There is this story about the moon-cake. during the Yuan dynasty China was ruled by the Mongolian people. Leaders from the preceding Sung dynasty were unhappy at submitting to the foreign rule, and set how to coordinate the rebellion without being discovered. The leaders of the rebellion, knowing that the Moon Festival was drawing near, ordered the making of special cakes. Backed into each moon cake was a message with the outline of the attack. On the night of the Moon Festival, the rebels successfully attached and overthrew the government. Today, moon cakes are eaten to commemorate this legend and was called the Moon Cake.

For generations, moon cakes have been made with sweet fillings of nuts, mashed red beans, lotus-seed paste or Chinese dates(枣子), wrapped in a pastry. Sometimes a cooked egg yolk can be found in the middle of the rich tasting dessert. People compare moon cakes to the plum pudding and fruit cakes which are served in the English holiday seasons.

One day, Ji An said to Emperor Wudi that the way the emperor used his ministers was just like piling up firewood, which meant that the latecomers surpassed the old-timers. Of course, Emperor Wudi could see that Ji An was complaining. So,turning to his ministers, Emperor Wudi said, "It is true that no one can stop learning.You see, Ji An is making more and more indiscreet remarks."

This story comes from The Historical Records. Later generations use the set phrase "the latecomers surpass the old-timers " to indicate that successors can cxcel the predecessors, which is quite different from the original idea when Ji An said that the latecomers surpassed the old-timers.

我的爸爸是一名教师，他平时工作非常忙。但是，他依然每天都细心的照顾我。这些天，我迷上了吃汉堡，经常在麦当劳和雄州买汉堡吃。爸爸认为外面的汉堡不健康，就花大价钱给我买健康的材料回家自己做汉堡。每天天还没亮，我还在呼呼大睡的时候，爸爸就已经起来给我做早饭了。他做早餐的时候非常忙碌，左手煎肉饼，右手给我热牛奶，还要准备奶酪、生菜等材料。每次都是爸爸做好了汉堡以后，才肯叫醒我。当我来到餐桌前的时候，都能看见爸爸辛辛苦苦给我做的汉堡摆在盘子里，静静等待着我去吃掉它。可是，我不忍心吃掉它，因为它非常漂亮。在金黄色的汉堡胚里夹着棕色的肉饼、奶黄色的芝士片、红色的番茄酱和绿色的青菜，看起来像一件精美的艺术品。可是一闻道那诱人的香味，我就忍不住了。

虽然我吃汉堡的时候，觉得跟外面的味道不大一样，但是，我吃到了一种特殊的味道，那就是爸爸的爱，这种味道在外面是永远买不到的。

人们自从自己从妈妈的肚子里“呱呱”落地的时，心灵都是纯洁、善良、美好的，都是拥有着爱，都被别人爱着。我就曾经亲眼看见过一件“爱”的感动故事……

一个阳光明媚的星期天，奶奶给我了十块钱，叫我自己用来买零食吃。我一蹦三“丈”高，飞快地跑出了家门，奔向食品店了去。在十字街路口里，围着一大群人，我十分好奇，便怀着好奇心，凭着个头小，左挤右闯地钻到里面。看到了一位戴着眼镜，身怀孩子，挺着大肚的阿姨跪在街头乞讨。在她跪前有着一张纸，上面大概内容就是说：她是乡下里面的一位教师，自己的老公在这座城市里开车赚钱，不幸被酒后司机的大卡车给撞倒了。现在在医院里，但是需要一笔资金，所以在街上向各位好心人乞讨。

我看完后，想把我的钱捐献给他，但是她衣衫整齐，衣冠楚楚，有想到现代社会的骗子十分多，万一她是骗子，是骗人的呢?但又看到她跪前的照片、结婚照，不禁有思考起来。但我实在是太喜欢吃零食了，又舍不得把十块钱全部给她。我咬紧牙关，直咽口水，肚子里的谗虫更是让我犹豫不决。我又想先用十块钱买了零食后，再把剩下的钱给这为阿姨，但又觉得不好意思。经过最后的思索后，还是选择买了零食吃。

我刚要进零食商店的时候，看见一位脚断了的残疾老人，拄着拐杖，从身上缓缓地拿出一个手帕，那个手帕十分陈旧，里面的东西被重重地包裹着。老人小心翼翼地打开手帕，从那里面取出一张显目的100元的钞票递给阿姨，然后欣慰地笑了。阿姨接过钱连忙说谢谢!

