The joyous Mid-Autumn Festival was celebrated on the fifteenth day of the

eighth moon, around the time of the autumn equinox(秋分). Many referred to it

simply as the "Fifteenth of the Eighth Moon".

This day was also considered as a harvest festival since fruits, vegetables

As time goes by, there are various kinds of moon cakes, but they are much more expensive than before. I like mid-autumn festival because my families will get together and have a big dinner on that day.

一天，后羿上山捕猎，碰上一位道士，说：“年轻人，你拯救了苍生，我给你一瓶长生不老和成仙的灵药。”后羿想到家里还有一位贤良淑德的好妻子，就拿回家给妻子嫦娥保管。

后羿的好哥们李鑫一心想成仙。在一个后羿不在家的晚上，李鑫跑去跟嫦娥要那瓶灵药。在逼不得已的情况下，嫦娥喝下了那瓶灵药。一眨眼，嫦娥便轻飘飘地从窗户口那儿飞走了。正巧，后羿捕猎回来了。他弄清事实，刚想要把嫦娥拉回来，可后羿越往前走，嫦娥越往高处飞。最后嫦娥飞得看不见了。后羿伤心极了，他把嫦娥喜欢吃的全摆在桌上，等着嫦娥回来。其他乡亲们知道此事，也摆了嫦娥喜欢的果子。

而嫦娥成仙那天，正好是农历八月十五日，月亮非常圆。第二年的农历八月十五日，月亮也很圆，后羿和乡亲们怀念善良的嫦娥，都在月亮下摆上水果祭月。以后年年都这样，代代传到今天。因为八月十五常常是秋季最中间的一天，所以人们把这一天定为中秋节。

中国有许多传统节日，有中秋节、春节、清明节、端午节、元宵节等，我最喜欢的就是中秋节了。

一提起中秋节我就会想起大诗人李白写的《静夜思》：

床前明月光，

疑是地上霜。

举头望明月，

低头思故乡。

这首诗写得真是妙不可言!在中秋节这一天，家家都会赏月，在赏月的时候，妈妈对我说：““月饼”一词，最早见于南宋吴自牡的《梦梁录》中，那时，它也只是象菱花饼一样的饼形食品。后来人们逐渐把中秋节赏月和品尝月饼结合在一起，与一家人团圆的象征”我看着天上的明月，觉得真像白玉盘啊。吃月饼了!月饼有许多图案，有的是一条龙跃出水面，有的是一朵月季花，还有的是一些人在吃月饼。这些月饼的图案真是各种各样，真有趣啊!

中秋节真是一个习俗多样的节日!
