吃完饭，外婆来分红包喽!我们家有一个小约定，小辈们拿到了奖状，不仅有红包，还会有其他奖励。今年，我被评上了“三好学生”。外婆就分给我一份红包，还送给我一只精美的文具盒。鼓励我在新的一年里，学习成绩更上一层楼。小孩子们都收到了红包，脸上露出了灿烂的笑容。

晚上八点整，我们全家准时打开了电视机，收看“春节联欢晚会”。那悠扬的歌声，使人陶醉其中;那优美的舞姿，使人赞不绝口;那滑稽有趣的笑话，使人捧腹大笑;那精彩的相声小品，使人开怀大笑……阵阵欢声笑语荡漾在客厅上空。

今年的春节，我过得十分有意义。我希望明年春节，我会过得更好!

On the thirty, is the new years day, everywhere permeated with a festive atmosphere. Everybody happily sit together to eat dinner, I love to eat fish balls on the table, my sister and brother Sweet and Sour Spare Ribs favorite, favorite braised fish in soy sauce. After the dinner, my brother and sister began to set off firecrackers and fireworks. My name is Li Hua. Now I am in Class 1 Grade 1. I come from Niuzhuang Town. I was born On September 12, 1997. I graduated from Niuzhuang Middle school. I’m an outgoing boy and have many hobbies. I’m fond of listening to music but I am not good at singing. In my spare time I like reading books, playing chess and hanging out with friends. My favourite subject is English. I think it is very interesting and useful. So I will try my best to learn it well. I hope I can get along well with other students and teachers. My dream is to become a doctor in the future. Where there is a will , there is a way. I think I will realize my dream by working hard.

Waking up on New Year, everybody dresses up. First they extend greetings to their parents. Then each child will get money as a New Year gift, wrapped up in red paper. People in northern China will eat jiaozi, or dumplings, for breakfast, as they think "jiaozi" in sound means "bidding farewell to the old and ushering in the new". Also, the shape of the dumpling is like gold ingot from ancient China. So people eat them and wish for money and treasure.

Southern Chinese eat niangao (New Year cake made of glutinous rice flour) on this occasion, because as a homophone, niangao means "higher and higher, one year after another." The first five days after the Spring Festival are a good time for relatives, friends, and classmates as well as colleagues to exchange greetings, gifts and chat leisurely.

China has 56 ethnic groups. Minorities celebrate their Spring Festival almost the same day as the Han people, and they have different customs.
