正月十五后，春节就算过完了，新的一年开始了。

在夜晚，我除了能看见星星，还会看见萤火虫。

萤火虫的英文名称叫firefly，又叫夜光、景天等名字。

我从妈妈的手机里看到萤火虫的投是半圆的，中间有一个橙红色的东西，稍微靠头顶上的那对雨滴形，而且又是青色的东西，就是他的眼睛，它的触须又细又长，头的下面就是翅膀，会发光的部分是身体和尾巴。那里是一个椭圆，而且它的颜色真是白里透红啊!说到这里，你应该知道它为什么会发光吗?

我在网上查了，原来，它有两种细胞，一种叫荧光素，一种叫荧光素酶。但是他们不能发光，还差一个重要的东西——氧气。萤火虫呼吸的时候，氧气进入发光细胞，与荧光素结合，在荧光素酶的作用下发生化学反应，就发出了光芒。

原来是这样，看来连动物之物都有学问。

有一天，弟弟送给我一个又大又红的苹果，它的皮是红色的，像小朋友的脸蛋一样红。它的果肉是白色的，像棉花一样白果肉里面还有一个长长的果核。

首先我拿着苹果做了一个观察，我用水果刀从苹果的侧面一刀切了下去，苹果立马分成了两半，中间的果核就像一个小星星。

然后我拿了一半最小的苹果，尝尝它的味道，又酸又甜。我把最大的一半做成了水果沙拉，水果沙拉做好后，我就把他放到了桌上，弟弟吃了一口后赞不绝口的说好吃。

只要我家一有苹果，我就会给他做水果沙拉，如果家里没有酸奶了，我就会把各种各样的水果切好，放在盘子里，可是唯一不可缺少的水果就是苹果。

现在，弟弟最喜欢吃的水果就是苹果，我也非常喜欢吃苹果呢!

在我们学校，也开展了悼念和赈灾活动。2008年5月19日至5月21日，是全国哀悼日，学校操场上那面国旗也悄然降下半旗。2008年5月19日14时28分，全校师生为灾区死难人民默哀三分钟。我们学校还开展了捐款活动。在老师的号召下，同学们纷纷将自己平时积攒下来的零花钱带到了学校。在班级里，同学们踊跃地将捐款交到了老师手中，五元、十元、五十元、一百元，钱虽然不多，但每一分都代表了班上同学对灾区人民的爱心。在学校举行的捐款仪式上，全校同学肃立在操场上，各个班级都派出代表走上捐款台，庄严地将凝聚着同学们爱心的捐款投到捐款箱中。

这一刻，我相信灾区人民在全国人民的帮助下，一定能够从灾难中站起来，重建美好的家园。

我的老家有一个果园，休息的时候爸爸妈妈经常带我去那里玩。

春天，果园里，花红柳绿。柳树长出了嫩绿的.叶子，桃花树盛开着许多粉粉的小花，还有许多雪白的梨花。

夏天，果园里，骄阳似火。枝叶更繁茂了，地上的西瓜藤结满了又大又圆的西瓜。西瓜吃起来可真甜啊!晶莹剔透的葡萄像一个个透明的弹珠，吃起来也非常的酸甜可口。

秋天，果园里，硕果累累。红红的苹果真大啊，一个个又红又大的苹果像羞红脸的胖娃娃。柿子树上挂满了红通通的柿子，就像是一盏盏红灯笼。黄澄澄的梨子就像一个大大的宝葫芦。这些水果都是我爱吃的。

冬天，果园里，白雪皑皑。所有的果树都穿上了白色的衣裳，大地也盖上了一层厚厚的棉被，一切都在为来年的春蓄力。

果园里一年四季的景色可真迷人啊!每次来到这里，我都情不自禁地说：“这儿真美!”

