听说动物园里有一位叫“美美”的大熊猫，生了7个熊猫宝宝。所以我刚一跨进动物园的大门，就迫不及待地冲进熊猫馆。可我一走进熊猫馆就大失所望。天啊，不会吧?今天只能看“睡美人”了。只见熊猫一只懒洋洋地趴在滑梯上做美梦，另一只干脆躺在草地上蒙头大睡，只看到了“睡熊猫”，真可惜啊!

接着我们又来到了骆驼居住的地方。因为骆驼比较温顺，不会伤人，所以骆驼馆的围栏中间留了比较宽的缝。骆驼可以把头伸出来向人们要东西吃。我们看它张着一张大嘴，就剥了一些花生喂给它吃。在我们的旁边，有一个大哥哥站在另一只骆驼面前，他向那只骆驼嘴里吐了一口口水。我正在想，这个大哥哥怎么这么可恶。可转眼间一件意想不到的事发生了，骆驼也不甘示弱，吐了那个大哥哥满脸的口水。那个大哥哥的脸刷的一下红了，急急忙忙地跑了。太好笑了，我的那颗快要掉的牙齿都差点儿被笑掉了。我真后悔没有拿起手中的相机，给那个被吐了一脸口水的大哥哥照张相，给他留作纪念。

Today, I went to drive in Monument Valley. We almost bumped our butts off. We made our own monument. We went in Monticello to go tothe restroom. It was a science lab. I copied a wolf on a computer. I also used handles to control tarish liquid that has iron in it. I also also did was control a ball. Last, I made a rose for mom and much more. Today is a supertastic day!

Today, I hiked on a trail in Arches national Park. It was the longest trail I ever hiked on. It was a rocky and dangerous mountain. I was extra exhausted. When I was at the top, WOW! It was an arch called Delicate Arch. It looks like Athena looking over everybody’s eyes to see if they are obeying rules. How can a loose little arch stand so high. So today was a miracle.

一到西安，刚下飞机，我的感觉是：热，太热了!在那火炉般的太阳照射下，大地仿佛是一个大蒸笼，迎面而来的热浪煎熬着我们这些“小笼包”哎，还是我们四季如春的昆明好啊!不过，热归热，我们还是打起精神，在导游的带领、介绍下，参观、游览完了西安著名的景点。在短短的五天时间里，我们参观了：明代古城墙、碑林、杨家岭、枣园、延安博物馆、秦兵马佣、环城公园、大燕塔、大慈恩寺。其中，最让我着迷，最受我青睐，最使我拍案叫绝的要数明代古城墙、延安及秦兵马俑。

傲对碧空矗千年——明代古城墙

在西安，我们参观的第一个景点便是明代古城墙。据导游介绍，城墙高10—12米，寛10—15米，整个墙体的周长是13.6千米，是于明代洪武年间建成的，到今天，古城墙已经700多岁了!经历了七百多年的风吹雨打，上百次大大小小的战争，城墙至今还完好无损，坚不可摧，这真是一大奇迹啊!登上城墙，一股古老幽香的气味扑面而来，一座座古香古色的小敌楼也马上映入我的眼帘，我仿佛置身于古代，和同伴们面临着一场险恶的大战……随着导游一声：“解散!自由参观、拍照。我才清醒过来，拿上数码相机，准备把这座令我神往的城墙都保存在里面。刚转身，我就看见两门古代火炮，长约一米，炮口有盘子那么大，整个炮身黑漆漆的。继续往前走，我发现了数不胜数的古代兵器：抛石机、云梯、搭天车、木幔、钩撞车等，制作得都很巧妙。城墙两边，有两座高大雄伟的建筑——箭楼，旁边有许多星罗棋布的敌楼围绕着它们。踏着脚下七百多岁的砖块，望着那些制作精良的兵器，我不由得发出感叹：我们的祖先们仅仅依靠一双手，没有任何现代化的机械，就制造出了那么多做工精细的兵器，建起了那么多外观雄伟的建筑，真让人钦佩!他们证明了我们中华炎黄子孙都是勤劳、聪慧、机智、勇敢的!要走了，我依依不舍地抚摸着这些久经沧桑的砖块，我会把这段记忆永远珍藏。

红色革命发源地——延安

在西安的第三天，我们吃过早点，便马不停蹄地向延安进发，经过五个多小时的颠簸，终于到了延安，感觉凉爽多了，而且空气清新，远远地就看见一座高耸入云的山峰，山顶上有一座土黄色小巧玲珑的宝塔，原来，这就是大名鼎鼎的宝塔山。山脚下，有一条波涛滚滚的大河，名叫延河。鉴于这两处景点举世闻名，所以，有人说：“延安巍巍的宝塔山，滚滚的延河水。”

