myhometownis beautiful place it stands near a wide river at the foot of low green hills. it has many tall buildings and wide streets. there are trees and flowers everywhere.

but it has not always been like that. in the old days, it was a sad dirty little town. landlords and merchants lived in the few good houses. for the working people there were only dark, unhealthy rooms in old buildings and huts in narrow muddy streets. nearly everyone was poor and many had no work.

everything has changed since liberation. the people, led by the party, have got rid of the mud and dirt. they have put up schools, theaters, shops and flats. they have an assembly hall and a hospital. along the river they have built offices, hotels and parks. a lot of factories have sprung up. on the river, streamers and boats come and go busily, day and night. they carry the products of our industries to all parts of the country.

i love my hometown, and i love its people. they also have changed. healthy and happy, they are going all out to build socialism.

huangmei is myhometown. it is in the east in hubei.it is east on the city named anqing of anhui.and it is south to the city named jiujiang of jiangxi. it is a great city in my heart.it has a long history for about 1800 years in china .example .the temple named sizu and wuzu were in huangmei for a long years-old.today,every year many visitor come different part to there.as a daughter from huangmei.i leaved it away for about seven years. but i miss it everyday .even in a lot of my dream in the night .i belive huangmei will be richer and richer .the new year 2009 will going .tonight i hope everything will be well in my new 26 years-old.all my friends will be well.i must work hard in the new year.i will be ain growth as my hometown .

Myhometownis a beautiful place with a pupulation of eight million.It

stands beside the Gulf of Bohai.

Tianjin has many high office and commercial buildings and wide tree-lined

streets.Several excellent world-famous institutions of higher learning are

located here,namely Nankai University and Tianjin University.As a most important

industrial center for North China,her hundreds of factories and joint ventures

with foreign companies manufacture a wide range of top-grade and high-tech

products or consumer goods.Many of these products have attained or surpassed

world levels.Markets and department stores,big or small,are well-stocked with

all kinds of goods,which are high in quality but low in price.

But in the old days,Tianjin used to be a poor and backward city

characteristic of semi-colonialism and semi-feudalism.The few rich persons lived

in luxury houses while the majority of the working people lived in old,shabby

huts or buildings on narrow and muddy streets.The working class led a very

miserable life.

Today people in Tianjin are going all out to build their city into a

beautiful and prosperous place to live in.

Myhometownlies on the Plain of North China. The famous Grand Canal of

China is to the east of our village. This is the place where my forefathers have

lived for generations. When I was a boy I often played with other children near

the bank of the canal. I watched the passing boats, and I wished to travel all

over the world.

There are about 800 people in our village. A pond, teeming with fish, lies

in front of the village. I used to swim there in summer and skate in winter. It

was in this pond that I spent the happiest days of my childhood.

To the north of our village are great fields. When spring comes, the crops

begin to grow, turning the fields green. When crops turn yellow in autumn, the

peasants start to harvest them.

The majority of the villagers have become much better off. About a quarter

of the households have bought television sets and tape recorders. A reading-room

and a library have been built. Every evening many young people go to the evening

school to learn science and read newspapers.

Two roads cross in front of our village. On summer evenings, people sit

under the trees enjoying the cool breeze. The houses in our village are well

laid out.

By the end of last year, 35 students in our village had graduated from

senior middle school, and 12 students were enrolled at colleges.

This is my hometown. I hope you will make a visit here one day.

My home is in a town. It lies in the east of Zhejiang near the East SeA.It

has a population of fifty thousand. Our town is in the south of our county.The

Ease Sea is to the east of the town. To the south is flat land. Mountains are on

the west. And a river runs from north to south in the west of my town.

The weather here is good. It is not so cold in winter or so hot in summer.

So the sea near my town is full of all sorts of fish. The fishermen of my home

town are all living a happy life.

Before I go to middle school, I live with my grandparents in thehometown.

It is the most beautiful place for me in the world. The environment is so clean.

There are so many trees around me and the water is so clean that I can even see

fish swimming. Sometimes I will go boating with my friends in the small river. I

enjoy the birds singing in the mountain. There will be some special festivals as

the traditional culture. Then people in the village will prepare some shows and

sometimes a huge parade will be held. The kids will join the parade happily. I

love my hometown and no matter where I go, it is always on my mind.