湖广襄阳府枣阳县有个叫蒋兴哥的男子，娶了本县王公的女儿三巧儿，两人婚后十分恩爱。有一回蒋兴哥到外面去收账，一年多没有回家，三巧儿在家等啊等啊。心里很是焦急!于是就请算命先生算卦，算命先生说：“别急，你的丈夫过几天就会回家了。”三巧儿听了高兴万分。由于一心盼着丈夫回家，便每天出外翘首以盼，脖子都望酸了。

中秋节有许多习俗，例如拜月、设香案、吃月饼、燃灯……我印象最深刻的是吃月饼。每年中秋我便等待着黑夜的来临，左顾石盼，终于盼到了天黑。天黑了，一轮若隐若现的明月终于缓慢地升上了天空，漆黑的夜空中便像点燃了灯笼那般，照亮了夜空。哎呀，爸爸终于回来了!我连忙去开门，哟，爸爸带竟然回来了两袋子月饼，我像饿狼一样扑到袋子上把，把手探进袋子里找了一个月饼，没管什么馅的就往嘴里塞。哈，真香耶，这是一个蛋黄馅，我美美的咂了咂嘴，爸爸妈妈看见我的饿像都笑的合不拢嘴。在妈妈的忙碌下又尝到了几小块不同味道的月饼，直到满嘴流油打饱嗝为止。

中秋节也是团园的节日，月儿圆又圆，家庭又团圆，希望那些爸爸妈妈在外地工作的小孩子，早日与爸爸妈妈团聚!

“叮铃铃”一阵上课铃声响起，原本喧闹的班级瞬间安静下来，67双小眼睛整齐地望向站在门口的新英语老师——许老师。

许老师快步走上讲台，这时，我才看清她的容貌，齐肩短发，黄褐色的皮肤，体型微胖，有一点点塌的鼻梁上架着一副眼镜。

许老师先做了个自我介绍，幽默的话语把我们逗得哈哈大笑。虽然没有以前王老师课上活跃，但是许老师课上有一种和谐、欢乐的气氛。总之，许老师在这一节课中，给我留下了深刻的印象，甚至超过了王老师。

从此，我开始期待许老师的英语课。终于，要上第二节课了，老师先教我们“old”、“Mr“、“miss”等单词，我的单词发音还算过关，但是，我的字母写得就太差了，我害怕老师让我们写单词和字母，可终究还是逃不过的，老师让我们写“A”、“B”、“c”、“D”、“E”、“F”、“G”这7个字母，当时，我怎么也写不好，尤其是“A”和“G”这两个字母，它们就像是和我作对一样，我往左斜，它偏偏往右斜，正当我苦恼时，一双温暖的大手握着我的小手写了一个标准的“A”和“G”，然后又让我自己写了一遍，嗯，确实比以前写得好多了。

从此，我每次写英文字母时，总感觉有一双手握着我的手。我希望在许老师的帮助下，我的英语能有很大进步。

吃完晚饭后，我和爸爸妈妈一起来到水库边观灯赏月。我看到又大又圆的月亮挂在深蓝色的天空中，它一会儿躲在云里，一会儿又跑了出来，好像在和我们捉迷藏。大概八点钟，所有的水灯都亮了，每一盏水灯都有它自己的特点，有的灯上是二郎神杨戬的图案、有的是屠龙剑的画面、还有的灯是镂空的金色花瓶，它们非常漂亮，让我忍不住尖叫起来!

今天的英语课上，我们玩了一种新游戏，规则是：老师抛出泡沫做的筛子，那是个很大的筛子，像足球那么大个，不过是四方形的。谁抢到筛子，谁就读5个单词，读完5个单词有奖励1个星星。刚开始老师走到哪里我们就跟到哪里，气得老师说：“回去！这样违反了游戏规则。”我们只好灰溜溜的回到自己的座位上。这时，老师一挥，大筛子朝中间的潘晨艺砸过去，他伸手接住啦！我旁边的黄子洋叹了口气说：“唉，没抢到，真是的。”随着老师抛筛子位置的变换，我们也跟着移动，好几个人都抢到筛子了。 我像毛毛虫似的扭来扭去的接，可就是接不到。唉！大家正玩得热火朝天呢，老师说：“游戏时间结束，现在开始复习功课。”唉！真扫兴！大伙儿唉声叹气的回到座位上。因为没接到筛子，这节课我才得到2颗星星，下节课我要加油了！

现在我又来到剑龙的山洞里，剑龙的身体上有两排像剑一样的东西。我看见剑龙妈妈正在孵化宝宝，剑龙爸爸到对面的森林里采集果子给恐龙妈妈吃，这样才能让宝宝更加健康，好幸福的恐龙一家人!

