streets. Governments at all levels have to do something to solve the problem of

heavy traffic in the city.

I would like to share with you some ideas about this problem: firstly, the

government should build more roads. This action can decrease the degree of

street congestion and make it possible for cars to run faster than ever before.

But each coin has two sides. If a city builds too many roads, the streets will

occupy much land. We will have little space used for other purposes. So

secondly, more special bus lines for public transportation should be added. Thus

people can go conveniently everywhere they like; they will not ride bikes or

drive cars. In this way, the number of cars and bikes on the road will be

greatly cut down.

As far as I am concerned, if we want to solve this problem, we should set

up an idea of public transportation first and give a priority to this idea in

our traffic work.

The tomb sweeping day is one of the traditional festivals in China. On April 5th, people start to visit their ancestors’ tombs. Generally speaking, people will bring the home-made food, some fake money and paper-made mansion to their ancestors. When they start to honour their ancestor, they will light up some candles and incense, put some flowers around the tombs.

The most important thing is to put the home-made food in front of the tombs. The food, also known as sacrifices, is usually made up with a chicken, a fish and some pork. It’s a symbol of the offspring’s respect to the ancestors. People believe that the forbears will share the food with them. The children dedicate the food and money to their forbears in order to show their love and caring. The young offspring will go down on their knees and pray for their ancestors. They can say their wishes in front of the tombs and the ancestors will make their dreams come true.

In some provinces of China, people use different activities to commemorate this day, for instance, spring-outing, swinging, tree planting and making special food. One special food is Ay Tsao rice balls. It looks like Tang-yuan, but its colour is green. Mix the ay tsao juice with the rice powder, then make it into small balls. The Ay Tsao rice ball is done. People believe that eating ay tsao rice balls can get rid of the bad luck and everything will go smoothly. Other activities such as spring outing, tree planting are the other ways to commemorate the forbears. For one thing, it is a sign that people should look into the future and embrace the hope; for another thing, we do hope our ancestor rest in peace.

It was the second day of our summer holiday. I felt good. I felt I am free. I had a lot of time to do things I like. My parents are in Zhongshan. So I live alone but I don’t feel lonely. But I didn’t do something special. I stayed at home and watched TV. Oh! I wrote an Englishdaily composition. It was my homework. Today, I have slept for 14 hours.I thought I was very tired. 渐渐地，我看见了那浅绿色的小豆子，它已经抽出了小小的芽，只不过不是很长，还未能伸出土壤。啊呀，都抽芽了呀，这样过不了多久就会出土，然后开花结果了吧。我乐嗬嗬地又将它慢慢地放入土中，小心地再铺上那层土，最后一点一点地撒了肥，浇了水。

这豌豆是抽芽时期，它应该和我们一样，极其需要营养和关注。于是我每天叁次施肥四次浇水，还要把它挖出来仔仔细细地看看，今天又长多少了。

然而它却像是停滞了生长，想要在土中过一辈子一样。这使我大跌眼镜，为什么我都对它这么好了，它却不长了?这种子一定是个坏的种子，压根就种不出来!

我失望至极，久而久之，便丧失了兴趣，只是有时想起来这件事，才会遗憾惋惜地给它浇些水。

一天清晨，小鸟儿还未醒，太阳正在努力地挣脱出地平线时，我勐然发现，在那棕色的小盆里，冒出了一点点的绿!我不敢置信地揉了揉眼睛，是的，没错，这像小火星的绿，正是那豌豆的芽。它从来都没有坏，它只靠着一点点的水，凭着自己的小小的勇气，探出了脑袋。像是初生的婴儿，它看上那么稚嫩。豌豆的淡淡绿被升起的太阳所照亮，它像是说：“瞧，我不需要你太多的关心，我可以靠我自己成功。”

那一刻，我心里有些什么忽然破土而出，万物生长，从不在于外界对它有多么地关心，而在于它的自身。过度的关心对任何事都是没有用处的，而我之前不正常的关心，恰恰是害了它。正如生活，太多的关心可能会让我们倍感压力，反而无所得。

如今的小豌豆，早已开出了花，结过了果，在这到来的秋天逐渐衰弱。而我，也收好了它的种子，期待来年的春天，再次遇见它，或者说是它的下一代们。

My dad bought a computer when I was five years old. I could draw pictures

and listen to music on it.

It was Saturday， just before May Day. My classmates and I went to the park nearby， we didnt go there for amusement but took part in voluntary labor.

We got there at 9：00. We were divided into three groups and then began working. The students in Group One planted trees and watered flowers. The task for Group Two was collecting the litter left about by tourists and cleaning the benches. The group I was in got to the Childrens Playground and wiped all the equipment clean. We worked very hard. At 11：00， when all the work was finished up， all my classmates met again. Although everyone was in a sweat， yet we felt happy because we had done good job.

The Yellow Mountain is one of the most famous mountains in China . It lies in the south of Anhui . Every year thousands of Chinese and foreigners pay a visit there . Its not far from here . It takes you about three hours to get there by bus . You can also go there by train or by plane . While you are climbing the mountain ， you can enjoy the sea of clouds ， wondrous pines and unique rocks around you . In the early morning when the sun rises ， the sky looks very beautiful . 今天，在黄校长的要求下，我们一行七个人，观察了掘港小学每周一次的升旗仪式。他们学校的升旗仪式和其它学校还有所不同。

在对学生们的教育教学管理的过程中，只是有爱心和责任心也是不够的。如果想做好这份工作，还需要一份儿智慧。就好比班旗，全校日常规的管理其实是多么平常的一件事情，但加以一些巧思，无形中既督促全体学生们做好班级常规，又无意识地培养了他们的集体荣誉感。真是起到一举多得、事半功倍的效果。

It was the first day of our winter holiday. All of us were very happy. Why? Because we have one months to do things we love to do. We are free. Although we have some homework.
