中秋节的传统食品是月饼,月饼是圆形的,象征团圆,反映了人们幸福的愿望,家人团聚。中秋节吃月饼的据说在元朝开始,当时,朱元璋领导汉族人民反抗元朝暴政,约定在8月15日这一天起义,月饼作为礼物的手段相互夹的注意月饼传递消息。中秋节吃月饼的习俗在民间传播。

之后,朱元璋终于推翻了元朝,成为明朝第一个皇帝,虽然之后,清朝人负责中国,但人们仍然庆祝这个符号推翻外星种族统治的节日。

If I am able to create a holiday, it would be the "Food and Fun Day". Think about it, with all the school homework and exams; it would be really nice to take a break from all the studies and just relax. Also I think everyone would enjoy the great food and lots of fun. Its just like a big party where everyone is invited. I would like the "Food and Fun Day" be set during the middle of the school year, where everyone can relax from their studies for a day. On that day, everyone will bring food and drinks to school and share what they brought with friends, students, and teachers. There will also be games and winners gets great prizes. The 9th day of the 9th lunar month is the traditional Chongyang Festival, or Double Ninth Festival. It usually falls in October in the Gregorian calendar. In an ancient and mysterious book Yi Jing, or The Book of Changes, number 6 was thought to be of Yin character, meaning feminine or negative, while number 9 was thought to be Yang, meaning masculine or positive. So the number nine in both month and day create the Double Ninth Festival, or Chongyang Festival. Chong in Chinese means double. Also, as double ninth was pronounced the same as the word to signify forever, both are Jiu Jiu, the Chinese ancestors considered it an auspicious day worth celebration. That‘s why ancient Chinese began to celebrate this festival long time ago.

The custom of ascending a height to avoid epidemics was passed down from long time ago. Therefore, the Double Ninth Festival is also called Height Ascending Festival. The height people will reach is usually a mountain or a tower. Ancient literary figures have left many poems depicting the activity. Even today, people still swarm to famous or little known mountains on this day.

On this day, people will eat Double Ninth Gao (or Cake). In Chinese, gao (cake) has the same pronunciation with gao (height). People do so just to hope progress in everything they are engaged in. There is no fixed ways for the Double Ninth Cake, but super cakes will have as many as nine layers, looking like a tower.

The Double Ninth Festival is also a time when chrysanthemum blooms. China boasts diversified species of chrysanthemum and people have loved them since ancient times. So enjoying the flourishing chrysanthemum also becomes a key activity on this festival. Also, people will drink chrysanthemum wine. Women used to stick such a flower into their hair or hang its branches on windows or doors to avoid evilness.

In 1989, the Chinese government decided the Double Ninth Festival as Seniors‘ Day. Since then, all government units, organizations and streets communities will organize an autumn trip each year for those who have retired from their posts. At the waterside or on the mountains, the seniors will find themselves merged into nature. Younger generations will bring elder ones to suburban areas or send gifts to them on this day.

到了鸠兹古镇，放眼望去，全是各式各样的菊花，扰得我眼花缭乱。

一入口，我被惊呆了，一个巨大的钟被许多娇艳欲滴的菊花簇拥着，十分壮观。看了介绍，我了解到花钟是芜湖中山路步行街的标志性造型之一。如果说有一条路，是一个城市的表白和心跳，是一根城市驶向未来的航船，那么在芜湖，这条路就是中山路步行街，而花钟就是它的“心跳”。

顺着青石板铺成的小道，我看见了用菊花索绕成的月亮，嫦娥和玉兔。月亮像银色的玉盘，闪着银光。嫦娥的大眼睛闪烁着闪亮的光芒，丝带犹如翅膀一样漂浮在月光下。玉兔睁着她的小黑豆眼，拿着月饼，砸吧砸吧地吃起来!

接着我们一家人走进了花棚，淡雅清香、千姿百态的菊花映入我的眼帘……

这些菊花造型各异，真像理发师给我们理的头发啊!我的眼睛被一朵菊花吸引过去，它像一扇艳丽动人的凤尾，一条给舞台灯光照得熠熠发光的长裙，一道一泻千里的瀑布……它是由黄色、绿色和紫色组成，头顶伞状花冠，我给它取了个好听的名字：“仙紫绿凤”。我又看到了一朵昂首挺胸的黄菊花，豆芽似的花瓣紧紧簇拥一起，远远望去像一个小绒球儿，我给它取了个可爱的名字：“绒黄球灿”。除了我说到的这些菊花，还有别的菊花也被我取了名字，比如“黄卷紫矛”，“光彩照人”，“橘绣花团”，“绚粉丽艳”，“黄蕊白瓣”。

这个中秋节让我认识了许多菊花，它们流光溢彩，充满了无穷的韧性，更是朵朵奇妙，淡雅清新，我喜欢今年的中秋!

吃月饼是中秋节必不可少的环节。午饭后，我迫不及待地拿出月饼，月饼有多种口味，绿豆的、豆沙的、五仁的、蛋黄的……蛋黄月饼是我的最爱，作为吃货的我一眼便找到了两个蛋黄月饼。“咔嚓”一声包装袋撕开了，一阵阵香气钻入鼻孔。这个月饼是圆的，上面还印着“花猪月饼”四个字。我拿出刀子边切边咽口水。这个月饼肯定好吃，我把月饼分成八块，叉一块直往嘴里塞，好吃极了，香软可口，甜而不腻，真是人间美味呀！

赏月也是中秋节少不了的。晚上，又大又圆的月亮躺在夜空的怀抱中。相传，后裔有一包不死药放在嫦娥手中。蓬蒙知道了，向嫦娥要不死药，嫦娥知道自己不是蓬蒙的对手，便一口吞下不死药飞上了月球。此时，我仿佛看见嫦娥正低头找自己的丈夫呢！

一轮皎洁的明月，一个动人的传说，一口香甜的月饼，这就是中秋节。
