the great atmosphere.

I had a very special Christmas day last year. I experienced the western

style festival. There was a new foreign teacher taught us the lesson. She was

about 50 years old and she was very kind and we all liked her. On Christmas Day,

she brought us the desserts she made early in the morning. We enjoyed the

home-made cakes. Whats more, she invited us to came to her house and spent the

day with her. Then for the first time, I ate big turkey, which was so delicious.

The turkey was filled with many stuffs and the flavor was so good. After dinner,

we sang songs and danced.

Thanks to my foreign teacher, I experienced the American style festival. It

was such funny for me. Though today many people enjoy shopping in all kinds of

festivals, the meaning of these festival should be remembered.

Dear Sir,

I am highly disappointed in the proposed 2004-05 budget cuts to educa1ion. Taking away basic aid status and slashing our school budgets is a recipe for educational disaster in our school. The future lies with our children. They must have access to high quality educa1ion.

My husband and I have worked hard to be able to live in a school district that provides high quality education for our children. Cutting funding in districts like ours will have a negative impact on property values.

The school that my daughter attends is hardly wha1 I would describe as a "rich" school. Parents are asked to pay for books for all the classes, science supplies and for their students to participate in the performing arts among other items. If our school is to remain a world leader in technological development, cutting our school funds is the worst possible choice to make.

Education funds should not be diverted away from education.

提起手上的笔,我明知你收不到这封信。但我还是情不自禁地拿起了，心里涌起了一阵莫名的痛。缓缓地激起了藏在心中多年来的敬佩。无数个潇潇风雨的夜里，我静静地看着你的照片。我想，难道你曾经钉子般的精神真的已和这个社会脱轨了。我知道，你甘心做一个傻子，一个为人民谋幸福的傻子，无怨无悔，为党和人民甘愿献出自已宝贵的生命。我知道在个社会也需要你这样的人才。我想如果每一个人都能够像你一样，那这个社会该多好啊。

您曾经说过：“人的生命是是有限的，可是，为人民服务是无限的，我要把有限的生命投入到无限的为人民服务之中去。”也正是这句话，将您带入宽容别人，原谅别人的天地。

记得有一次，您在修好的车间调度室里读书，。外面突然下起倾盆大雨，这时，你看见车间调度员焦急地说：“工地上还有六节车皮水泥没卸下来，被水一淋，就要变质，得赶快叫人抢救!”您一听，立刻叫了二十几个小伙子，并把自己的衣服、被子盖在上面。大家盖得盖，搬得搬。水泥终于好不容易的保住了，可是，你的衣服被子却被雨水和水泥搞的一塌糊涂了。

也许你真的远远地离我们去了，在这个浮华拜金的时代，不再以道德为尊的时代，我替时代感到悲哀。我替那些为个人的利益斤斤计较的人小感到可耻。在这个偶像遍地的黄金时代，我曾问我的朋友你认识雷锋吗?他们说，不认识你。我大为震惊。难道雷锋精神真的被人遗弃了吗?难道这个日新月异的国家，繁荣强大的同时，人们的精神却越来越冷漠?幼时的我经常听老师说起你的故事，你一生正直朴素，为人民服务毫无杂念。从那时起，你是人们心中的偶像，我心中敬仰的大英雄。MZX也曾经说过向雷锋同志学习。那时人们也争相以助人为乐为荣。而现在当我看见街头上有人抢劫，路人只是冷漠旁观。当人们遇到困难麻烦时，人们也是装作若无其事，冷漠而置之不理。而当他们自己的一点小小的利益被触及时，却为此大打出手，强词夺理，不惜搔扰他人。站在公交车上很难再看到是否还有人会主动让位给老人坐了，再也很难看到有人捡拾到钱包主动寻找失主交公了。生存在这个社会上，大多数人们都是戴着虚伪的面具。难道儿时的纯真，善良现在看起来真的很傻吗?而雷锋同志，你看见此情此景，又会作何感想呢?

在人生的道路上应该如何迈步呢?我曾经犹豫过。而现在不管世俗如代可污浊。我都会像你一样坚守自已的信念，因为祖国需要我们。雷锋，我还有很多话对你说，曾经我不知道黑夜里的默默地付出，不知是对还是错呢?今天我终于明白，所以我应该像你一样，在平凡的生活中也可以拥有高贵的灵魂。
