But one thing to be said, there is growing tension and suspense in the book, which is written and intended--if we remember for a moment and think （perhaps somewhat na-iv-ely）--for young adults and not those of us with seasoned palates. This is why the book deserves a high rating; to me--and to many individuals over the age of, say, 16--this isnt a great novel. But it is an excellent novel for the young adult crowd and anyone who wants a mystery/fantasy/pseudo-thriller with characters who are reaching the genesis of their development. We may not like the person Harry becomes or the browbeating attitude of Umbridge or Rons jealousy rearing its head at odd turns, but it is a realistic portrayal of adolescent confusion and angst, of the tendency for some individuals in todays society to repreinformation and punish anyone who tries to resist the "system."

我曾经见到了各种在追求梦想的人，他们有的因遭到别人的反对，坐在那里犹豫不决，有的因碰到自己无法做的事，坐在那垂头丧气;还有的人因自己的梦想太遥不可及，因此，放弃了自己的梦想。我既难过也很不解：“为什么他们要放弃自己的梦想呢?明明是努力就可以实现自己的梦想，从而走向成功的。但是，他们没有这么做，而是选择了逃避呢?”

古人有句话说：“有付出不一定有回报，但不付出就一定没有回报”。不管最后有没有得到相应的回报，但我相信：在坚守梦想的路途中，一定会有令我们意想不到的收获。当然，每一个人都有生活在这个世界上的价值，都有一些未圆的梦，为梦而追逐，为梦而奋斗。追求梦想是每个人的权利，追求的过程也是享受的过程。到梦想变成现实的那一刻，你会感到无比喜悦，自豪。

由此可见，梦想是多么重要。不过，在实现梦想的过程中，不要被问题牵着鼻子走，而是朝着梦想前进，让梦想为自己导航。有时实现梦想的最大障碍往往是自己。爱拼才会赢，只要朝着一个目标奋斗不懈最后的灿烂将会属于你。

书中，海明威塑造了一个著名的硬汉形象圣地亚哥。这位硬汉老人是一位资深的老渔民，他独自出海捕鱼，连续84日未归。在这84天中，老人历经艰险与一条大马林鱼搏斗，在成功捕获马林鱼后又面临一群鲨鱼的攻击，老人一直搏斗到马林鱼只剩下一副骨架，虽然最终一无所获，老人依然坚定高傲的归来

老人失败了吗?没有，因为他没有放弃，永不言败!生活中，失败和成功随处可见，但是面对成功和失败，尤其是失败时的态度却不相同。许多人往往在失败面前不堪一击，轻言放弃，素不知失败乃成功之母。

就像澳大利亚著名演说家尼克。胡哲一样，他虽然天生是一个“没有四肢的生命”的人，上学时其他同学可以正常写字画画，他只能用两个脚趾头夹住笔写写画画，他也一次次的哭泣、不愿意上学，但在家人的支持下和他自己的努力下，经历了一次次的失败，他终于可以用两个脚趾头实现和其他同学一样的正常学习，同样他也克服了生活中的诸多不便，最终成为了一个全世著名的励志演说家，他用自己的亲身经历鼓舞了很多国家许许多多追逐梦想的人，树立从失败中战胜自我的信心和勇气，最终走向各自的成功。

掩上书本，我久久不能平静，想起了自己平时在困难面前的表现。记得刚开始上篮球训练课时，教练要求我们练习三步上篮，我练了几次总是不对，看着教练严厉的眼神和其他学员优异的表现，我开始慌乱，心里打起了了小九九：我是不是本身就比别人差啦?我是不是就是练不好了?我一边想一边拍着篮球，越想越生气，愤怒地把篮球扔到一边。篮球咕蹦蹦跳跳噜噜滚到墙角，砰砰的声音回荡在球馆，像是在嘲笑我：范书泽、你是个失败者，你这么容易就放弃，你是一个懦夫眼泪开始在我的眼眶内打转，我忍不住就蹲在了地上抽泣，任由教练和同学安慰我，鼓励我，我也不作回答，就这样结束了我那天的训练。

《老人与海》这本书主要讲了古巴老渔夫桑提亚歌在连续八十四天没捕鱼的情况下，终于独自钓上了一条巨大的马林鱼，这条鱼拖着船，在海上走了三天三夜才停下来，老人把它杀死绑在船的一边，但在归程中不幸遭到鲨鱼袭击，最后只剩下鱼头、鱼尾和脊骨。