下午，我们参观了杨家岭革命根据地，一进入杨家岭，我就被喧闹的气氛所感染。随着人流，我兴致勃勃地踏入中共中央大礼堂。听导游说，当年，第七次人民代表大会就在这里召开，看着这些简陋、朴素的桌椅，想着我们今天的幸福生活，我不由得对那些革命先烈们肃然起敬。接着，我们还参观了毛主席、周总理、朱总司令等一些领导人的旧居，他们每个人都只有两间朴素的窑洞，一间办公，一间住宿。在这种艰苦的环境下，他们还是领导着全国人民英勇抗敌，真是可亲可敬。随后，我们返回中共中央大礼堂，听一位老红军战讲故事。途中，我们路过一块正方形的菜地，导游说，这是毛主席当年亲自辛勤耕耘过的菜地，他还用这里的菜招待过外国朋友呢!在刚刚驻足过的大礼堂里，一位鬓发斑白的老红军满怀深情的给我们讲了起来，从战争讲到解放，从毛主席讲到人民，大家都听得津津有味。第二天中午，我们就要返回西安了，回头望着山上的一孔孔窑洞、宝塔山、清凉山，我不由得想起导游说过的延安精神：艰苦奋斗、自力更生。直到现在，这八个大字还在我的脑海里挥之不去。

这天早晨，风和日丽，万里无云，我们一早就前往举世闻名，绝无仅有的秦兵马佣参观。说到兵马俑，就不得不说一说秦始皇，他名叫“嬴政”，曾指挥百万大军西安，这个地名我早已熟悉，在语文书上，电视上，课外读物上，网上等许多地方都曾经出现过它的身影，据我了解：西安原名长安，是个历史悠久的 古城，古时候曾有13个王朝在这里建都，其中有8个著名、强盛的朝代，包括：秦朝、汉朝、唐朝等，被称为世界四大古都之首。这么多朝代都在西安建都，说明西安有着得天独厚的地理环境。西安南北长，东西窄，黄河的最大支流贯穿全市，是一处不可多得的风水宝地。

Im Alina Li and Im Ben Hedges, and today well be taking you through some of the most important traditions of Chinese new year and historical background. We will look at some of the legends behind Chinese new year and how to celebrate it. Here in the US and Chinese across the world.

The Chinese have specific way to celebrate their new year. If you walk down the street in Chinatown during Chinese New Year, you see a variety of ancient traditions such as red banners, firecrackers and lion dance performances, streets are filled with lively celebration.

However, legend has said that the new year has not always been a time of festivity. An Asian Chinese story told a chilly start to this festive holiday, it begins with an ancient Chinese beast called Nian.

Every New Year Nian would rise from swelling in the sea to ravage Chinese village in livestock and hurting people. The villages soon found out from a wise gray-haired old man that the only way to scare the beast away was to set off firecrackers and light lamps and to hang red banners on each door. As the story goes, this was the beginning of a tradition that would last thousands of years.

So this story leads to the creation of many of other traditions for celebrating Chinese New Year. lets take a look at some of these traditions.

Spring Festival is the most important festival in China .It’s to celebrate the lunar calendar ‘s new year .In the evening before the Spring Festival ,families get together and have a big meal .In many places people like to set off firecrackers .Dumplings are the most traditional food .Children like the festival very much ,because they can have delicious food and wear new clothes .They can also get some money from their parents. This money is given to children for good luck.

The Spring Festival lasts about 15 days long .People visit relatives and friends with the words “Have all your wishes ”. People enjoy the Spring Festival, during this time they can have a good rest.

到南京旅游过的人都知道南京有条美丽的“母亲河”叫秦淮河，她有着古老的历史。这些知识是我们去游览秦淮河之前爸爸告诉我的。

春节，我们全家人去南京旅游，爸爸带着我们去游览了秦淮河。穿过夫子庙步行街，我们就来到了秦淮河畔，岸边立着一块大石碑，上面介绍了秦淮河的历史。我高兴地站在石碑边，爸爸给我拍照留念。我们买好票，排队登上了画舫开始游览秦淮河。

“啦啦。”宁静的小路上传来我们欢快的歌声。哈哈，今天我们要去沙河边的东湖公园春游咯!

耶!走了两个多小时，欣赏了那么久沙河的景色，我们终于来到仙境般的东湖公园了!

一跨入东湖公园，同学们就禁不住赞叹起来：这简直就是人间仙境嘛!两个多小时长途跋涉的疲劳全都一扫而光了。这里有充满着春天气息的小草和树木，一片有一片的人工湖，还有着日本浪漫情调的粉红樱花呢!一阵微风习习拂过，将一片片柳絮和樱花瓣卷了起来，真是有说不出的惬意……

11点过了，该吃午饭了。我和同学纷纷拿出美味的食物，津津有味的吃了起来。“吧唧，吧唧。”

吃完午餐，我们便把书包收拾好，在美丽的东湖公园里散步。突然，我想起了老师布置的作业：将东湖公园里能体验出成都田园城市气息的景色拍下来!我们差点忘了这事!于是，我和同学各自拿出照相机，照下了这一幅幅田园与城市相结合的美景。啊，真是美不胜收!最后，我们按下快门，将自己与东湖公园融在一起的情景永远地留了下来……

