Every year New Years day, the streets are full of red lanterns, families are labeled as the Spring Festival couplet, colorful flags fluttering. The mall is packed, buying necessities and lively.

Chinese New Year! Mother will prepare rich food, buy beautiful new clothes back to me. Dad bought fireworks and firecrackers, "bang, bang, bang." Firecrackers rung, and fireworks bursting in the air, colorful striped falling down, like a fairy scattering flowers, beautiful. Send red envelopes to our grandparents walked over and said: "happy New Year! Learning progress!" I took the red envelopes, and said, "thank you grandma and grandpa, I wish you longevity and health!" 我感兴趣的传统节日中最喜欢的是春节，因为它是中国民间最隆重的传统节日。

每年过年，街上挂满了红红的灯笼，家家户户都贴上了春联，彩旗飘飘。商场里是人山人海，购买年货，可热闹了。

过年啦!妈妈会准备丰富的食物，还给我买漂亮的新衣服。爸爸买了烟花和鞭炮，“砰，砰，砰。”鞭炮响起来了，烟花在空中绽开，五颜六色的彩条飘落下来，就像仙女散花，美极了。爷爷奶奶笑呵呵地发红包给我们，还说：“新年快乐!学习进步!”我接过红包，并说：“谢谢爷爷奶奶，祝你们健康长寿!”我、爸爸、妈妈、爷爷、奶奶进屋了，我们一边吃水果一边看联欢晚会，真开心!

The Spring Festival

The Spring Festival， Chinese New Year，is the most important festival for all of us. All family members get together on New YearEve to have a big meal.At the same time， everyone celebrates to each other.At about 12 oclock，some parents and children light crackers.The whole sky is lighted brightly. We may watch the fireworks excitedly.How busy it is!

On the first early moring of one year， many senior citizen get up early and they stick the reversed Fu or hang some couplets on the front door. Some houses windows are sticked on red paper cutlings.

The Chinese New Year lasts fifteen days. So during the fifteen days， we always visit our relatives from door to door. At that time， children are the happiest because they can get many red packets form their parents，grandparents， uncles， aunts and so on. The last day of the Chinese New Year is another festival. It names the Lantern Festival.

So the Chinese New Year comes to the end.

There are many festivals in a year, I love Children’s day, because on that

day, I can have many candies from school. In the school, i will play many games,

there will be no class on Children’s day, everybody will have fun. Children’s

day is my favorite day, the day belongs to me. I enjoy that day so much. My

parents will also celebrate it for me.

My Favourite Festival

There are many traditional festivals in China. My favourite festival is the Spring Festival. It is a very important festival for Chinese. Before the festival, people will go to visit their relatives and friends. They usually have a big dinner together and give best wishes to each other. Most children in China love this festival because they can play fireworks and lucky money from their parents and relatives.

The Mid-Autumn Festival The Mid-Autumn is a very important Chinese festival. It falls on the 15th day of August. A few days before the festival， everyone in the family will help to make the house clean and beautiful. Lanterns will be hung in front of the house.

On the evening there will be a big family dinner. People who work far away from their homes will try to come back for the union. After dinner， people will light the lanterns which are usually red and round. Children will play with their own toy lanterns happily.

At night the moon is usually round and bright. People can enjoy the moon while eating moon-cakes which are the special food for this festival. They can look back on the past and look forward to the future together. It is said that there was a dragon in the sky. The dragon wanted to swallow up the moon. To protect the frighten the dragon away.

中秋节是中国一个很重要的节日，在八月十五号。在节日来临的前几天，家庭中的每一个人都帮着打扫房子，把房子装扮得漂漂亮亮的，灯笼挂在屋前。

晚上有一顿美餐，离家在外工作的人也要回来团圆。晚饭后，人们点亮灯笼，一般是红色的圆灯笼。孩子们会高高兴兴地玩他们的玩具灯笼。

晚上月亮又圆又大，人们在赏月的同时吃着中秋节特别的食品——月饼。人们在一起回顾过去，展望未来。据说天上有一条龙，它要把月亮吞下去。为了保护月亮，孩子们要弄出很大的响动把龙吓跑。

It is known to all that China has the history of more than 5,000 years and

the culture influences generations. No matter where people live, they keep the

traditional festivals. Such as the people who live in Chinatown. Though some of

them have been immigrants, they still celebrate the traditional festivals. So in

every corner of Chinatown, the Chinese traditional features can be seen

everywhere. The preservation of the traditional culture is the key to help the

country live so long. After the long period of time, the essence of the culture

part have been inherited while the negative part has been removed. Many culture

even influences the foreign country, such as Confucius Institution, where

foreigners learn Chinese culture and mandarin. Though we are facing the impact

of Hollywood culture, the traditional festivals provides an important way to

save local culture.
