每年八月十五都是满月，所以才会叫中秋节，这时的我们都会一家人坐在院子里一边赏月一边吃月饼。姥姥最常给我讲的故事就是关于月亮上的嫦娥仙子、玉兔和桂花树。吃着香香甜甜的月饼听着姥姥讲故事感觉好幸福，姥爷问我：“好吃吗?”我说;“太好吃了!”姥爷说：“你只知道好吃，你知道月饼的来历吗?”我好奇地摇摇头“那好，我来给你讲讲吧，你姥姥只给你讲故事都还没有吃月饼，咱让你姥姥也吃着月饼听故事好不好?”姥爷说：“月饼最初是用来祭奉月神的祭品，后来人们渐渐把中秋节赏月与品尝月饼，作为家人团圆的象征，它代表着平安`幸福，慢慢地月饼也成了节日的礼品了。”姥爷接着问：“你知道月饼名字的来历吗?”我又摇摇头，着急的催姥爷快讲，姥爷说：在很久以前，“月饼”也叫“胡饼，”据说有一年的中秋之夜，唐太宗和杨贵妃赏月吃胡饼，唐太宗嫌胡饼这个名字不好听，杨贵妃仰望着皎洁的明月，随口说出“月饼”，从此“月饼”的名字便在民间渐渐传开。听到这里，我对姥爷说：“这个故事好美、这个月饼好香、好甜!”

可是妈妈又给我讲了一个不一样的故事。妈妈说：“中秋节吃月饼据说始于元代。当时朱元璋领导汉人反抗元朝暴政，约定在八月十五这一天起义，以互赠月饼的办法把字条夹在月饼中传递消息。中秋节吃月饼的习俗更在民间流传开了。”我问妈妈：“中秋节为什么要赏月?”妈妈耐心的回答：“中秋之夜，月色皎白，古人把月圆视为团圆的象征，因此，又称八月十五为团圆节。古往今来，人们常用月圆和月缺来形容悲欢离合。”整个晚上，我都在津津有味的听姥爷、姥姥和妈妈给我讲有关八月十五的各种传说，我都听的入了神。我对妈妈说：“我喜欢每个故事与神话。”妈妈摸着我的头说;“中国有五千年历史文化，中国的传统节日和文化需要我们一起传承、发扬光大，不可以让西方文化所侵蚀。”现在的我虽然不是很明白，但我会记住家人对我说的每句话。

睡觉的时候，妈妈教了我一首词，叫《水调歌头》(北宋，苏轼)明月几时有?把酒问青天。不知天上宫阙，今夕是何年。我欲乘风归去，又恐琼楼玉宇，高处不胜寒。起舞弄清影，何似在人间?转朱阁，低绮户，照无眠。不应有恨，何事长向别时圆?人有悲欢离合，月有阴晴圆缺，此事古难全。但愿人长久，千里共婵娟。妈妈念着词，我听着听着就慢慢的睡着了。

夜里我做了一个梦，梦里有我的老师、我和同学们围坐在一起，听老师讲故事、和同学做游戏、大家有说有笑的在一起吃着月饼欢度中秋佳节呢!

Special foods for the festival included moon cakes， cooked taro（芋头）and water caltrope（菱角）， a type of water chestnut resembling black buffalo horns. Some people insisted that cooked taro beincluded because at the time of creation， taro was the first food discovered at night in the moonlight.