桑提亚歌年轻时非常出色，强壮有力，但在晚年，妻子去世后，独自住在海边简陋的茅棚里。他的晚年生活即使痛苦、悲惨，但他执着追求的精神又让他充满活力。他每天起早贪黑的去捕鱼，不为别的，只想在无趣、凄凉的晚年中增添一丝乐趣罢了。“一个人生来并不是要给打败的，你尽可以消灭他，可就是打不败他。”这是因为桑提亚歌生活的信念，正是因为有了这种信念与执着的追求，桑提亚歌才能在一次次失败和命运的打击中站起来，重新战斗！

无独有偶。著名的居里夫人，为了实现找到镭的理想，在数千吨沥青中寻找镭的踪影，不分昼夜的工作，他是如何坚持下来的呢？因为她执着的追求梦想，追求使她在困难面前不低头，终于在不知都少个昼夜中，她终于炼出了一克的纯净镭，使人类在科技发展史上又进了一步。

执着追求是一种精神，更是一种意志，它可以使我们在人生的道路上更踏实的走下去！

书中最让我钦佩的人物形象是瑞宣的妻子韵梅，和诗人钱默吟。韵梅即会持家又懂规矩，还为祁老太爷生了一双重孙，深得老太爷的喜欢，婆婆又病弱，韵梅理所当然的担起了一家老小的吃喝穿戴。她是天生的好脾气，似乎是与生俱来的家庭责任感任感，促使她劳任怨的照顾着一家人的日常生活，极尽所能的让全家人过得顺心，她和婆婆一样，本分的做着女人，不参与该属于男人的事，但家中每一个人的一举一动都牵着她们的心。北平沦陷，抗日战争爆发，动荡的社会，生活的贫困和折磨，让一个纯粹的家庭妇女走出了家庭，她的心里不再只有小家，而是国家。在韵梅的身上，我看到了北平乃至整个中国的普通女人，由只会围着锅台转，只会顾及一家老小的生活，而变得更具责任感，这个责任感是对国家的。她们虽然不能象男人一样亲临战地，但她们的勇敢和坚定，是对家人和亲人的最大的理解和支持。

活在自己世界里的钱默吟，与世无争，每天就是浇花，看书，画画，吟诗。默吟二字是他本来性格的最真写照。在胡同里的人看来，钱诗人有些清高和高深莫测。在沉默中爆发的钱诗人，在不为人知的角落里，积极做着抗日的工作，他劝说年轻人离开北平，参与到抗战的队伍中，他的行动感染着更多的人。钱诗人的人物形象，代表了千千万万知识分子，由只喜自己闲情逸志，到主动参与抗日，可以说由被动变为主动的转型。大多数北平人，大多数中国人，正是经历了惶惑，偷生，最后觉醒。觉醒后的中国，是任何力量也无法抵挡的猛狮，北平那个年代是，现在更是。

《四世同堂》的最后，是一个喜庆的场面，抗日战争胜利了，小羊圈胡同的人欢迎从狱中出来的钱诗人。钱诗人“外表上病没有什么英雄气概，浑身满布战争的创伤。”是的，抗日战争的胜利依靠人民群众，无论哪朝哪代，人民群众都是社会的主体力量。

不能不提姥爷，不能不提姥爷的四世同堂。

18岁参加革命的姥爷，担任过地下党艰苦危险的工作，解放后领导职务，时被拉上台，后又恢复领导职务，离休后安享平淡的日子。姥爷的前半生，可谓起伏跌宕，一波三折。总想有机会听听姥爷讲讲他在战争时期的经历，可惜一直不能有大段的时间呆在姥爷身边。总是在每次到姥爷家时，深深的感受着他的宁静和幸福，四世同堂带来的幸福。并非有意将姥爷的四世同堂和老舍先生笔下的四世同堂相比，但确是在眼前的，时代不同，四世同堂的老人享受的日子也不同。每一个人的生活，原本都是和国家相连的。

看到这里，我不禁流泪了，小阿廖沙该多么痛苦，没有自己的家，没有快乐，没有爱，高尔基该怎么活下去啊?幸好看到后面，我得知阿廖沙有个善良的外祖母，是她让小阿廖沙知道了什么是善良，让他有了生活的勇气和信心。
