It is shocking to notice that extreme violence has occurred with frequency on campus in recent years, home and abroad.

In November this year, a college student from a prestigious university stabbed to death a professor who was preparing for his teaching. In the US a deadly shooting by a Korean American college student resulted in 33 classmates’ death. These tragedies seem to be unimaginable when college students are regarded as the elite of the society. It is widely noted that lots of traditional culture is disappearing along with the development of technology. Many ancient architectures and traditional ways of living have been deserted. It seems that the traditional culture and craftsmanship will be replaced in this modern era.

The following reasons can account for the above phenomenon. Firstly, traditional technologies are always considered ineffective while the new sciences are always highly efficient. Secondly, it is costly to protect the traditional culture. If the fund used to protect the ancient culture was instead delivered to the poor, it will be helpful to the improvement of their living standard. Thirdly, modern science and technology facilitate both our daily and academic life a lot. For instance, college students always collect their thesis materials by surfing the Internet instead of borrowing books from the library.

In my opinion, although traditional culture is an ancient heritage, it couldn’t keep pace with the development of society. It is the tide of history that the traditional culture and technology will no doubt be eliminated in the end.

环境是我们人类赖以生存的条件，保护环境就是保护我们自己。保护环境，建设资源节约型环境`友好型和谐社会，促进经济社会又好又快发展，创造一个人与自然和谐共处的绿色文明时代是全人类共同的理想和不懈追求。我国“十一五”规划纲要提出，“十一五”期间单位国内生产总值能耗降低20%左右、主要污染物排放总量减少10%。这是贯彻落实科学发展观、构建社会主义和谐社会的重大举措;是建设资源节约型、环境友好型社会的必然选择;是推进经济结构调整，转变增长方式的必由之路;是维护中华民族长远利益的必然要求。 节能降耗关系经济社会可持续发展，关系到人民群众切身利益·对于企业来说节能意味着减少浪费、节约成本。对于国家来说有助于缓解供应和建设压力，同时节约社会资源，更有利于国民经济健康可持续发展。

节约型社会建设的重要意义，是让全社会都参与其中，这才是学习实践科学发展观的具体的体现。全国节能宣传经历十几年的发展与完善，旨在不断地增强全民的“资源意识”“节能意识”“环境意识”。而我们要把节约资源和保护环境理念渗透在学校教育教学中，大力开展少年儿童节能降耗活动，从小树立节能降耗思想。将节能降耗教育与课堂教育相结合充分挖掘学科教材中节能环保内容。以灵活多样的形式，将它们纳入课堂教学，真正落实节能环保进课堂。

节能降耗是我们大家倡导的一个主题，可总是把这些大道理`大学问挂在嘴边没用，需要大家齐心协力一起从生活中点点滴滴的小事做起。 平时我们要注意随手关灯，并使用高效节能灯泡带替传统电灯炮。(美国的能源部门统计单单使用高效节能灯泡代替传统灯泡，就能避免四亿吨二氧化碳被释放).白天可以完成的事情不留着晚上做，洗衣服在天黑前完成，早睡早起有利于身体健康，又环保节能。电脑电视不用时及时切断电源，即节约用电又防止插座短路引发火灾的隐患。不用时关掉饮水机电源。保持冰箱处于无霜状态。

靠循环再利用的方法来促使材料循环使用，可以减少生产新原料的数量，从而降低二氧化碳排放量。纸和卡纸板等有机材料都可以循环再利用。回收一吨废纸能生产800千克的再生纸，可以少砍掉17棵大树，节约一半以上的造纸原料。因此，节约用纸就是保护森林和保护环境。

垃圾分类可以回收宝贵的资源，同时减少添埋和焚烧垃圾所消耗的能源。用不同的垃圾袋，分别收集废纸`塑料`包装盒等。废纸被直接送到造纸厂，用以再生纸;饮料瓶，易拉罐和塑料等也可以送到相关的工厂，进行分解回收。每天进行垃圾分类和回收，不仅是我们应尽的责任，也有利于培养孩子爱护环境的习惯和自觉性。或将多余不用的物品集中起来，通过交换和捐赠的方法，达到重复利用的目地。

积极开展学校节能宣传教育基地建设，并把它作为参观学习节能降耗活动的一个窗口，努力营造浓厚的节约氛围。进一步增强广大师生的资源忧患意识。在学校开展以节能为主题的多种形式的校园文化活动，以自我为宣传教育基地的献计献策等活动。并举行环保大赛，收集一定的废旧物，让学生自行设计。在班级里倡导文明行为，不随地吐痰，不乱扔脏物，不践踏草坪，不随意摘花折草，保护绿色生命。在校园内不大声喧哗，减少空气污染。提倡少开空调，多开窗，少用电子产品。建议学校用中水绿化，多种树。不用常流水洗脸手。

能源连着你我他，节能降耗靠大家。让我们共同携起手来建设一个赏心悦目的绿色校园。
