是大量的工业废水、生活污水不经过处理就排进河流，流入海洋，使地球妈妈的血液变得肮脏。

原来是随意堆放的垃圾散发出腐烂的气味，越来越多的汽车排放出超标的尾气，越来越高的烟囱散发的乌云直入云霄，使地球妈妈呼吸不到新鲜的空气。

原来是良田遭遇荒芜、森林遭遇滥伐、绿洲遭遇荒凉，地球妈妈的肺逐渐衰竭。地球妈妈像一个羸弱的病人，太需要我们照顾了。

人类为了满足自己那贪婪的心，不断的破坏地球，毫无节制的的摧毁地球，让我们一起来保护地球吧！加入我们“保护地球”的大家听吧！

保护地球从身边的小事做起，从点滴做起！

现在，人们都不讲卫生，使地球变得很不干净。

工厂里的废水向河里排，排废水的人会不会想想，如果人类喝了那些水，会怎么样?

还有，人们砍伐树木，踏入草坪，做过这些事的人会不会想想，没有了树木我们怎么有新鲜的空气和氧气，没有了小草我们怎么绿化家园啊!再说，如果沙尘暴来了，没有了树木的阻挡，我们的家园会变成什么样。

为什么街道旁都有垃圾桶，这是提醒人们不要随地乱扔垃圾，把手中的垃圾扔进垃圾桶里。但是，很多人都爱随地扔垃圾，这种行为不仅损坏我们家园的形象，还让地球再一次的被污染。

我想告诉大家：“保护环境就是爱护生命啊!”要想保护环境，就要从身边做起，从我做起，把我们家园建设得更加美丽吧!

I am a student from Xinhua Middle School in Chongqing，China. Informed that

you have a vacancy for a student to serve as the spokesman for animals, I cannot

resist my inner excitement,hoping to seize the opportunity to do something for

animals .

In my mind，nothing can delight me so much as caring for animals. Wherever I

go and whatever I do, I usually keep in mind that animals are angels from the

heaven, which bring us endless comfort and pleasure. I have been a panda lover

since my childhood. Panda is so lovely that brings fun to people and they are

regarded as the treasure of our country. Unfortunately，such a rare species is

now faced with the danger of being extinct。What I am eager to do is to raise

people’s awareness of animal protection and appeal to more people to care for

our earth companies.
