It is believed that the Palace Museum, or Zi Jin Cheng (Purple Forbidden City), got its name from astronomy folklore, The ancient astronomers divided the constellations into groups and centered them around the Ziwei Yuan (North Star) . Because the emperor was supposedly the son of the heavenly gods, his central and dominant position would be further highlighted the use of the word purple in the name of his residence. The Dragon Boat Festival is a lunar (阴历)holiday, occurring (存正)on the fifth

day of the fifth lunar month (农历史五月第五天). Dragon Boat Festival is my favourite

festival.During the holiday of Dragon Boat Festival,I got together with my

family to have a big meal.We ofen ate the zongzi.It tasted very nice.And we saw

the Dragon Boat Races.I felt excited because the race was bustling with noise

and excitement.At Dragon Boat Festival,we also drank realgar wine.Some people

The celebrations is a time for protection (防护) from evil (邪恶) and disease

(疾病) for the rest of the year. It is done so by different practices such as

hanging healthy herbs on the front door, drinking nutritious concoctions (营养品),

and displaying (展示) portraits (画像) of evils nemesis(邪恶报应), Chung Kuei. If one

following year will be a lucky one.

理财专家更有意思，编了个顺口溜：二十三，不吃餐;二十四，饿一天;二十五，看看手;二十六，看看肉;二十七，磨磨牙;二十八，吃苦瓜;二十九，直接饿倒在家门口。我们听了又笑起来。

一个男魔术师的“年年有余”节目令我非常欣赏，他带着自己家的祖先鱼登台表演，两只黑的，两只花的和两只白的。只见魔术师做了个揖，就能指挥金鱼走队形，让它们走到哪里就走到那里哩!但这可算不了什么，魔术师还把纸上的一只金鱼变在手心里，又放画中去;刹那间，魔术师把鱼全部变到水族箱里了。刚刚看完，我们拍手叫好，而小弟，看的张大了嘴，呆在那里，好半天才回过神来。春节晚会上，林志玲，周杰伦，冯巩，毛豆，小沈阳，赵本山等等一些很多人知道的腕儿都出场了，今年的春节晚会晚真是不一般!

许多主持人一起倒计时到“一”的时候，新春钟声敲响的时候，新的一年到来的时候，全国人民沸腾了，三亿中国人沸腾了，鞭炮声此起彼伏，一串串烟花腾空而起，如花绽放，天空明的如白昼一般。天上的烟花绚丽多彩，地上的孩子笑逐颜开，这真是一幅情趣盎然的风俗画，更是一幅欢乐祥和的喜庆图啊!

盼望着、盼望着，我们终于迎来了除夕。一大早，妈妈就开始收拾房间，洗衣服，我和爸爸忙着贴对联、挂灯笼，家里一片喜气洋洋的氛围。我们早早换上新衣服来到奶奶家，开始准备年夜饭，全家人有的在包饺子，有的在炒菜、有的在收拾碗筷……一阵阵爆竹声此起彼伏，我和爸爸也拿出早已购置好的鞭炮和烟花来到楼下的空地逐一摆放好，爸爸小心翼翼地点燃引线，我将双手捂在耳朵上远远的看着，“砰”的一声，烟花像炮弹一样射到了半空，炸出美丽的烟花，烟花漂亮极了，有的像绽放的花朵，有的像巨大的花伞，有的像七彩的扇子，照亮了夜空，增添了节日的气氛。

放完烟花，我赶紧跑回家，一进门，饺子的香气扑鼻而来，我急冲冲地夹了一个放进嘴里，不对，饺子里有东西，我惊奇地拿了出来，原来是一张藏在饺子里的百元大钞，我高兴极了，全家人向我投来了羡慕的目光，爷爷端起酒杯说：“我们一起祝欣航新的一年平平安安、学习进步。“5、4、3、2、1、0，带着家人的祝福，我们共同迎来了崭新的农历猪年！

“爆竹声中一岁除、春风送暖入屠苏。千门万户瞳瞳日，总把新桃换旧福。”春节是我们举家团圆的日子，也是全国人民欢聚一堂的日子。今年10月1日，祖国将迎来70华诞，我的春节愿望是：愿我们的祖国更加辉煌、更加富强！

难忘的中秋节

“小时不识月，呼做白玉盘。又疑瑶台镜，飞在青云端。”每年农历的八月十五是我最喜欢最难忘的节日----中秋节。中秋节洋溢着欢乐、喜庆、对远方家人思念之情。

期盼已久的中秋节终于到了，我们一家吃过晚饭，心里怀着激动无比的心情，来到外婆家门前的一棵榕树下。一边开心地吃着月饼，一边欣赏中秋的圆月，中秋的一轮圆月正冉冉升起时，它晶莹纯净，像一个透明的水晶球，美丽极了。它光芒四射，像一盏明亮的灯，亮极了。月亮一会儿躲在云朵里，被云遮住了，只露出半个小脑袋，羞答答的，像一个害羞的小姑娘。一会儿又整个“人”躲在云后，从外表上看，云上显得有一丝丝亮光。一会儿又像一位调皮的小朋友，正在和乌云姐姐捉迷藏呢!

