Since the childhood, I the most favorite thing to do is to study, I have

advocate people to travel often. Nowadays, as people’s living standard improve,

the number and frequency of people to travel is also increasing. Why? I think it

may because of the advantage of travel. First of all, travel can make people

relaxed. In today’s competitive society, everyone is under great stress. They

may be crazy if they are in that situation in the long term. Going travel,

leaving all the troubles behind for a period of time, people will have a good

rest and then fight again. Secondly, travel can broaden people’s vision. People

can learn more through what they see and hear. This knowledge is good for them.

Last but not least, travel can enlarge people’s social circle, because they can

make new friends on the way of their trip. In conclusion, travel has so many

advantages. It is no wonder that there is a World Tourism Day to encourage

everyone to go travel.

The usage of Internet becomes one of the most controversial topics in the

society. As a college student, I believe Internet is beneficial to me more than

the way it harms me. There are many advantages for using Internet.

First, I can best use my time to find information online instead of going

to different libraries. Also, the information can be dated back in decades ago.

It is very helpful to use those information as reference and historical proof.

In the library, it is hard to find so much "old" information. Another advantage

to use Internet is that I can stay home and have a lecture online. It is much

more convenience to me because I can stay warm to have class in the winter time

instead of spending two hours on the bus and physically attend class. In

addition, Internet provides me a better way to communicate with my friends and

professors. I can get response from my professor in a few minutes instead of

waiting outside of his door for hours. Some of my friends are living in a

foreign countries, I can simply just drop him an email whenever I can and get a

message from him very quick. It is much better than waiting for letters. Also,

the email will not lose while the letter might be losing in the process of

delivery.

However, there are also disadvantage of using Internet. For example, I

might spend too much time on the Internet to concentrate on my study. Also,

there is a chance that I am cheated because of the Internet purchasing. Last,

Internet has lots of information, both helpful and harmful. There might be too

much tempatation that I will access some of the harmful information I can on the

Internet.

Even though the usage of Internet has both positive and negative effect to

me, I still consider Internet is a symbol of technology development. I believe I

can use the Internet very well as long as I know how to control myself.

What is a good eating habit? In my opinion, a good eating habit is related

to eat healthily and regularly. To say it simply, Xiao Ming has breakfast about

7:30a.m. to 9:00a.m. every morning and lunch at noon. He also has dinner about

6:30p.m. to 7:30p.m in the evening. What he eats is healthy food, such as, meat,

vegetable, fruit, egg, milk and so on. He would not have some snacks for a meal.

He also would not eat and drink too much or eat nothing. Xiao Ming sets a good

example to have a good eating habit.

With the development of todays technology, education becomes more

important than before because people need to learn more to adapt the

society.Education enables people to understand the world better and have a good

job in the futrue.Moreover ,it also hao an impact on peoples behavior.

First of all, education improves peoples learning ability that makes them

know more about the world.Most things taught in schools are the basic skills or

means to further understsnding of our society .Only by learning these,can human

have an opportunity to study more and know more about the society .Secondly,

opportunities are often given to someone who is good educated .Employers tend to

believe that people have high education are intelligent and they can manage

their jod and adapt the working environment quickly.That is why the educated

people always get a good job. Thirdly, the more people learn the more modest and

In sum,education can turn people out with better learning skills,job

offering and good behavior,so I think education is important to people to

Nowadays, the problem of college students employment becoming more and

more serious. About a decade ago, university students could find satisfactory

and enviable jobs after graduation, while at current situation, about 30% of

graduate students can’t find a job but stay at home after graduation.

Employment difficulty of college students is due to the following reasons.

Among these, the increasing recruitment of colleges and universities plays a

vital role. In addition, many colleges and universities fail to adapt their

courses to the development of economy.

Considering such a rough job market, I think it is high time that we took

effective measures to solve the problem. Above all, college students should

competitive edge in society.

Moreover, colleges or universities should provide more trainings and

internship opportunities before the students enter the society. Besides, college

I enjoy singing very much. While singing, my heart as well as my body is

joyful. When Im happy, I often sing out to share my happiness with others. I

also sing out to pour out my bad feelings when Im upset.

I like pop music most, because I want to follow the trend. I prefer soft

music to rock music. Since we may be very tired after a long days work, we need

a rest very much. Perhaps soft music is the best recreation for us. My favorite

pop stars are JJ and Jay Chou. They always make a wonderful performance on the

stage. Their songs are so charming. I admire them very much.

In my spare time, I often sing a song to others. Everyone is so happy to be

my listener, because Im very brave and confident. Even though I couldnt be a

professional singer, I can still get a lot of good fun from singing. Because of

singing, my life becomes more colorful.

Many animals are in danger of dying out. As is shown in the chart, we can

see the number of animal species decreases faster and faster and this trend will

continue. From 1980 to 2010, at least 1 million animal species have disappeared.

Worse still, more and more wild animals are in great danger. It is not a piece

of sensational news; it is a fact, a harsh reality. Unfortunately, we may not

see these animals in the near future.