除夕的晚上，我们一家人在爷爷家吃团圆饭，在餐桌上，有我最喜欢吃的糖醋排骨和八宝菜，晚饭吃完以后，我们一家人坐在电视机前看春节联欢晚会，可热闹了！在春节联欢晚会上，我看见了不可思议的魔法师刘谦在为观众们表演节目，还有很多精彩的表演，我们看到了精彩的表演以后，脸上露出了喜悦的笑容。

到了春节的第一天，我们就穿着新的衣服，去给爷爷拜年，拜好以后我们就一起去了坟山，给奶奶拜一个早年，让奶奶保佑我们身体健康。弄好以后，我们就准备回家了。到家以后，我们闲着没事干，就让爸爸给我们搭雪桥，爸爸搭了半个钟头就把雪桥搭好了，我是第一个试验品，踩上去以后，一踩就塌了，把我摔了一个大跟头。围观的人就哈哈大笑。如果是他们摔跤的话，我一定会比他们笑得声音更大。

初二的早晨，我就把烧好的稀饭端过去给爷爷吃，爷爷吃了我烧的稀饭以后，笑得乐陶陶，连嘴都闭不起来了，接着我就把爷爷吃过的饭碗洗干净。后来爷爷家里作客的人越来越多，爷爷家里一下子从冷清变成了热闹，我就扶着爷爷去里面看戏剧。并且还和爷爷开起玩笑来了……

从初二到初四，爷爷的家里就一直是热闹的，到了晚上的时候。我就会和姐姐们一起去小店里买烟火，买好以后就拿到爷爷家门口去放，噼里啪啦，噼里啪啦，可高兴了，可是大人们听得烦死啦，好像耳朵会聋一样，被大人们训斥了一顿以后，我们就垂头丧气，感觉在春节里连烟花都放不来的话，那么这个春节还有什么意义啊！接着，沈洁姐姐提出了一个建议，说：“要不我们去柯桥玩吧？”我们几个连声答应，好啊！好啊！说到了去玩，我们几个都是很乐意的……我想，我不用说你们也应该知道柯桥是一个多姿多彩的地方吧。

春节，是一个令人开心的日子，我想，如果时间可以倒流，再回到过春节的那段时间，那该有多好啊！

A new year ,a new start,when I stand on the edge of a new year,I cant help thinking about my plan of next year.

Just as the old saying：“Well began is the half of the success.”So I decide that I should be at work while the others are still relaxing ,and then ,at the beginning ,Im quicker than the others and of course I will get better result than the others.

But ,what I really decide to do is that I must make good of anytime I can spare though it seems impossible. While,I will do my best to live up with what I have planned,and the result will prove it.

春节对于中国人来说是最重要的节日。在每年的春节都让人兴高采烈，尤其是大年三十那晚，更是达到了高潮。

The Spring Festival lasts for 15 days, there would be starting on the first day, to the end of the January 15 Lantern Festival.it is the busiest time of the year for Chinese people. The arrangements they have to make for family reunions， buying necessities and preparing food keeps them busy throughout the holiday. Many of them travel back home and meet friends over dinner and drinks. The celebrations include decorating the house and setting off fireworks.But we are talking about a tradition that seems to be fading.

春节一共有15天，从大年初一开始，到元月十五元宵节这一天结束。在这段比较长的时间是中国人最忙的时候，他们为家庭聚会作安排，采购年货，准备丰盛的食物，以至于整个春节假期都忙忙碌碌的。许多人在春季期间都要回老家过年，跟朋友碰碰头，聚个餐。庆祝春节也包括大扫除和放烟火。但是我们现在要谈的是越来越淡的年味。

Yet no Spring Festival is complete without food. People could not get good food whenever they desired in earlier times， something that does not apply to society today. Many， especially those living in cities， are not interested in celebrating the festival with people they hardly know.

在过去，庆祝春节还只停留在北方的二人转和南方的舞龙舞狮等形式。那些庆祝活动往往需要许多人合力才能办得起来。但是经济的发展和国际化程度的提升似乎已经将这种社会联系弱化了。许多人，特别是城市居民，不太愿意与不相识的人一起共度春节。

Many customs associated with Spring Festival have changed， too. In the past， people used to visit relatives and friends with gifts and lots of good wishes. Today， many people， especially the youth， use their cell phones or the Internet to send their good wishes and even "gifts" to their relatives and friends. Some may say this a sign that people have become less caring about their near and dear ones， but we should see this development as a time- and energy-saving exercise granted by the information age.

与春节相关的许多习俗也被改变了。在过去，人们常常会带着礼物走亲访友，互道祝福。今天许多人，特别是年轻人，用手机或是网络向亲朋好友发去“礼物”和祝福。有些人或许会说，这说明人们已经没有那么关心至爱亲朋了，但是我们应该把这种变化看作信息化时代省钱省力的好办法。

In recent times， many people have started praying for a career promotion or more money instead of invoking God or the Buddha for a healthy and long life and the welfare of their family. But the number of such people is decreasing now， which shows that people are becoming more reasonable.
