纵观我整个受教育史，我有过很多老师。但我最喜欢的老师只有一个。他是陆老师。他是我的初中语文老师兼班主任。他大约五十岁。也许是因为工作辛苦，所以他的背有点弯了。他总是戴一副黑色的眼镜。他看上去很和蔼可亲，对学习却是很严格的。他总是把我们放在第一位。他的课是非常有趣的，也经常讲各种不同励志故事。他对我们学习很严格。但无论谁有困难，他都会毫不犹豫地帮助我们。有时他是一个严格的老师，有时候他是一个慈祥的父亲。

Last summer, my family and I went to Hawaii for a holiday!

We flew across the Pacific to the tiny island from Beijing. After we booked

into a hotel, we rested. Our fun started the next day and lasted for two long

weeks. During our time there, we ate delicious exotic food and drank numerous

fruit juices. The Hawaiians are very proud of their unique food, often spiced

up with slices of juicy pineapple and strings of delicious cheese. There were

also fantastic beaches right accoss the tiny atoll. The water was sparkling blue

and the sand dunes radiated with an inviting warmth of gold. The place was

wonderful and the locals were really nice; I really enjoyed my holiday.

To sum up, it is unreasonable for parentsto control theirchildren’s life(总结句). In order to help them grow happily andhealthily, parents aresupposed to communicate with their kidsabout what they are really interested in(建议一，目的句型).Meanwhile, itis about time that parents let their kids make their ownchoices(建议二，“是时候”句型).Only in these ways will children grow in apsychologically happy environment andrealize their owndreams.

19世纪，列夫托尔斯泰说：一个人若是没热情，他将一事无成，而热情的基点正是责任心;20世纪，中国面对列强欺凌，我们的总理周恩来发出“为中华之崛起而读书”的誓言，这就是责任;21世纪的我们，无论在什么岗位上，无论扮演什么样的角色，做好自己的事就是我们的责任。

责任是这世间留给人们的考验，有些人禁不住难熬的考验，逃匿了。许多人承受了，戴上了荆冠。逃匿的人随着时间消逝了，没有在世界上留下一点痕迹。承受的人也会消逝，但精神使他们流芳百世。

那么，作为一名中学生，我们如何履行自己应有的责任呢?

首先，要学会对自己负责。一个人惟有对自己的人生负责，建立了真正属于自己的人生目标和生活信念，他才可能由此出发，承担起对他人和社会的责任，才不至于使自己的生活流于平庸。学习是社会、国家与民族赋予学生的一种历史责任。

作为一名中学生，应树立学习责任意识，把学习看成是一种愿望、一种追求、一种责任。

其次，对家庭负责。在现实生活中，我们享受着父母无微不至的照顾，沐浴着父母嘘寒问暖的呵护。然而有些同学不理解父母，过分地在物质享受方面向父母提要求，但在学业上缺少对家庭承担应有的责任感。我认为，作为一名中学生应学会对父母负责，我们虽不能与父母分担生活的艰辛、创业的艰难，但我们在生活上可以少让父母为自己操心，在学习上尽自己的努力让父母欣慰。

第三，对他人负责。我们每个人都是社会的一个成员，谁也不可能脱离社会而单独存在。要学会欣赏和接纳别人，学会理解和谅解别人，学会和别人沟通交流。人只有具有了集体观念、团队精神，才能自觉承担责任，尽到应尽的责任，才能进一步上升为社会责任意识。

雷锋同志曾说过：“如果你是一滴水，你是否滋润了一寸土地?如果你是一线阳光，你是否照亮了一分黑暗?如果你是一颗粮食，你是否哺育了有用的生命?”

让我们共同承担起自己的责任，收获人生!

I have a very good friend. His name is Philip. As far as Im concerned, hes very kind-hearted and generous. Once I was in high school, he treated me friendly and sincerely. When I was happy, he was also happy with me. When I was sad, he always comforted me. When I was defeated, he always encouraged me. When I stumbled, he always pulled me up. Although we quarreled at times, we were still in good relationships. We could know each other better after the argument. When my birthday came, he always sent me a special present.

Hes very hard-working and intelligent. He always studied hard at school. Because of his hard work, he always did very well in exams. His oral English was better than mine. Most of the time, he was willing to chat with me in English. Owing to his help, I made a lot of progress in oral English.