我飞快地跑到阿姨那里，把手中紧捏的十块钱递给了阿姨……

爱心两字在我的脑海中是那么的空洞，只知道它是汉语词典中的一个词，却不知道它有什么含义。。。直到那天，我知道“爱心”不再单单是两个词，而是让这两个字充满了意义。

轰动世界的5.12大地震中，社会各界的人们纷纷伸出援助之手为四川的同胞们献出了自己的一份力量，同时让我对“爱心”两字有了新的认识----- 爱心是一泓出现在沙漠的泉水，使濒临绝境的人看到生活的希望! 或许，地震发生后四川的同胞们最担心的就是以后要怎样生活，离开了家人的翅膀要怎样学会飞翔。就在同胞们苦恼，伤心时，社会各界的一些素不相识的好心人都义不容辞的伸出了援助之手，让感到恐惧，惧怕的同胞们，看到了生的火苗，生活下去的希望。就像在沙漠中走投无路的旅行者看到了生的希望，继续走下去的动力----甘甜可口的泉水。 可能就是在发出者本人感觉微不足道的一点爱却让濒临绝境，在生与死的边缘摇摆不定的人们坚定了活下去的信念。。。

爱心是照在冬日的阳光，是贫病交迫的人感到人间的温暖! 失去挚爱的亲人，自己美丽的家园现在已是是一片废区，比刺骨的冬风还要让人感到凄凉。正在同胞们伤心绝望的时候，看到自己的手足兄弟送来了爱心，我想每个人都会缓解一下自己那悲哀绝望的心情。正是这些爱心才让苦难中的素不相识的同胞们知道了自己并不是孤立的，看到了团结一致的手足情，感到了真人间无限的温暖。。。。

爱心是一首飘荡在夜空的歌谣，是孤独无依的人获得了心灵的慰藉! 可能，钱不多但是却代表了自己的一份心意。。。。夜总是让人感到的凄凉，抬头望望那不完整的月亮，想着自己的亲人在天堂是否过得好，几颗冰凉的泪水就不由自主的地落在粗糙的手背上。。。那时的悲凉心情或许就被你那一点一滴的爱心而是心情回转。。。。 爱心或许对我们来说，或许不算是什么忍痛割爱，但是对于正在苦难中的人们来说就是一针强有效地镇定剂，就是一个继续活下去的原因。。。 所以，那时的我，不再轻视“爱心”两字。

它可能拯救一个人的生命，可能改变一个人的人生。。。 现在“爱心”不再是那空洞的两个字 ，我不会再这样认为，我希望自己身边的人也不要这样认为!

我是一本书，一本有远大志向的书！我的“书生”目标只有一个，那就是为需要我的人打开知识的宝库……

常听起人们说，我们是知识的宝库，是打开智慧大门的金钥匙，是生活中的“好老师”……但在我看来，我只是一本扔进书堆里普普通通、平平凡凡的书。

一天清晨，我睁开眼睛，却发现别的书都在议论纷纷。我一听，原来是小主人要选三本书，让它们“爱心漂流”到山区，为那儿的孩子打开梦想的天空！小主人挑了两本书后，又径直朝我走来。“哎，别自作多情了，肯定不会选我。”我自嘲道。没想到的是，小主人拾起我说：“这本《背包魂》，我只看了一遍就不舍得再看了，是我最珍惜的书之一，就你了……”听了小主人的话，我无比自豪，暗暗地想：我一定要为小主人争一口气，也为了我自己的梦想，为山区的孩子们送去温暖！

我来到了堆放“爱心图书”的地方，与名著哥哥、绘本妹妹聊天，聊着未来的发展……

车到了，我们被一捆一捆地放进车里。在漂流的过程中，我不停地想着未来的命运：我是去哪儿？会遇见什么样的人？

旅途结束了，我被发到了一个山区的小男孩手上。他高高瘦瘦的，有一双闪烁着对学习渴望的大眼睛……于是，我把自己的所有人生哲理都教给了他。渐渐地，他变得自强不息，成绩好似火箭升空，先是夺得全班之冠，接着摘得年级之桂冠……随着时间的推移，他慢慢地成长，我也慢慢地发黄……他进入了高三，他明白“十年寒窗苦读，只为一朝金榜题名”。但在一次模拟考试中，一向名列前茅的他失败了。当他回到宿舍看见我时，他那双失魂落魄的眼睛又燃起了熊熊烈火！高考前夕，他轻轻地抚摸着我……终于，他以708分的成绩考进了清华大学经济管理学院。

二十几年过去了，他已是一名清华大学经济管理学院的知名教授。而我则成了他的珍宝，没有之一。

我也已经51岁了。俗话说，五十而知天命。这一天，终究来了……我不小心被一阵风吹得纸页四处飞舞，当然，我的生命也走到了尽头。

悄悄地我走了，正如我悄悄地来，我挥一挥衣袖，不带走一片云彩。我不负使命，此生无憾！我微笑着闭上了眼……