我仿佛看见了嫦娥姐姐坐在一棵美丽的桂花树上，下面还坐着一只活泼可爱的小玉兔静静地陪在她身边，美丽的嫦娥仙子是多么的孤寂啊!这让我想到了一句话：‘嫦娥应悔偷灵药，碧海青天夜夜心。”

在这皎洁的月光下，我们一家人能够坐在一起聊着最近的见闻，是多么幸福的一件事啊!

月亮带给了我们无尽的遐想。当然，月圆当空时，也是人们合家团圆的好日子。期待下一个中秋快点来临吧!

“桃儿红，杏儿黄，五月初五是端阳，粽子香，包五粮，剥个粽子裹上糖，幸福生活万年长。”每当听到这首歌，我就会想起每年的端午节。

今天我要和家人们一起包粽子了!奶奶先给我做了一个示范，并知道我做了一个，一开始我觉得十分简单，可是，一离开奶奶的指导，我自己包时，手却怎么也不听使唤，总也包不好，里面糯米好似不听我话，一下子“跑”了出来，真是个不听话的小孩，后来我又认真学了一遍，首先把竹片浸泡在水里，再捞出来，然后把它折成一个三角，接着把糯米倒进去，最后把绳子扎紧，绕几个圈，最后打个活结就完成了。我做了三个，虽然不是很好看，但是是自己的劳动成果，还是觉得很开心，过了一会儿，一桌的菜都上了，粽子还没来，我焦急的等待着，终于一股清香扑鼻而来，粽子端上来了，我和弟弟争先恐后的抢着吃，真美味!果然自己通过努力得到的东西感觉就是不一样，我们开心的吃着端午节的团圆饭，一家人有说有笑，热热闹闹!

瞧!过端午节多好呀!不仅可以和家人们欢聚一堂，还有很多好吃的，尤其是美味的粽子，希望下一个端午节赶快到来!

盼星星、盼月亮，我终于盼到了清明节，今天，我们班要举行一次有趣的活动。斗蛋、吃蛋比赛。

大家先在小组里比斗蛋，我们都纷纷拿出自己的“宝贝蛋”，跃跃欲试，先是我和殷兆煜比，只见殷兆煜跳起来，一拍桌子，两眼一瞪，大叫，“谁敢跟老子比!”我赶紧拿起我的“宝贝蛋” 来应战。殷兆煜左手紧握鸡蛋，眼睛只直瞪着我，瞪的我心里直发毛，“啪”只听鸡蛋碰裂的声音，我连忙一看，哎!我的“宝贝蛋”被碰裂了， 殷兆煜则哈哈大笑，“耶!我赢了!”一转眼，殷兆煜便厉声大喝“有种得上来单挑，老子今天拼了!”只见石笑语忽地一声从座位上跳起来：“我来也!”又听“啪”地一声，殷兆煜一脸沮丧：“我的蛋宝宝，你怎么这么不争气呀!”石笑语一副胜利者的姿态，我和张疏桐则哈哈大笑。

该全班比了，我们小组的代表是石笑语，先是王一格和孙佳雨碰，只见孙佳雨双手紧握鸡蛋，目不转睛的盯着她的“宝贝蛋”王一格右手握着鸡蛋，一边喊“嘿”一边去碰孙佳雨的“宝贝蛋”，只见王一格一蹦三尺高，我们就知道王一格赢了，都为他高兴，尤其是，王一格组里的同学们都兴奋地说王一格的“宝贝蛋”好样的。

轮到石笑语和樊兆琰比，只听到石笑语说：“宝贝蛋，你要为我争气呀!”逗的同学们哈哈大笑，有的则使劲的鼓掌，樊兆琰用手捏着鸡蛋，石笑语用力一碰，哎，结果还是我们小组赢了。

最后，进行吃蛋比赛，一分钟的时间内，看谁吃多最多。“开始”，石笑语也顾不得她的“淑女”形象了，四口一个、四口一个，我简直看呆了，而我呢，一定要保护好我的淑女形象，先为自己倒了杯水，然后细嚼慢咽，一分钟到了，啊!竟然有人吃了三个!我晕。

这个难忘的清明节。

Different people have different career outlooks. Some people want to become

civil servants; some people hope to start their own business; some people dream

of being freelancers, and so on.

However, my ideal job is teaching. Firstly, I’m told that teachers have a

high income. With the high income, I can open a training school to help the

children in poor families with their education. Secondly, teachers always have

summer and winter holidays, thus I will have more free time to relax myself.

More importantly, teachers are angels to students, who can pass on the knowledge

to students as well as help them develop their hobbies and interests. I can’t

imagine how happy I will feel when I see my students become elites.

In order to be a qualified teacher, I should read more books to acquire

more knowledge, and train my patience and improve my communication and

handwriting abilities.

