Waking up on New Year, everybody dresses up. First they extend greetings to

their parents. Then each child will get money as a New Year gift, wrapped up in

red paper. People in northern China will eat jiaozi, or dumplings, for

breakfast, as they think "jiaozi" in sound means "bidding farewell to the old

and ushering in the new". Also, the shape of the dumpling is like gold ingot

from ancient China. So people eat them and wish for money and treasure.

Southern Chinese eat niangao (New Year cake made of glutinous rice flour)

on this occasion, because as a homophone, niangao means "higher and higher, one

year after another." The first five days after the Spring Festival are a good

time for relatives, friends, and classmates as well as colleagues to exchange

greetings, gifts and chat leisurely.

China has 56 ethnic groups. Minorities celebrate their Spring Festival

almost the same day as the Han people, and they have different customs.

I had a good time during Spring Festival.

This morning,I got up at six oclock.Then I brushed my teeth and washed my face.After that,I had breakfast with my parents.At noon,I went to my grandparents house and visited my aunts,uncles and cousins.In the afternoon,we made dumplings together.In the evening,we had dumplings,sweet and sour pork,and lots of nice dishes for dinner.After dinner,my parents and I went home.We set off fireworks and went to bed then.

We were all very happy.That was a nice Spring Festival.

在2021年东京奥运会上，有一位短跑运动员，他拼尽全力，仍未登上领奖台，但他却凭借9秒83的成绩，成为第一个闯进奥运会男子百米决赛的黄种人。

这个成绩，一举打破亚洲纪录。他的名字在赛后轰动世界，是继刘翔之后，又一个封神的中国田径英雄。

很多人不知道的是，这个国人心目中的短跑英雄，却是一个超期服役的80后运动员，甚至几次想打报告退役。

不过幸好虽然伤痛、年龄等因素让他在训练中倍感压力，但他却从未放弃过心中的梦想。

他就是中国飞人苏炳添。

在短跑之路上，他为自己书写了一个又一个传奇。

苏炳添，1989年出生在广东中山古镇镇，父母亲都是地地道道的农民。

古镇镇特别重视田径运动，经常在村子里举办比赛，比苏炳添大9岁的表哥就是村子里的短跑冠军。

苏炳添和表哥的关系很要好，两人经常在一起追逐玩耍，有时候，苏炳添比表哥跑得还快。

上学后的苏炳添真正接触田径运动还是在初中，看着学校田径队员的专业训练，苏炳添也想加入。

无奈苏炳添个子低，达不到入队的标准，被教练拒绝了。为了加入田径队，苏炳添给教练展示了一个绝活，他以1米5高的身材，向上跳跃后可以摸到2米9高的门板。

教练惊讶到合不上嘴，随后如获至宝般地接收了苏炳添。

县城的体育学校，训练条件实在有限，连最基础的训练设施都不完善，现有的设备也都是破破烂烂。

就在这样的条件下，苏炳添坚持每天早晨5点半就起床训练，一练就是一整天，每周六日天天如此，从未间断过，但他从来都没有抱怨过累。

经过教练专业的指点，苏炳添无论在技能上，还是在体能上，都有了突飞猛进的进步。 他在学校、村里的各项比赛中多次夺得冠军，这也为苏炳添日后成为“飞人”打下坚实基础。