接着，我又来到大树下遇到蜿龙。蜿龙的脖子特别长，像长颈鹿一样仰着头吃树上的叶子。蜿龙的尾巴有超强的力气，但它的性格很温和，所以我并不害怕它，甚至还抚摸了它一下呢。

后来，我又遇到了霸王龙，霸王龙的脾气很坏，它的战斗力很强，它有尖尖的牙齿，其它恐龙都不敢靠近它，所以我还是敬而远之的好，怕什么来什么。霸王龙看到了我，迅速向我追击过来，我吓得撒腿就跑……

惊慌失措中一下跌进了一条通道，我睁眼一看，又把我送了回来，真是一场神奇有趣的探险啊!

Dont Waste Water

As we see ,water is the source of life. But there is a very limited available water resource in our world. So we shouldnt waste it. Of course, we have to use it to drink, cook, wash, clean and etc. But we must remember not to use it extravagantly. If we didnt stop such wasteful habits, we would cut off the development of the world and the human life.

一年一度的中秋佳节终于到了。我很高兴，就连太阳公公也格外的高兴，拼命地发出热和光芒，让我们只能呆在家里，商量好晚上才出去玩。

傍晚，我们早早吃过晚饭，就准备好了月饼和一些碎了的面条。我们去到文化广场的人工湖一看，哇!喂鱼的人好多啊!我们赶紧找个地方坐下来，拿出东西喂鱼。

好多鱼啊!它们都争先恐后地来抢食月饼，鱼儿们好像也知道今天是中秋节要吃月饼似的。观看的人看到此景都欢呼起来，高兴极了。

等到我们把手中的食物喂完，就去儿童乐园玩了一会儿。回家的路上，爸爸说：“今晚月亮太高兴了，好象喝了点酒，所以现在给人晕晕的感觉。”“哈哈哈”，爸爸说得太好笑了。

今年的中秋节，我过得真开心!

春节是中国的传统佳节，也是我们家乡一年中最热闹的节日。

大人们聚在厨房里“战斗”着，大伯伯围着围裙，满头大汗。大伯母低着头洗菜，婶婶忙着整理碗筷......大家说说笑笑，忙得不亦乐乎。小孩子们换上新衣裳，在小院里打打闹闹，可开心啦!

年夜饭开吃了，我们围坐在圆桌旁，桌上的饭菜非常丰盛：有黄瓜、玉米和豆子做成的“火车”，有用虾和土豆丝合成的“灯笼”，还有慢火熬出的美味鸡汤......我们先请爷爷奶奶上坐，大家就迫不及待地开始品尝色香味俱全的美食。“祝爷爷奶奶健康长寿!”妹妹祝福道。我也不甘示弱：“祝爷爷奶奶福如东海水长流，寿比南山不老松。”哥哥词穷了，急中生智说：“祝爷爷越老越帅，奶奶越老越美。”逗得我们哄堂大笑。

吃完饭，鞭炮声震耳欲聋，此起彼伏。那声音很吵，我不是很喜欢，就问爸爸：“过年为什么非得放鞭炮呢?”爸爸说：“传说古时候有一个叫‘年’的怪兽，一到这时，就会来人间作恶。它怕红色，也怕鞭炮的响声。大家为了赶走它，每家每户都会在大门口贴上红春联，在窗户上贴红窗花，挂上红灯笼，还会放鞭炮。久而久之，这些习俗就流传下来了。”原来是这样，我又长知识了。

“爆竹声中一岁除，春风送暖入屠苏。千门万户曈曈日，总把新桃换旧符。”春节真热闹，家家户户幸福团圆，我在这欢乐喜庆中又长大一岁啦!

So what is it about the Dragon Boat Festival that appeals to foreigners? “It’s an unusual

sport,” says one racer from Germany. “It’s not like everybody’s doing it. That’s one of the reasons that there’s such great team spirit in a dragon boat team – everybody feels like we’re doing something special.” And what about the zongzi? “Ehhh, they’re not bad, I guess,” he says. “Something of an acquired taste. I just haven’t really acquired it yet.”