From the second picture, we can find some reasons. Why is the number of

animal species declining year by year? Apparently animals have become victims of

fashion industry. Animal skin has been used to make fashionable clothes and

these clothes sell at a high price. So some greedy people begin to kill animals

in a large quantity. This irresponsible behavior not only breaks the balance of

nature but also endangers the living environment of human beings.

As far as I am concerned, something must be done to stop this illegal

action. We believe "no buying, no killing". First, we must make concerning laws

to protect these animals in danger. Second, we must take some measures to

protect animals effectively. Animals are our friends and part of our

environment. Third, we should raise peoples awareness to protect animals and

our environment. In this way, we can build a harmonious society and ensure a

sustainable development.

As the Christmas Day is coming, our class decided to send some gifts to our

teachers, because we wanted to show our gratitude to them. At first, we had no

idea what to buy, because we wanted to do something special. So at last an idea

came to my mind. I advised to write a card, pasting some pictures of classmates

on it. Everybody agreed with me, so we spent a day to take some funny pictures,

and everybody wrote down their names on the card. When we sent this gift to the

teachers, they loved it so much. They were so impressed by this precious

surprise and would keep it forever.

Those who live in cities around the world are likely going to have similar

experiences about living and the associated challenges regardless of their

location on the globe. Most of these challenges revolve around stress which

studies have shown is a part of living. Regardless of what you do and your

profession and place stress is not avoidable but could be minimized. Those who

see stress as an enemy will probably live an irritable life which is quite

unnecessary.

How then do we cope with stress? I am going to give you tips that have

helped and are still helping me in coping with life in the city of Lagos

Nigeria, the most populous African city, where orientation of people is quite

different in many ways about stress and living with others.

一、指导思想。

这一学期，我继续担任初一(1，2)班的英语教学工作。这两个班级，每班各有学生三十五人左右，但是，基础却不尽人意。初一.1班的学生基础还可以，但是2班的基础却相差很远，学生基础参差不齐，两极分化严重，没有学习的兴趣。因此，教学工作开展的相当困难。

三、教材特点。

初中英语第一册(下)主要介绍了日常生活的交际用语以及一些西方国家的文化背景和风俗习惯，教材通俗易懂，旨在使初一级学生基本能用英语进行简单的交流。

四、教学目标。

力争在期末考试中优秀率打到30%左右，及格率达到60%左右。缩小学生间的差距。为下一学期的英语教育教学工作打下以良好的基础。

五、具体措施。

1、每天背诵课文中的对话。目的：要求学生背诵并默写，培养语感。

2、每天记5个生词，2个常用句子或习语。实施：利用“互测及教师抽查”及时检查，保证效果并坚持下去。

3、认真贯彻晨读制度：规定晨读内容，加强监督，保证晨读效果。

4、坚持日测、周测、月测的形成性评价制度：对英语学习实行量化制度，每日、每周、每月都要给学生检验自己努力成果的机会，让进步的同学体会到成就感，让落后的同学找出差距，感受压力。由此在班里形成浓厚的学习氛围，培养学生健康向上的人格和竞争意识。

5、对后进生进行专门辅导，布置单独的作业，让他们在小进步、小转变中体味学习的快乐，树立学习的自信，尽快成长起来。

6、关注学生的情感，营造宽松、民主、和谐的教学氛围。

7、实施"任务型"的教学途径，培养学生综合语言运用能力。

8、在教学中根据目标并结合教学内容，创造性地设计贴近学生实际的教学活动，吸引和组织他们积极参与。学生通过思考、调查、讨论、交流和合作等方式，学习和使用英语，完成学习任务。

9、加强对学生学习策略的指导，为他们终身学习奠定基础。

10、认真钻研教材，备好，上好每一节课，向45分钟要质量。

总之，新的学期已经开始了，我要以上一学期的基础为起点，树立信心，全身心的投入到新学期的教育教学工作中去。争取在新的一年里，把教育教学工作推向一新的层次。

Many years ago, I saw a science fiction film, which described a future

world. The way people lived was very different. They could drive cars in the

sky. Everything in the future world was so convenient. Since then, I was always

curious about how the future world would become. The fling cars seemed so

ridiculous for now, but thinking about more than 100 years ago, people never

thought about flying in the sky, but now we could take planes and traveled

around the world. Everything was possible. Whats more, the development of

technology is so fast that the world changes so much every ten years. Nowadays,

people can pay the bill online. No matter where they go, a cell phone can solve

most problems. I believe that future transportation will be much efficient and

will surprise us all.

The Dragon Boat Festival is a lunar (阴历)holiday, occurring (存正)on the fifth

day of the fifth lunar month (农历史五月第五天). Dragon Boat Festival is my favourite

festival.During the holiday of Dragon Boat Festival,I got together with my

family to have a big meal.We ofen ate the zongzi.It tasted very nice.And we saw

the Dragon Boat Races.I felt excited because the race was bustling with noise

and excitement.At Dragon Boat Festival,we also drank realgar wine.Some people

thought drank realgar wine can protect themselves from illness.Dragon Boat

Festival was interesting and I like it very much.

