相信大家对魔方一定不陌生吧，最近呀，我们班又刮起了一阵“魔方风”，为了满足同学们的玩魔方的愿望，今天老师要带领我们举行了一场别开生面的魔方比赛。

刚进教室，大家就都拿出了魔方，瞧那一个个魔方：它们是正方体的体型，分成红橙黄绿蓝白六个面，我们拼的是三阶的，三阶魔方是硬塑料做的，一共有26个方块组成。比赛前大家有的正练习着魔方，有的正三三两两聚在一起讨论着玩魔方的技巧，有的则摆好了转动的姿势，显然，是有些迫不及待了。

郭老师宣布完比赛规则后，全场都安静了，空气就凝固在这一瞬间，随着老师的一声令下“预备——开始!”队员飞快地转动手中的魔方，真所谓“八仙过海，各显神通”。有的队员还时不时一边念着口诀，一边不假思索地转动着手掌中的魔方。“哗哗”声充满在教室当中。同学们也都把身子往前倾，生怕看不到。瞧我们班的李若雨，镇定自若地转动着手中手掌中的魔方，手中的魔方在她手里飞速着“变换”着颜色，只见她一会向左转，一会向右翻，翻、勾、转!速度真是快，那五颜六色的魔方在翻动着，真像表演“变脸”，让我们看得眼花缭乱。再看看陈天瑞同学，魔方在他手里却变成了一个调皮的孩子，好像是东躲西藏，他越想快，魔方却越不听“使唤”，只见豆大的汗珠从他头上落了下来，虽说是冬天，他的脸却已涨得通红，我们在场的观众无疑看着也是“心惊胆战”，无不为他捏出几大把汗，看得我更是直跺脚，心里也自然是“十五个吊桶打水——七上八下”，我恨不得一把将他手中的魔方夺过去，拆了去重新装!

“我好了!”随着一声叫喊，我们寻声看去，只见张之悦同学迅即把魔方一“扔”，一个“打回原形”的魔方赫然出现在同学们的面前。唉，真是太厉害了!我不禁佩服的“五体投地”。

经过激烈的角逐，张之悦同学以54秒的好成绩夺得了第一!

It was the first day of our winter holiday. All of us were very happy. Why?

Because we have one months to do things we love to do. We are free. Although we

have some homework. But we can finish them in several days. And the rest time we

can make good use of. My god! We have been very tired after hard studying. In

winter holidays, I want to have full sleep and eat good food in order to

replenish myself. Last but not the least, I will have a good rest.

Today is my birthday and Im so excited about it.In the morning I put a

note on the table for my mum and it said,"Today is my birthday,dont forget

it!"At school,I got many gifts and cards for my classmates and had a lot of

fun.But I was still expecting the birthday party after school.

When it was time to leave school I couldnt wait to go home.When I open the

door,there wasnt anybody in the house.There was only a note that said,"Coming

home late tonight,mum and dad."I try to call them but there was no answer.I was

so shocked,do they forget my birthday?How could this be!I was so sad that I

couldnt eat anything.I just did my homework and waited for them.

And then,things changed completely.It was about time for dinner,my mother

called and told me to go to the restanrant near our house.When I got there I

couldnt believed my eyes.Everybody was there:my parents,my relatives,my friends

and even my classmates.There was so many gifts and a big cake.What a surprising

birthday party!We had a good time and it was the best birthday party ever.

今天下午，英语老师拿考卷来发，没想到第一个就是我，我连害怕的时间都没有了。

可我拿到考卷的时候，这简直是老天送给我的惊喜。我考了98分！从四年级开始，我英语考试就没有一次能上九十分以上，不是七十几，就是八十几。可这回，竟然得了个98分！太让人不敢相信，连我自己感到不可思议。当我看到扣分数的那一道错题时，脸一下阴了下来——只是四个开头没写大写字母，就扣2分！这2分扣得未免太冤了吧。我把考卷拿着，快步走到位置上时，刚好老师叫到了姚子恒的名字。我以为他的分数会比我的分数高。没想到，哈哈，竟然比我的分数少。我得意扬扬，只能用考卷挡在我面前，好收敛我的得意。

记得考试的时候，我是擦了又改，改了又擦，前面两面才全对的。还有，第一题连线的，连单词和意思，这几单元的单词我都能背出来，称得上倒背如流，这种小题难不倒我。哦，我太激动了，还是收敛不住。

还有，还有，第五题简直是奇迹！这题的意思，我都不明白，只能跳过，等我全部写完了，再返回来写。这时，英语老师已经要收卷了，我也不知道是什么意思就随便填，没想到我瞎猫碰上死耗子，全蒙对了！

哇，这次我考得很满意，我又收敛不住了……

Today is Friday. We have a physical education class. Its a time for us

playing. Usually, the boys like playing basketball or football. Girls like

playing badminton or rope skipping. I like rope skipping very much and I am good

at it. Today, I did rope skipping with other girls. We had two teams and

competed to each other. Finally, my team lost the game, but we were still very

happy. By this game, we could build our body and had fun. Its really

interesting.

It was cooler than yesterday. One of my father’s friends invited me to eat red bayberries. You must know it is unusual. Because we will climb the hill to eat red bayberries. There is no chance to eat red bayberries in the hill for the people who don’t live in Beijing. On the hill, you can breathe the fresh air, you can listen birds singing and you can eat red bayberries. It was enjoyable. It is said there are wild pigs in the hill. What a beautiful natural.

Today I found time was a cruel thing. Whatever man is, time always goes on. It won’t stay to wait for somebody. You can’t use anything to exchange time. Time is also a fair thing. Although you have a lot of money or you enjoy high reputation, time won’t leave them more. Today I found I hadn’t enough time. Although I have 50-day holiday, but I found I had a lot of things to do. I have rested for 10 days. In these days, I felt very bored. I didn’t know to do what. Although I had a lot of things to do, I felt uncomfortable. I was ill because of the cold weather. I was tired, sleepy and had no strength. My parents are worried about my health. in fact, it didn’t matter. I was always in the room with air-conditioner and opened it in a low temperature. Kelly is one of my classmates. She is a pretty girl but a little bit shy.

The tomb sweeping day is one of the traditional festivals in China. On April 5th, people start to visit their ancestors’ tombs. Generally speaking, people will bring the home-made food, some fake money and paper-made mansion to their ancestors. When they start to honour their ancestor, they will light up some candles and incense, put some flowers around the tombs.

The most important thing is to put the home-made food in front of the tombs. The food, also known as sacrifices, is usually made up with a chicken, a fish and some pork. It’s a symbol of the offspring’s respect to the ancestors. People believe that the forbears will share the food with them. The children dedicate the food and money to their forbears in order to show their love and caring. The young offspring will go down on their knees and pray for their ancestors. They can say their wishes in front of the tombs and the ancestors will make their dreams come true.

In some provinces of China, people use different activities to commemorate this day, for instance, spring-outing, swinging, tree planting and making special food. One special food is Ay Tsao rice balls. It looks like Tang-yuan, but its colour is green. Mix the ay tsao juice with the rice powder, then make it into small balls. The Ay Tsao rice ball is done. People believe that eating ay tsao rice balls can get rid of the bad luck and everything will go smoothly. Other activities such as spring outing, tree planting are the other ways to commemorate the forbears. For one thing, it is a sign that people should look into the future and embrace the hope; for another thing, we do hope our ancestor rest in peace.
