Lost time is never found again. This is something which I learned very clearly last semester. I spent so much time fooling around that my grades began to suffer. I finally realized that something had to be done. It was time for a change. Now I have a new plan for using my time wisely. I have set my alarm clock ahead half an hour. Spring Festival is my favourite festival. This years Spring Festival is in

February 8th. On New Years Eve, everyone will wear new clothes. My parents and

tradition of our family. At the dinner table, my grandmother will prepare a lot

In China， Spring Festival is the biggest day. People will come back home and enjoy spending some time with their families. Nowadays, any Chinese can enjoy the luxury of owning a private car - if he or she can afford it. Having a car of your own means no more traveling to work on crowded buses or subway trains, and you can drop off the children at school on the way. However, there are drawbacks to owning a car. For another, it is not cheap to run a car, as the prices of gasoline and repairs are constantly rising, not to mention the prices you have to pay for a licence and insurance coverage.

Having considered both sides of the argument, I have come to the conclusion that the advantages of owning a car outweigh the disadvantages. Therefore, it seems to me that China should increase its output of automobiles and enlarge the private car market. The result would be that cars would become cheaper, while at the same time the extra demand would encourage the auto industry to produce more efficient and family-oriented vehicles.

最后，大家围坐在一起观看期待已久的精神年夜饭——春节联欢晚会，我最喜欢的是旭日阳刚组合表演的《春天里》，那声音可真是气势磅礴、气吞山河；最神奇的是魔术，特别是一个魔术最引人注目：就是一幅画上有一条鱼，只见魔术师用手一抠，鱼就往前移动了一点，再一抠，鱼竟然变成了真鱼，跳进了鱼缸，这让我们瞠目结舌；还有相声《独家录制》，特别是他们快板段子说得非常快，令人拍手叫绝。

The 9th day of the 9th lunar month is the traditional Chongyang Festival, or Double Ninth Festival. It usually falls in October in the Gregorian calendar. In an ancient and mysterious book Yi Jing, or The Book of Changes, number 6 was thought to be of Yin character, meaning feminine or negative, while number 9 was thought to be Yang, meaning masculine or positive. So the number nine in both month and day create the Double Ninth Festival, or Chongyang Festival. Chong in Chinese means double. Also, as double ninth was pronounced the same as the word to signify forever, both are Jiu Jiu, the Chinese ancestors considered it an auspicious day worth celebration. That‘s why ancient Chinese began to celebrate this festival long time ago.

The custom of ascending a height to avoid epidemics was passed down from long time ago. Therefore, the Double Ninth Festival is also called Height Ascending Festival. The height people will reach is usually a mountain or a tower. Ancient literary figures have left many poems depicting the activity. Even today, people still swarm to famous or little known mountains on this day.

On this day, people will eat Double Ninth Gao (or Cake). In Chinese, gao (cake) has the same pronunciation with gao (height). People do so just to hope progress in everything they are engaged in. There is no fixed ways for the Double Ninth Cake, but super cakes will have as many as nine layers, looking like a tower.

The Double Ninth Festival is also a time when chrysanthemum blooms. China boasts diversified species of chrysanthemum and people have loved them since ancient times. So enjoying the flourishing chrysanthemum also becomes a key activity on this festival. Also, people will drink chrysanthemum wine. Women used to stick such a flower into their hair or hang its branches on windows or doors to avoid evilness.

In 1989, the Chinese government decided the Double Ninth Festival as Seniors‘ Day. Since then, all government units, organizations and streets communities will organize an autumn trip each year for those who have retired from their posts. At the waterside or on the mountains, the seniors will find themselves merged into nature. Younger generations will bring elder ones to suburban areas or send gifts to them on this day.

First of all, we should make a list about the things we need to do today. The chef thing to remember is to do the things which are extremely critical first. Second, be concentrated. For the people, they may lack of self-control, they are easily got distracted by other things, thus its important for them to do the things according to the list. Dont do other things unless you have finish your job. Last but not least, wake up earlier in the morning. Youll find you have more time to do the things you want.

In a word, we should have a plan about the things we are going to do. Only in this way we can use time effectively.

乌龟先生总是懒洋洋地伏在缸底，什么也不干。有时甚至一两天纹丝不动，害得我好几次都以为它死了，准备处理时，它才动了一下。乌龟先生安静得就像不存在似的，以至于我常常会整个月忘记给它喂食。它饿极了，才慢吞吞地用爪子抓得鱼缸咯咯响。那速度，简直和"疯狂动物城"里的闪电先生一样慢。有一次，我放几条小鱼进去给它做伴。它倒好，看了一眼，继续懒懒地趴着。小鱼在它身边欢快地游来游去，它也无动于衷。

原来，这看似普通的一碗粥有这么深刻的意义，于是我赶快请妈妈传授做“福寿粥”的方法。妈妈告诉我，先准备好要用的材料：必不可少的是粥米，豆、枣三样，其他可根据自家人口味配比，如核桃、粟子，玉米、葡萄干等。玉米要提前泡3—4小时，其他材料可混合洗净，再将所有的材料一起放入锅内，加足量水，烧开小火熬成粥即可。喜欢甜的就放些冰糖一起熬，用紫砂煲，三小时就能喝上粥了……

在我们这里，腊八粥熬好后，先要敬神祭祖，再赠送亲友，一定要在中午之前送出去，最后才是全家人食用。吃剩的腊八粥，保存着吃了几天还有剩下，却是好兆头，取其“年年有余”的意思。

腊八节喝腊八粥真有趣。这象征着多福多寿的腊八粥，大家可别忘了十二月初八喝一大碗啊!

“清明时节雨纷纷，路上行人欲断魂。”清明是二十四节气之一，这一天常常会下雨。而这一天也是中华传统节日之一——清明节。

清明节有很多习俗，最重要的是扫墓祭祖，其次还有踏青、插柳、植树、放风筝、吃寒食等习俗。

去年清明节，我和家人们一起去祭拜了我的曾祖们。一大早，爸爸就准备好了祭扫的物品。我们来到陵园，我和爸爸先把墓碑仔细地擦洗干净，然后用金粉把墓碑上面的字一笔一划描地清清楚楚，整个墓碑焕然一新。爸爸笑着说：“爷爷奶奶，房子翻新好了，觉得满意吗?”接着妈妈在墓碑前点燃了两根红色的蜡烛，摆上了一束美丽的菊花，我们一起向曾祖们拜了三拜。

回家的路上，奶奶给我们讲了讲关于曾祖们的故事，令我印象最深的是外曾祖母。奶奶的爸爸在她还很小的时候就去世了，外曾祖母独自靠做针线活把她的六个孩子拉扯大。我觉得外曾祖母是一个很伟大、坚强的人，我要珍惜现在美好的生活，也要学习她的坚强品格。

今年的清节却格外不同。中华民族刚刚遭遇了一场可怕的灾难，在那一天，所有人停下了脚步，暂停了一切娱乐活动，共同悼念在疫情中牺牲的烈士和逝世的同胞。

清明节虽然有点儿悲伤，但是我觉得和家人们一起祭扫，听祖辈们的故事，让我们一家人变得更亲密。哀悼烈士和同胞的活动，使我感受到了中华民族的团结，所以清明节也带给我们力量。
