He has eight lawyer assistants to help him and he examines every single letter in detail. There is nothing secretive about the Ombudsmans work, for his correspondence is open to public inspection. If a citizens complaint is justified, the Ombudsman will act on his behalf. The action he takes varies according to the nature of the complaint. He may gently reprimand an official or even suggest to parliament that a law be altered. The following case is a typical example of the Ombudsmans work.

A foreigner living in a Swedish village wrote to the Ombudsman complaining that he had been ill-treated by the police, simply because he was a foreigner. The Ombudsman immediately wrote to the Chief of Police in the district asking him to send a record of the case. There was nothing in tthe record to show that the foreigners complaint was justified and the Chief of Police strongly denied the accusation. It was impossible for the Ombudsman to take action, but when he received a similar complaint from another foreigner in the same village, he immediately sent one of his lawyers to investigate the matter. The lawyer ascertained that a policeman had indeed dealt roughly with foreigners on several occasions. The fact that the policeman was prejudiced against foreigners could not be recorded in the official files. It was only possible for the Ombudsman to find this out by sending one of his representatives to check the facts. The policeman in question was severely reprimanded and was informed that if any further complaints were lodged against him, he would be prosecuted. Other than referring to persons of African decent in derogatory terms (which Im sure uses terms even young children already know), the book would be an enjoyable read for people of all ages. I highly recommend this book for anyone looking to feel young again, if just for a few hundred pages.

Tina is a lovely girl. She has a lot of dolls. One of these dolls is very beautiful. She has long blond hair and wears a white dress. The little girl likes her very much. She called her “Sandy”. You would forget all the sad things and become happy when you see her.

5年前，河南平顶山冬夜的街头上，9岁的齐聪(化名)在爷爷爆米花的小摊旁借着昏黄的路灯光写作业曾让不少人动容。女孩的境遇一时间引来了大量的关注和捐助，截至2013年1月，社会各界已经给齐聪捐助了10余万元。然而5年之后，获捐后的齐聪仍和弟弟跟着爷爷齐长见在街头“乞讨”，齐长见的举动令不少人怀疑他只是在利用孩子博取同情和关注。6月20日，北京青年报记者从齐长见居住的村庄了解到，齐长见家不仅有低保补助，而且获捐的善款也未花完。而齐长见也向北青报记者证实，目前这些钱还没花完，但是他想能省就省。

“爆米花女孩”又现身街头

近日，《“爆米花女孩”曾获捐10万，如今带着弟弟乞讨》的视频在网络上引发热传。

网友拍摄的视频显示，在河南平顶山街头，一个小男孩和一个小女孩坐在人行道上，边做作业边玩手机游戏或是看视频。在小男孩的身旁有一张关于自己家庭的 “说明文章”，由自称是两个孩子爷爷的齐长见手写而成。齐长见称，自己儿子和儿媳均为智力障碍人士，他迫于生计带着两个孩子上街卖爆米花乞讨。

Aducation is not an end, but a means to an end. In other words, we do not

educate children only for educating them. Our purpose is to fit them for

life.

In some modern countries it has been fashionable to think that free

education for all can solve all the problems of society and build a perfect

nation. But we can already see that free education for all is not enough.We find

in such countries a far larger number of people with university degrees refusing

to do what they think is "low"work, and. in fact, working with ones hands is

thought to be dirty and shameful in such countries.

But we have only to think a moment to understand that the work of a

completely uneducated farmer is far more important than that of a professor~ we

can live without education,but we die if we have no food. If no one cleaned our

streets and took the rubbish away from our houses, we should get terrible

diseases in our towns.

In fact, when we say that all of us must be educated to fit us for life, it

means that we must be educated in such a way that, firstly, each of us can do

whatever work is suited to his brains and ability and, secondly, that we can

realize that all jobs are necessary to society, and that it is very bad to be

ashamed of ones work. Only such a type of education can be considered valuable

to society.

August 7,2014 Friday Today, I did housework for grandmother. She is not

very healthy and I decide to do housework for her more frequently. And she will

feel happy and become better. Suddenly, an idea hit me that it’s terrible to

grow old becuase you have to worry about both your health and others’ opinions.

Once again, I make a decision to be a good girl.

Last night, I watched a movie, it is about two teenagers, they have cancer,

but the boy is positive about life while the girl is negative about life. They

meet each other, then the girl is affected by the boy, she starts to see the

beautiful things in her life. I am so moved by the movie, though the ending of

the movie is not so perfect, we see the change of the girls life. The topic of

the movie is to tell people to be positive about life, no matter what happens,

even the bad fortune they get, they still need to smile every day. People need

to find the beauty of life, so they wont life live without meaning.

昨晚，我看了一部电影，那是关于两个青少年，他们身患癌症，但是男孩对生活很乐观，然而女孩子却对生活很悲观。他们遇见了彼此，然后女孩受到了男孩子的影响，她开始看到了生活的美好食物。我被这部电影深深地感动，虽然电影的结局不是那么的完美，但是我们看到了女孩生活的改变。电影的主题是告诉人们要对生活乐观，无论发生什么事情，即使他们遇到不幸，仍然需要每天乐观面对生活。人们需要发现生活的美，这样他们就不会活得没有意义。