The Chinese Dragon Boat Festival is a significant (有意义的)holiday celebrated

(庆祝)in China, and the one with the longest history (历史最悠久). The Dragon Boat

Festival is celebrated by boat races (龙舟赛) in the shape of dragons. Competing

teams (竞争团队) row their boats forward to a drumbeat (击古)racing to reach the

finish end first.

The boat races during the Dragon Boat Festival are traditional customs

(传统习俗)to attempts to (试图)rescue (搭救) the patriotic poet (爱国诗人)Chu Yuan. Chu Yuan

drowned (溺死) on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month in 277 B.C. Chinese

citizens now throw bamboo leaves (竹叶) filled with cooked rice into the

water.

Therefore the fish could eat the rice rather than the hero poet. This later

on turned into the custom of eating tzungtzu and rice dumplings(棕子).

The celebrations is a time for protection (防护) from evil (邪恶) and disease

(疾病) for the rest of the year. It is done so by different practices such as

hanging healthy herbs on the front door, drinking nutritious concoctions (营养品),

and displaying (展示) portraits (画像) of evils nemesis(邪恶报应), Chung Kuei. If one

manages to (成功做...) stand (直立)an egg on its end at exactly 12:00 noon, the

following year will be a lucky one.

Today, people eat bamboo-wrapped steamed glutinous(粘的) rice dumplings

called zongzi (the food originally intended to feed the fish) and race dragon

boats in memory of Qus dramatic death.

Take a cup of tea and fetch a book, the house is full of Aton Johns

vicissitudes of singing, calm down and enjoy this rare leisure time.

Heavy heat from the fragrant tea, flicking my cheeks, itchy, but I cant

take care of it, because I was devoted to the book...

literature: literature is not the boring articles in "textbooks". Literature can

be funny and humorous, literature can be romantic and beautiful, and literature

can also be pretentious.

From the thin "good children" in childhood to the thick "junior literature

and art", from the interesting "Andersens fairy tale" to the endless aftertaste

of "The Dream of the Red Chamber", I also understand the value of various books.

After reading some campus novels, I feel that there is a lot of excitement.

After a few months, I basically have no impression. But classical literature can

Olympic Games hold every four years and I like to watch the matches so

much. People always pay much attention to the champions, while for me, the

inspiring players are easier to catch my attention. Though some players do not

get the prize, they deserve applause as the champions have. I remembered that in

the Beijing Olympics, in women’s 100-meter-race, a girl looked different from

other athletes, because she worn scarf and was from Afghanistan. She lagged much

behind other athletes, but she still got the intense applause. She showed to the

world that Afghan women could join this big event. Her insistence helped her to

come to the world stage.

Christmas Day is very popular around the world, when that day comes, we can

see the Christmas products sell everywhere, though Christmas Day is not

originating from China, in our country, more and more people spend that day. A

foreigner pointed out that Christmas meant to be grateful for them, while for

Chinese people, it was just a day for celebrating. To me, Christmas indeed means

a day to have fun.

When I was small, I did not have the concept of Christmas, because in my

mind, I only knew Chinese traditional festivals, I liked Spring Festival best, I

could get a lot of money from parents. When I went to high school, all of my

friends would talk about Christmas Day when the day was near, so I started to

know it. Almost every young people like Christmas, but if you ask them what the

meaning of the day, less of them can answer.

The meaning of Christmas Day is to remind people of Jesus’s birth, it is so

important for the western people, but for me, I only want to have fun, everyone

Dragon Boat Festival,often known as Tuen Ng Festival or Duan Wu Festival,is

a traditional Chinese festival held on the fifth day of the fifth month of the

Chinese calendar.Dragon Boat festival memorializes the Chinese poet Qu Yuan.He

committed suicide by drowning himself in a river because he was disgusted by the

corruption of the Chu government.People sat on dragon boats,and tried to scare

the fishes away by the thundering sound of drums.Hence,toady we sail the dragon

boats to celebrate this festival.Also,people eat zongzi (the food originally

intended to feed the fishes) in memory of Qus dramatic death.

Every year in October, our school will have the tradition to hold a sports

meeting. It is the biggest event of the year, so all the students will practise

very hard to win the biggest honor. Relay race is the most important match,

because it involves so many students to take part in, showing the unity of a

team. Last year, our class won the second place. We lagged behind the champion

just a little distance, so we hoped to defeated them this time and won the first

prize. We have practised very hard, and every student in the team wanted to make

the breakthrough. When the match finally began, we ran very fast and kept our

space. Even though other team tried to disturbed us, we focused our attention.

The moment when our team first crossed the line, we cheer and cried. We made

it.

At the beginning of the summer vacation, our family of three returned to my

hometown, Shehong.

Back in Shehong, we stayed at my grandmothers house. One Friday morning,

my brother and I made an appointment to catch cicadas in the bushes downstairs

at their house because they have a lot of cicadas there. Before night, I rushed

over and saw that my brother was already there waiting for me, with a prepared

pocket in his hand.

We walked cautiously into the bushes, for fear that our every move would

disturb the cicadas on the trees. At this time, the cicada was screaming

"knowing" and "knowing", as if they were holding a wonderful concert. I walked

very carefully under a big tree and found a cicada lying in the middle of the
