故宫不仅具有观赏性，还具备实用性。紫禁城的护城河——金水河，它不仅有防敌、消防的作用，还能泄洪。我最想看的是各宫殿须弥座上的昂头向外的“螭首”。在太和殿的广场上，我近距离观察了，螭首嘴中有一个小洞，可以喷出多余的积水。流到太和殿广场上的雨水，再根据地势变化，流向台基下的券洞，最终经券洞通过明沟暗渠，排到护城河里，这样一来故宫再也不怕大水了。但是为什么这些螭首上的小洞就这么大小，大点不是排水更快吗?我想再回过头去看看《宫?城》，能不能找到答案。

除了这些，在互动游戏中我回答了角楼的作用。我还看到了龙凤呈祥的交泰殿，最具东北特色的坤宁宫，具有十只脊兽的太和殿，在御花园留了影……还有许多各具特色的宫殿，我们没来得及细看，也给我这次故宫之行留下了小小的遗憾。

传说，很久以前有一只叫做？年？的怪兽。每到除夕夜都会到村庄里面去祸害百姓，搞的民不聊生。后来有一个老人来到这个小村庄，老人问农民：？听说每到除夕夜，你们这里就会有一只叫年的怪兽来捣乱，我是特地赶来处理这件事的。？人们不相信这位老人可以赶走年兽，所以没人理他。到了除夕夜，人们又像往年一样躲了起来，只有那位老人留在村庄里。年兽出来了，老爷爷拿出一副对联贴在村口，又点燃了一挂爆竹，年兽一看，吓得赶忙逃跑。原来，那位老爷爷是神仙，特地来赶跑年兽，保护百姓。另外，老爷爷临走前，还留下三件东西来对付年兽，分别是灯笼、爆竹、对联。从此这件事就被传开了，以后每到除夕夜，人们就在家门口贴上对联，燃放爆竹，从此以后年兽就再也不敢来了。

这个故事是不是很有意思？过年还可以吃年糕，吃饺子，放烟花，还有很多其他的习俗。

过年真是非常的有趣，家家户户都是喜气洋洋、开开心心、快快乐乐的。我很喜欢过年，因为有很多好吃的东西，还有新衣服穿。希望每个人都过一个开开心心的年。
