Halloween

Halloween is an autumn holiday that Americans celebrate every year. It means "holy evening," and it comes every October 31, the evening before All Saints Day. However, it is not really a church holiday, it is a holiday for children mainly.

每年万圣节前夕孩子们还戴上奇怪的面具，穿上吓人的服装。有些孩子把脸刷成怪物。然后他们拿着盒子或袋子挨家挨户串门。每来到一个新房子他们就说：“不款待就捣乱!给钱还是吃的!”大人们就会把用来招待的钱或糖放在他们的袋子里了。

不仅孩子，许多成年人也喜欢万圣节前夕和万圣节前夕晚会。因为这一天他们可以根据自己的想象把自己装扮成名流或幽灵。这会带给他们年轻的快感。

“桃儿红，杏儿黄，五月初五是端阳，粽子香，包五粮，剥个粽子裹上糖，幸福生活万年长。”每当听到这首歌，我就知道端午节要来了。

我在快到家的时候，闻到了一阵阵扑鼻粽叶的清香味。回到家的时候，我看见爸爸妈妈和奶奶在包粽子，因为粽子要包很多所以可以边包边煮，我看见他们正忙的时候，我去请教奶奶，我问：“奶奶，怎么包粽子?”奶奶说：“要不要我教你包?”我兴奋地说：“好呀好呀。”我们开始包粽子：首先洗糯米、绿豆、红豆和肉，放在一起虑干净水，然后放上酱油上色搅拌均匀，再拿两片洗好的绿油油的粽叶，包出一个窝，放入准备好的材料，先放入糯米和红绿豆再用筷子插几下让它更紧实，中间再放块肉，上面加上糯米材料再用筷子插几下，用绳子绑好，一个粽子便做好了。这样包的粽子才好吃呢。

我觉得这次的端午节最有意义：“它使我学会了包粽子。以前都是爸爸妈妈包好的，这次能吃到自己包的粽子，觉得它更好吃，更有味。

我们中华的传统节日有很多，我最喜欢的节日是春节。

神话传说，每当过年时有一个无恶不作的怪物叫“年”，每次都来破坏人类的村子。有一天，有一位白发苍苍的老人来到了人们的村子，他说道：“谁可以让我在他家住一夜，我就帮他赶‘年’。”说到这儿，一位年轻少年就把老人带到了家里。“年”来了，人们害怕极了!老人出来了，把一枚硬币使劲地摔在地上，“年”吓了一跳，然后人们都这样做，把“年”吓跑了，这就是鞭炮的由来。

过年时，家家户户都买上了炮，就连我家也买了。我们去了舅妈家，因为那里是农田，我左手拿着竹竿，右手拿着鞭炮，然后把鞭炮放在竹竿上面一点火，“噼里啪啦”的声音实在是太大了，似乎整个农村都听到了。这让我想起了宋代王安石写的一首《元日》：“爆竹声中一岁除，春风送暖入屠苏。千门万户曈曈日，总把新桃换旧符。”真有趣!

我舅妈把中央的烟花点燃了，只见一道金光冲进了黑漆漆的天空，家人们都赞美道：“真美啊!”每到晚上十二点，电视机里都会倒计时“十、九、八、七、六……”，然后说一声过年啦!这时外面就有很多烟花飞上了天空，就像无数位美丽的仙女下了凡间。

当然了，千家万户都不会忘一件事：发压岁钱。我今年表现很好，足足收到了3000元的压岁钱，他们都叫我小富婆。

这就是我最喜欢的节日，也是我国永不停息的节日，这个节日我过得非常开心，同时也成了小富婆。

Where There is Life, There is Music

What is music, no one can explain.

Just imagine for a moment that you are sitting in a magnificent concert

hall. The conductor waves his shiny baton with a graceful swing through the air.

A beautiful melody floats slowly around you

You sit quietly with your eyes shut, your heart open. The delicate vibratos

of the violins carry you to a mood of heavenly bliss. An airy solo of the flute

draws you to the imagination, the notes flow like some jumping swallows dancing

and singing calling for the coming of Spring.

I like music from my childhood. My father often says when I was a baby I

would never go to sleep without soft, beautiful lullabies crooning around my

ears . Now music is a part of my life. When I feel tired, disappointed or in low

spirits, I usually turn to music. Music, nothing but only music can have so

wonderful an effect on my heart, on my pond of feeling.

Music comes with us. Where there is life, there is music. Where there is

music, there is hope. It lies in everyday life, in everyone’s life, in

everything we see, in everything we hear-- in the rhythm of the sea, in the

whisper of a gentle wind, in the melody of a bird’s singing, in the harmony of

village chimes. You can hear music wherever you may go . A man who doesn’t know

music will lose half the world. A nation that pays little or no attention to

music will be a sad nation. A world without music would be the one for the dead

and devils.

