DragonBoatFestival, often known as Tuen Ng Festival or Duan Wu Festival, is a traditional Chinese festival held on the fifth day of the fifth month of the Chinese calendar. It is also known as the Double Fifth.[citation needed] It has since been celebrated, in various ways, in other parts of East Asia as well, most notably Korea.

The exact origins of Duan Wu are unclear, but one traditional view holds that the festival memorializes the Chinese poet Qu Yuan of the Warring States Period. He committed suicide by drowning himself in a river because he was disgusted by the corruption of the Chu government. The local people, knowing him to be a good man, decided to throw food into the river to feed the fishes to prevent them from eating Qus body. 说起端午节，我们第一想到的就是屈原，因为端午节的起源和屈原有着巨大影响，端午节相传就是为了纪念屈原而设立的，那你想知道这个故事是什么样的吗，那就让我为大家分享一下我所了解的端午节纪念屈原之说。在很久以前，爱国诗人屈原是一个国家的大臣，他为了国家利益和发展，积极建言献策，主张推行一些对国家和人民有利的政策，但是当时的楚王昏庸，还听信谗言，加上楚国的日渐衰落，导致屈原很失望，所以屈原选择以死明志，在五月初五那天跳入汨罗江。爱戴他的百姓们纷纷乘船前往救援，为了让江中的鱼不伤害屈原身体，人们往江中扔粽子，但最终还是没有找到屈原。为了纪念屈原之死，人们每年都会在五月初五那天乘船往江中扔粽子，这也是农历五月初五端午节赛龙舟、吃粽子的习俗由来。

端午节传统习俗除了我们所熟知的赛龙舟和吃粽子外，还有很多有趣又有意义的活动，比如挂菖蒲，因为端午节正好在夏季开端，所以人们会用菖蒲来驱除瘟疫;喝雄黄酒也有驱邪解毒、强身健体之功效，还有悬挂钟馗像等等习俗，这些习俗大多有祈盼安康之意，端午节因此也有两个节日祝福歧义，有人支持“端午节快乐”，也有人支持“端午节安康”，但无论哪种，都是人们对美好幸福生活的祈盼。那这样的传统节日，我们怎能不喜爱呢?

端午节还有很多别样的名称和叫法，比如“诗人节”，是为了纪念爱国诗人屈原;端午节时间是农历五月初五，所以端午又名端五、重五、端阳等，有些地方亦称之为五月节、夏节等。其他名称我就不一一列举了。

My favorite festival is Spring festival,It is inportant holiday in every year .

First, it is a good chance to rest after a year s hard work . It is a great pleasure to prepare for the festval ,by shopping and cleaning up.And Spring Festival can bring many friend people. And we can stay at together, watching TV , playing the cards and singing.
