The story of this colorful festival concerns a famous Chinese scholar-statesman(政治家) named Chu Yuan(屈原) who, some three centuries before the birth of Christ, served the King of Chu(楚怀王)during the Warring States period. As a loyal minister(大臣), Chu Yuan at first enjoyed the full confidence and respect of his sovereign(君主). Eventually, through the intrigues of his rivals, he was discredited(不足信的, 不名誉的).

Chu Yuan was never able to regain(恢复) the emperors favor and on the fifth day of the fifth moon in the year 295 B.C.(Before Christ), at the age of 37, Chu Yuan clasped a stone to his chest and plunged into the Milo River(汨罗江) in the Hunan Province(湖南省).

Respecting the minister as an upright(正直的) and honest man, the people who lived in the area jumped into their boats and rushed out in a vain search for him. This unsuccessful rescue attempt is a part of what the Dragon Boat Festival commemorates every year.

My favoruite festival is Mid-Autumn Festival. On that day, I can get moon cakes, fruit and many other delicious foods. The moon cakes are round like the moon. They are delicious. "Be a man and rely on yourself," she nudged me. The next time we met, she brought me a simplified version of Robinson Crusoe and recommended that I finish reading it in a week and write a book report. Under her consistent and patient guidance, not only has my English been greatly improved, but my confidence and courage enhanced considerably.

"Rely on yourself and be a man," Ms. Zhangs inspiring words have been echoing in my mind. I will work harder and try my utmost to lay a solid foundation for my future career. Only by so doing can I repay Ms. Zhangs kindness and live up to her expectations of me, that is, to become a useful person and contribute to society.

一年中有许多节日，比如中秋节、元旦节、清明节、儿童节、万圣节、春节、植树节……而我却想设立一个“禁酒节”。

我为什么要设立这个节日呢？因为有一次妈妈出去吃饭，很晚才回家，回来的时候扶着墙走路，不知喝了多少酒，任凭爸爸的责骂与叫嚷，她只是捂着嘴，疯狂地冲向卫生间，呕吐声夹杂着刺鼻的味道充斥着整个屋子，这一幕让我看在眼里，疼在心里。要知道喝酒会引发肝硬化、胃溃疡及肾心血管病变，严重还会导致死亡的。所以我想设立这个节日。

如果设立了“禁酒节”，在这一天，所有酒楼、超市不准卖酒，均用茶水或者饮料代替。所有人不能喝酒，不能讨论与酒有关的事情，大街小巷都贴上了禁酒标语，切实做到禁酒深入人心。

“禁酒节”这天上午人们都来到了广场上，纷纷拿出家里各种各样的酒，啤酒、白酒、红酒、梅子酒、葡萄酒……疯狂地往地上“砰、砰、砰”地砸去，把酒统统倒掉，以此来庆祝节日的到来。

下午人们再次聚集到广场上听禁酒宣传讲座。主持人滔滔不绝地讲述着喝酒的坏处、喝酒的危害、酒后驾驶的不安全，可谓是“司机一滴酒，亲人两行泪。”人们惊叹不已，掌声、呐喊声此起彼伏。

从此往后，有很少的人喝酒。

真希望“禁酒节”能早点到来，让每个家庭都平安起来，让每个人都健康起来！（指导老师：许弘斌）

My favorite festival is Spring festival,It is inportant holiday in every year .

First, it is a good chance to rest after a year s hard work . It is a great pleasure to prepare for the festval ,by shopping and cleaning up.And Spring Festival can bring many friend people. And we can stay at together, watching TV , playing the cards and singing.

Secondly, the celebration of the Spring Festival highlights traditional Chinese culture. People write in gold on red paper expressing good wishes around the doorframe and set off firecrackers.

Finally ,Spring Festival is stand for a begin in next year ,we should have a good wises ,and believe these can bring good fortune .

In a word,I l like the Spring Festival!

我最喜欢的节日是春节,它是在每年重要的节日。

首先,它是一个很好的休息机会经过一年的辛勤工作。这是一个很大的乐趣准备festval,购物和清理。春节可以让很多朋友的人。我们可以呆在一起,看电视,玩卡片和唱歌。

其次,春节的庆祝活动突出了中国传统文化。人们写在红纸黄金表达良好祝愿在门框和放鞭炮。

最后,春节是站在明年开始,我们应该有一个很好的点子,相信这些可以带来好运。

总之,我我喜欢春节!

今天是全民运动节，全海门的居民都动了起来。

我们小区也不例外，一时间热闹非凡，各种各样的活动同时举行。老太太们去跳广场舞，老爷爷们去打太极，青年们去跑步……马路上车辆不见了，变成了跑步的人群。我们先来看障碍跑。所谓障碍跑，就是让选手们在跑步的过程中通过一些提前设置好的障碍，比如假山、泥潭……看，选手们排成一条长龙，鱼贯向山上跑去，爬上山顶，再下山，他们一个紧跟着一个，都惟恐掉队，走出“山区”就到了泥潭，有些人因为过于小心，放慢速度，反倒陷入了泥潭，另外一些人，吸取前人的教训，一到泥潭就加快速度，进行冲刺，很快就冲出了泥潭，到达了终点。

再来看攀岩，人们身系安全绳索，抓着岩壁上突出的小石块往上爬。有人一不留神没抓稳，哧溜一下，就滑了下去，只好一脸遗憾；有些人恐高，爬了一半便脸色苍白，在空中尖叫起来：“太高啦，太高啦！”紧接着，手一软，也掉了下去；还有些身型胖的人，才爬了一丁点，就红着脸“哼哧哼哧”喘不过气来，手一摊，栽了下去……最后剩下的一部分人，无疑是最灵活勇敢的，他们像猴子一样，“嗖嗖嗖”地往上直窜，很快就到达了终点，顺着滑梯滑下去，获得了最后的胜利。

不知不觉，运动节在大家的欢笑声中落下了帷幕。生命在于运动，我觉得这样的节日非常有意义，真期待这样的节日早点到来。
