According to a recent article on Newsweek concerning children’s’ education,

there is an increasing number of parents worrying their kids to an extreme

extent, depriving them of independence and freedom by keeping them around

parents all the time.

Some people applaud this phenomenon, suggesting that kids’ safety is the

most important. Thus, they’d better not enter the hazardous society without

supervision unless they become adults. From my point of view, some of their

opinion is correct but keeping children away from independence is a completely

erroneous decision. The reasons are as follows:

First and foremost, “locking kids” may hinder their healthy growth, both

mentally and physically. The kids who are locked may have heavy reliance on

their parents, as their comprehensive skills such as communication skills or

cooperative spirit being prevented from developing.

Secondly, what these parents fail to see is the fact that the crime rate

and accidents aren’t on a rapid rise. It is the abuse of mass media that make

crimes and violence more scary. The parents, who love their kids so much, are

completely forced to live under the illusion that our society is full of riots

or threats of accidents. Thus, kids can be allowed to have more freedom such as

walking to school by himself, for instance.

From what has been discussed above, we may safely draw a conclusion that

kids should be given more freedom by parents’ effort. At the same time, parents

should take many factors into consideration such as the time restriction for

children and the evaluation to kids’ maturity and capability. Only then can they

enjoy a safe and meaningful childhood.

“谢谢你，我真不相信我的宝贝儿子竟会照顾妈妈了。”我跪在床头，紧紧握住母亲的手，“妈，答应我，以后别再那么辛苦了，我能照顾好自己。”母亲只是静静得喝着粥，袅袅热气从碗中升起，渐渐得迷离了我的双眼。我一把搂过母亲，认真的说：“妈，你一定要健健康康的，我以后一定好好爱你!”

突然，我的双肩不住的颤抖，“好久没有人对我说过这样的话了，你真是我的好儿子!”刹那间，我觉得自己有了从未有过的坚强，甚至可以成为母亲的依靠。“妈，你要坚强，一定不能被病魔打倒!”母亲如孩子般的点点头，微微发黄的脸不再是苦涩的微笑，蒸腾的雾气充满整个房间，弥漫着爱的清香。

爱如春风，轻轻拂过我的脸颊;爱柔如水，涓涓淌过我的心头;爱，无形，却使我变得更加坚强!

As everyone knows, stress is a natural part of everyday life and there is

no way to avoid it. As the pace of modern life continues to increase, we are

always feeling on the go from morning till night. And it is hard to slow down.

Therefore, stress goes hand in hand with the life in a competitive society.

Different people, however, think of stress quite differently. Some believe

that stress is not the bad thing it is often supposed to be. They are of the

opinion that a certain amount of stress is vital to provide motivation and give

purpose to life. Others argue that stress contributes to one’s mental decline

and hence endangers his health. According to them, relaxation, the opposite of

stress, is essential for a healthy mind and body.

Personally, I’m in favor of the former view. I think it is impossible to

avoid stress when one is entirely devoted to the career he pursues. In my

opinion, it is only when the stress gets out of control that it can lead to poor

performance and ill health.

Happy Christmas Eve is coming, my heart is very excited, because Santa Claus comes

快乐的圣诞夜就要来了，我的心情十分激动，因为圣诞老人来了

早上起来看的日历今天是12月25日圣诞节，我们还是像往常一样上学，我想，圣诞节还要上学，累死人啊!没办法，只能上学了，哎外国的朋友一定放假，因为这是他们的节日，为什么，为什么，中国不放假!

我在这天晚上看到了圣诞老人，他笑着和我说，我来给你送礼物了，我收下礼物，打开一看，是一张纸，上边写着：我愿你好好学习，天天向上!不要老是想着放假!

我听到这句话，我在也不想着放假了!!谢谢你圣诞老人!

在我上一年级时，每天都是先去姥姥家，然后妈妈接回去，可有次冬天，北风呼啸，天早已黑透了，可妈妈还没来接我，望着窗外黑得发红的天，可妈妈就是不来，我不禁暗想到：哼，说好了八点来接我的，可时间都到了还不来。我不由得掉下了眼泪。 When I was in the first grade, I went to my house every day, and then my mother picked it back.But my mother hadnt come to pick me up, looking at the red sky outside the window, but my mother just didnt come. I couldnt help but think of it: Huh, after eight oclock to pick me up, but the time has not come.I couldnt help but shed tears.

没办法，我只好自己回去了，在路上，我不时地想着邮电新村的小区里，只要一到晚上就会伸手不见五指，漆黑一片，万一我不敢再往下想下去，不一会儿，就到了小区的入口，我探头往里望去，里面黑咕隆咚的十分吓人，再看大门，也像一个饥饿的大嘴，等待着美味佳肴。

我定了定神，深吸了一口气，快步的往里走去，黑暗立刻笼罩了我的全身，我一下子消失在了黑暗中。我一边往里面走，以边安慰自己马上就要到家了。路旁的两排树在风的折磨下吹，痛苦的沙沙作响，一盏微弱的灯可怜兮兮的挂在楼房上，显的格外孤独。就在我经过小花园时，在一个小草丛中发出了沙沙的响声。

我立刻僵在了哪里，一动也不敢动，僵尸、吸血鬼、厉鬼我再一次的不敢往下想去，时间仿佛定格在了这一刻，四周死一般的寂静，不知过多长时间喵喵的两声猫叫打破了僵局面，噢，原来是只猫我一边喃喃自语，一边继续往前走，可还没等我松口气，一个黑影走到了我前面。

我的腿一软，一下子摔到了地上，可哪个黑影竟把我扶了起来，借着微弱的月光，我看清了那个黑影的脸，竟然是妈妈，我看着妈妈哇的一声哭了，边哭边埋怨妈妈为什么不来接我，看着我这个样，妈妈心疼地对我说：同同，你没事吧，都是我不好，不该让你这么小就自己走夜路，你怨妈妈吗?我一听，立刻明白了，原来妈妈没有来接我是为了锻炼我自己走夜路，此刻，所有对妈妈的怨与恨都化成了爱。我使劲的摇了摇头，带着歉意说：对不起妈妈，我错怪你了，我不怨你!

童年就像天上的星星，永远闪光，永远美丽!
