④今日学术界所忘记的，就是一个人除作专家外，也要作人，并且必须作人。一个十足的人，在一般生活上讲，是全人，由学术的立场讲，是通人。我们时常见到喜欢说话的专家，会发出非常幼稚的议论。这就是因为他们只是专家，而不是通人，一离本门，立刻就要迷路。他们对于所专的科目在全部学术中所占的地位完全不知，所以除所专的范围外，若一发言，不是幼稚，就是隔膜。

念高三那年的一个周末，母亲第一次搭别人的车来到县县城的一中。在递给我两罐咸菜后，又兴奋地塞给我一盒包装得挺漂亮的营养液。我惊讶地问母亲：“咱家那么困难，买它干什么？”母亲很认真地说：“听人家说，这东西补脑子，喝了它，准能考上大学。”我摩挲着那盒营养液，嘟囔着：“那么贵，又借钱了吧？”母亲一笑：“没有！是用手镯换的。”那只漂亮的银手镯是外祖母传给母亲的，是贫穷的母亲最贵重的东西了，多年来一直舍不得戴，压在箱底。

母亲走后，我打开一小瓶营养液，慢慢地喝下那浑浊的液体没想到我当天晚上便被送进医院。原来母亲带来的那盒营养液是伪劣产品。回到学校我把它全扔了。

当我接到大学录取通知书时，母亲欣然道：“那营养液还真没白喝呀，当初你爸还怕人家骗咱呢。”我使劲儿点着头。

一个炎炎夏日，正读大学的我收到一个来自家里的包裹单。我急匆匆赶到邮局取邮包，未及打开那个晨三层外三层包裹得格外严实的小纸箱，一股浓浓的馊味已扑面而来。屏着呼吸打开才发现里面装的是5介煮熟的鸡蛋，经过千里迢迢的邮途，早已变质，发臭。心里禁不住埋怨：也不动动脑子，这么大的城市，什么样的鸡蛋吃不到？大热天的，还那么老远从乡下寄，肯定要坏的。

很快，母亲让邻居代写的信飞至。原来，前些日子家乡正流行一种说法，就母亲买5个鸡蛋，煮熟了送给女儿吃，就能保儿女的平安，母亲在信中还一再嘱咐，让我一定要一口气吃掉那5个熟鸡蛋……

读信的那一刻，我心里暖融融的，仿佛母亲就站在面前，慈祥地看着我吃下了5个鸡蛋。放暑假回家，母亲问我鸡蛋是否坏了，我笑着说：“没有，我一口气都吃了。”于是，我看到母亲一脸的幸福，阳光般灿烂。

毕业前，我写信告诉母亲我有女朋友了。母亲十分欢喜，很快寄来了一条红围巾。当我拿给女友时，她不屑地说：“多土啊，你看现在谁还围它？”女友说得没错，城里女孩子，几乎没有一个围这种围巾的。

后来，我跟女友的关系越来越淡，最后只得分手，那日，我问她：“那条红围巾呢？”“那破玩意儿我再给你买一打。”我当然没有要一打，只是心里充满悲哀，为母亲那条无辜的红围巾。

后来当我和妻恋爱时，我送给她的第一件礼物，就是跟母亲那条一模一样的红围巾，并告诉她是母亲买的。妻很能珍惜。

不过这是什么关系呢，我只要知道母亲是爱我的，而我能给予母亲的最大安慰就是——让母亲知道正是这爱成就了儿子的人生幸福，所以这三件事的真相我决定永远不告诉母亲。

每天阅读6 pages(6X225=1350字),在阅读过程中碰到new words先做标记,读完后再查D, 把生词记载在本子上,并及时背诵(我现在最怕的就是这一点,会不会半途而废???)

我准备默读, 这是我的习惯,朗读太费尽了,泛读也没有意义,介于精泛之间

我主要研究其词汇搭配.词汇的用法是语言中最难的,比如,法语中最简单的一个介词à,用法不计其数,在大型D上有好几页,为什么同样的词汇在名家手下就生龙活虎,到了我的手下就一潭死水呢?我认为这应该是读原版小说的最根本目的.