So dear friends, let’s open our arms to embrace music and enjoy it

throughout our lives. Love music and love life.

从童年时代音乐就是我的挚爱。父亲经常说，我在襁褓中，没有温柔甜美的摇篮曲在耳边低吟，就难以入眠。现在音乐是我生活的一部分。每当我感到疲倦，失望或情绪不振时，我就求助于音乐。音乐，除了音乐，没有什么对我的身心和情感有如此奇妙的影响。

中秋节是我国四大传统节日之一。

中秋节回家团圆是必然的。原本热闹的城市变得安安静静的了，回乡下的路却堵得水泄不通，不知道过了多久终于到家了。人还没进门，一股香气，扑鼻而来，原来是外婆早已准备好一大桌丰盛的饭菜。

吃月饼是中秋节必不可少的环节。午饭后，我迫不及待地拿出月饼，月饼有多种口味，绿豆的、豆沙的、五仁的、蛋黄的……蛋黄月饼是我的最爱，作为吃货的我一眼便找到了两个蛋黄月饼。“咔嚓”一声包装袋撕开了，一阵阵香气钻入鼻孔。这个月饼是圆的，上面还印着“花猪月饼”四个字。我拿出刀子边切边咽口水。这个月饼肯定好吃，我把月饼分成八块，叉一块直往嘴里塞，好吃极了，香软可口，甜而不腻，真是人间美味呀！

赏月也是中秋节少不了的。晚上，又大又圆的月亮躺在夜空的怀抱中。相传，后裔有一包不死药放在嫦娥手中。蓬蒙知道了，向嫦娥要不死药，嫦娥知道自己不是蓬蒙的对手，便一口吞下不死药飞上了月球。此时，我仿佛看见嫦娥正低头找自己的丈夫呢！

一轮皎洁的明月，一个动人的传说，一口香甜的月饼，这就是中秋节。

I like the Chinese new year better than any other festival。 This is a time

especially for rest and joy。 I need not study。 I wear good clothes and eat good

food。 I have a good time from morning till night。 I am as happy as a king。

Dragon Boat Festival is a very grand festival in China. It is to

commemorate Qu Yuan, a great patriotic poet in the Warring States period. Now

Chinese people still continue this custom, even a legal festival.

农历五月初五就是端午节了，家家户户都要包粽子，还有有趣的划龙舟比赛呢!奶奶在家已经煮好了香喷喷的粽子，打开锅盖满屋都飘着粽子的清香，让我闻得口水直流个不停。我迫不及待地剥开粽子叶津津有味的吃了起来，真是回味无穷呀!

The Dragon Boat Festival is on the fifth day of may in the lunar calendar.

Every family needs to make zongzi. There are also interesting dragon boat races!

Grandma has cooked delicious zongzi at home. When she opened the pot cover, the

fragrance of zongzi was floating all over the house, making my mouth water

continuously. I cant wait to peel off the zongzi leaf and eat it with relish.

Its really memorable!

吃完粽子后，爸爸带我去看划龙舟比赛，这里人山人海，车水马龙的可热闹了!比赛开始了，各个队伍都蓄势待发，随着一阵枪声一条条龙舟飞快地划过水面，犹如一支支箭向前飞去。在场的观众们兴奋喊道着加油加油，在为参赛者加油鼓励，参赛者们听了心里充满了信心使劲地划桨，水花到处飞溅。各条龙舟你追我赶的，最后，落后的一号终于追上了遥遥领先的二号第一个冲过了终点，观众们不禁欢呼起来，到处都是一片欢乐的海洋。啊!这真是我最难忘的一天了。

After eating zongzi, my father took me to watch the dragon boat race. There

are lots of people here, and the traffic is very busy! The race started, and

every team is ready to go. With a burst of gunfire, each dragon boat flies

across the water like an arrow. The audience cheered and shouted, cheering and

encouraging for the contestants. The contestants listened with confidence and

strove hard to paddle, and the water splashed everywhere. Each dragon boat

chased after each other. At last, the laggard No. 1 finally caught up with the

far ahead No. 2. The audience couldnt help cheering. There was a sea of joy

everywhere. Ah! This is the most unforgettable day for me.

还有许许多多的传统节日也是和端午节一样有趣的，我们要一起保护中国的传统节日。

There are also many traditional festivals as interesting as Dragon Boat

Festival. We should protect Chinese traditional festivals together.
