One day she asked me what I wanted to be in the future. I said nothing. That was the only moment I saw sadness slipped over her face. Then she gave me a smile and told me that I would be the best if I wanted to. “There is no difficulties if you put your heart into something.” She said to me. She also changed my bad temper. When I was wildly complaining I was not fairly treated in the basketball competition to the referee, she would pull me away in case I would be punished by the authority. Jane also forgave my carelessness. She did not blame me that I often remembered her birthday three or more days later and even I got her things lost due to my inattention.

I was told that once people become friends they will get benefits from each other all life along. I am lucky to be bestowed with Jack, Jane and my mother. And they are the persons whom I always can count on in my life.

暑假，我们一家人去了湖北省旅游，那里景色秀丽，魅力无穷，印象最深的要算是神农架景区。因为那是一个充满原始风味的大生态园。

在我来到神农架的这几天，天公不作美，一直下着雨，但是也带来了难得的清凉，所以一点不影响我游玩的心情。我们到达的第一个景点是燕子洞，燕子洞是个大溶洞，因洞里长住着成千上万只燕子而得名燕子洞。洞里一片膝黑，进去必需带上手电筒，透过手电筒的灯光就可以看到许多燕子在洞顶飞来飞去。

下个景点是野马河，野马河水流很急很大，就像千万匹野马浩浩荡荡奔驰而来，河中矗立着一块块巨大的岩石，岩石的颜色竟然是白色的，原来是长年累月的河水冲洗的结果。

神农架真是神，我们在路上随便就能看到一些乌鸦，松鼠，以及一些不知名的小动物。我还在金猴岭景区见到了几只野生金丝猴，这野生金丝猴与动物园里金丝猴不一样，野生的毛发有点偏暗，而动物园里金丝猴却是金灿灿的。

接下来的几天我们又游玩了另外几处的景点，一样感受精彩。此次神农架之行真的让我开阔了眼界，增长了知识，真是不虚此行啊!

暑假里，爸爸妈妈带我去四川乐山看大佛。

乐山大佛雕凿在岷江，青衣江，大渡河汇流处的崖壁上，又名凌云大佛，是唐代摩岩造像中的艺术精品之一，是世界上最大的石刻弥勒佛坐像。大佛开凿于唐玄宗开元初年(公元713年)，是海通和尚为减缓水势，普渡众生而发起，招集人力、物力修凿的。海通死后，他的弟子接手修筑，直至唐德宗贞元19年(公元803年)完工，历时90年。被诗人誉为“山是一尊佛，佛是一座山”。

看大佛要走九曲栈道，我们走到了栈道前的一块空地上，那里早已人山人海，排队排了一圈又一圈，终于到我们了。我们来到九曲栈道，那栈道，真窄啊!窄的只能容下一个人。那栈道真弯啊!弯的头都要绕晕了。终于走到了山脚下，我抬头一望，那大佛真高啊!听导游说，它高71米，足足有24层楼那么高，就连一只耳朵就有7米多长呢!

乐山大佛真不愧是全世界最大的石刻大佛，这是一个多么伟大神圣的艺术精品啊!

The knowledge we gain from books and formal education enables us to learn about things that we have no opportunity to experience in our daily life. First of all, we can study all the places in the world and learn from people we will never meet in our lifetime, just by reading about them in books. Second, we can also develop our analytical skills and learn how to view and interpret the world around us in different ways. Last but not least, we can shuttle between the past and the future by reading books. In this way, we wont repeat the mistakes of others.

Practice, on the other hand, offers us more useful knowledge. In fact, as we all know failure is the mother of success. Moreover, if one wants to make new advances, it is necessary to act. Finally, one can apply the skills and insights gained through the study of books to practical experience, making an already meaningful experience more meaningful.

It is widely noted that lots of traditional culture is disappearing along

with the development of technology. Many ancient architectures and traditional

ways of living have been deserted. It seems that the traditional culture and

craftsmanship will be replaced in this modern era.

The following reasons can account for the above phenomenon. Firstly,

traditional technologies are always considered ineffective while the new

sciences are always highly efficient, because modern science and technology

facilitate both our daily and academic life a lot, with which we can save much

money and time. Secondly, it is costly to protect the traditional culture,

especially the maintenance and repair of the historical buildings.

In my opinion, although traditional culture is an ancient heritage, it

couldnt keep pace with the development of society. It is the tide of history

that the traditional culture and technology will no doubt be eliminated in the

end.

Spring festival is the most important festival in China. During Spring festival, people visit their relatives, sending their best wishes for a new year. Children are the happiest in spring festival. They will receive red envelopes that contain money as new year presents. They can also play crackers and fireworks. Whats more, they are given a lot of freedom, which they have dreammed of for a whole year. During Spring festival, there will be plenty of foods. Thats why many people put on "holiday weight" after Spring festival. When it comes to food, there are many festival specialties. The world famous Jiaozi and Chunjuan(spring roll) have even been accepted by foreigners as fast foods. Spring festival usually comes in Feburary, sometimes earlier. Its a festival full of hope and good wishes. Its a symbol of Chinese culture.

春节是中国最重要的节日。春节里，人们走亲访友，把新年的祝福送给彼此。孩子们在春节期间是最高兴的了。他们通常都会接到装着钱的红包作为新年礼物。他们还可以玩烟花爆竹。他们甚至会得到他们梦想了一整年的自由。春节期间，到处都是各种各样的食物。这就是为什么很多人在春节过后都得上“假期综合症”的原因了。说道食物，有很多带有节日特色的东西。闻名世界的饺子和春卷现在也被外国人作为速食而广泛接受。春节通常都在二月，有时候也会早点儿。春节是一个充满了美好祝愿和愿望的节日。它是中国文化的象征。

如何实现团队工作How to Achieve Team Work

"Experience is the best teacher," people say. Indeed, the most important, and sometimes the hardest, lessons we learn in life come from our participation in situations.

For my part, you cant learn everything from a book. And only practice makes you a successful person.

To begin with, first-hand experience is important for a child. When we were children, we learned the fundamental lessons of life solely from experience.

That is to say, parents teach us by experience such as how to walk steadily, how to cope with the adults, and so on and so forth. Secondly, first-hand experience is also important for an adolescent.

At school, we do not learn everything from books, in that few books can teach us successfully how to meet new people and make more friends.

Finally, as we leave adolescence behind and enter adult life, no book can teach us how to fall in love and get married. But experiencing our own triumphs and disasters is really the only way to learn how to live a successful life.

To conclude, knowledge gained both from experience and from books have their respective roles to play in our life.

However, in my view, I think the former one is more important than the latter one.

The most important lessons cant be taught; they have to be experienced.