农历五月初五是端午节，又是端阳节，端午节是我国一个古老的节日，至今全国各地都保存着赛龙舟，包粽子及插艾叶等风俗习惯。

今天，我听见许多人都在说端午节的故事!“我告诉你们啊!屈原是楚国的大夫，还是个忠臣，但他受到奸臣的陷害，没能保卫自己的国家。为了表达自己的忠心，为了唤醒楚国百姓的爱国之心，屈原就跳进汩罗江以死抗争。传说楚国的老百姓担心江里的大鱼去吃屈原，为了把大鱼的嘴巴粘住，就包了许多大大的粽子吸引了大鱼吃粽子。以后，人们就把这一天定为端午节，以吃粽子的形式来纪念屈原!”当我正听得十分入神的时候，奶奶就在门口大声的喊叫道:“萱萱，牛牛，涵涵来吃粽子!”

今天，我们全家坐在一起吃粽子，也是为了纪念屈原，因为屈原是个好人，是个忠臣，是个伟大的爱国诗人，我要年年过端午节，牢牢记住屈原这个人，像他那样热爱我们伟大的祖国!

吃完了粽子，我们就在电视上看赛龙舟。一声声嘻嘻哈哈的笑脸度过了今天!

春 节 我最喜欢传统节日中的春节，因为它是中国民间最隆重的传统节日。在农历正月初一，又叫阴历年，俗称“过年”，“新年”。

每年过年，街上挂满了红红的灯笼，彩旗飘飘。商场更是人山人海，购买年货，可热闹了。

我每年都是会回爷爷奶奶家陪他们一起过年，妈妈和奶奶准备了丰盛的食物，听着外面有许多“砰、砰、砰”的鞭炮声，每个小朋友都穿上了漂亮的新衣服，大人们露出了满意的笑容。爸爸给我买了许多礼花和鞭炮，到了晚上，我就让爷爷陪我放鞭炮，那心情别提有多美！到了晚会开始时，妈妈他们在包饺子，妈妈说过年就要守岁不许睡觉，我则一边吃水果一边观看晚会，精彩的表演把我们逗得哈哈大笑，心想：要是天天都过年该多好啊！

中国的传统节日真是丰富多彩，它是中国的文化。我了解的传统节日还有：端午节、中秋节等。这些传统节日给我们带来了欢乐和幸福还有团圆，作为我们新一代要加强学习，大力弘扬中国的这些传统文化。

每年春节雷打不动的要看春晚、吃饺子和拜年。我最喜欢的就是一家人快快乐乐地坐在一起包饺子。

今年和平时的除夕夜一样熬夜看春晚，包饺子，每年都是奶奶煮好，我只有吃的份，今年我已经十一岁了，希望能学会包饺子。

妈妈怕我浪费面，所以把面和好让我做皮。饺子好吃的最重要的环节就是活馅儿，我先把白菜洗好，然后把白菜根切掉，再把发黄的叶子去掉，把白菜切成细丝，再从左向右反复剁成碎末。然后在肉馅里放入料酒、酱油、盐等调料，把鸡蛋炒熟准备和馅用。

妈妈切好面块，让我先把它们团成球，然后用手按成圆片。用擀面棍擀成圆片。刚开始我的饺子皮擀得一边厚一边薄，这样的饺子皮儿包不起来，我只好把它们团起来重新擀。没想到皮儿沾了面以后就团不起来了，手一松还掉到了地上。妈妈过来教我擀皮儿：先把饺子剂子按扁就好擀了，一手拿着皮儿，一手擀，像我这样一边转圈儿一边擀，不要太用力。我照着妈妈的样子试了试，还真容易多了，我高兴的说：我也会擀皮儿了，谢谢妈妈。不一会儿我擀了一小摞儿饺子皮，这是妈妈也把馅儿活好，可以正式的包饺子啦！我学着爸爸妈妈的样子，先在饺子皮中间放半勺馅儿，然后把两边的皮儿折在一起，用右手食指拖着皮儿，再把两层皮儿捏在一起就包好了。我发现爸爸妈妈包的饺子是立着的，而我包的饺子却是躺着的，这是为什么呢？说不定以后熟练了饺子就能立起来了。

今年春节我比往年都高兴，不仅因为我又长大了一岁，最重要的是家人吃到了我包的饺子，人人都夸我聪明能干，我无比自豪。

name is Edgar, a high school student. I am much honored to be here to give you a

speech. Also its a good chance for me to improve my English. I hope I can make

a good performance today. The topic of my speech is "After studying here".

Before I came here, I can never imagine that I can learn so much knowledge

about other countries, which cant be got from my books in school. Three months

ago, I took my first class. Unfortunately, I felt so embarrassed, because I even

cant speak any words, though I know I really love English.

After that, I took some of my tutors advice and previewed the lesson that

I’ll learn. What’s more, in every class, I JUST try my best to say as much as

possible. Now, I can only remember it’s a really hard time. What’s worse, I had

to go to my high school and went there at the same time.

After several weeks, I began to get used to the atmosphere in web .At least

Im not afraid to speak in front of my tutor and foreign teachers.

During web’s period, I found I had improved a lot, both physically and

mentally. For example, how to be a confident person, how to plan for my future.

And the most important is that I have learnt how to communicate with others,
