从前，有个叫“祟”的怪兽，每到小孩睡觉的时候，它就会在孩子的头上一点，那小孩第二天就会变傻。有一次，有个孩子把包着红纸的钱，放在枕头边，把“祟”给吓跑了。因“祟”与“岁”是同音字，因此就有了“压岁钱”的说法。这就是“压岁钱”的来历。

大年三十的晚上，家家户户挂起了彩灯，准备迎接新一年的到来。爸爸还给我买了许多礼花，吃了年夜饭，我就会和爸爸一起去玩。开始点烟花了，只见爸爸把它小心翼翼地点燃，“扑”的一声，烟花飞上了天空。有的像绽开的花朵，有的像一颗颗流星雨从天而降，有的好像一朵含苞欲放的小花……真是姹紫嫣红，绚烂极了!
