Table Manners

The main difference between Chinese and western eating habits is that unlike the West, where everyone has their own plate of food, in China the dishes are placed on the table and everybody shares. If you are being treated by a Chinese host, be prepared for a ton of food. Chinese are very proud of their culture of cuisine and will do their best to show their hospitality.

And sometimes the Chinese host use their chopsticks to put food in your bowl or plate. This is a sign of politeness. The appropriate thing to do would be to eat the whatever-it-is and say how yummy it is. If you feel uncomfortable with this, you can just say a polite thank you and leave the food there.

Dont stick your chopsticks upright in the rice bowl.Instead,lay them on your dish. 时光来到了1970年，我从农村抽调到铁岭工作，回到我童年生活的这座城市，内心充满了激动。但它仍然是我记忆中的平房、土屋，偶尔谁家姑娘、小伙子到了结婚年龄，没有房住，只好在父辈的房屋边接个小偏厦，土炕上男欢女爱，年复一年的打发日子。

变化在人们的不知不觉中，时光来到了1984年，铁岭被国务院批准成立了市。建市22年来，我深深感受了这个城市的变化。

22年前，我的儿子还在幼儿园时，丈夫单位分给一套“点25”楼房。所谓“点25”楼房，有一间大屋可放一张双人床，一间小屋可放一单人床，有一厨一厕一个小走廊，总建筑面积38平方米。缺点是厨房设计不合理，炒菜做饭需要敞开门。

刚搬新居不久，父亲调来铁岭工作，当时因无房住，只好在我家那间小屋用木板将单人床拼接起来，刚好能睡两个人，随迁来的母亲和正在读高中的小弟就住进我家这间小屋，而父亲只好临时住到单位的办公室里。

弹指22年，我和丈夫早已住上了近100平方米的楼房。2002年小弟单位集资建房，便给父母购了一套115平方米的楼房，父母搬进宽敞明亮的新居后，妈直说:“屋子大，收拾不起，累人。”可我们姐弟三家逢年过节终于可以围绕在父母身旁了。而22年前，远在沈阳工作的大弟一家三口来铁岭时都是早上乘火车来，晚上赶回去。因为屋子太小没地方住。

记得小时候，我们总说妈妈是个“破烂王”，一丁点大的布头、小钉都珍惜得不得了，“说不定什么时候就会派上用场的”，她总爱这么说。因为物质的匮乏，每天忙于生计，妈妈几乎没什么爱好，对很多事也不感兴趣了。可是，最近几年来，我们姐弟三个却发现母亲变了，变得活泼、开朗，她还爱上了“收藏”。

母亲是个赵本山迷。在铁岭首届、第二届民间艺术节期间发行的有关海报、门票、标语、广告等，凡是能搜集到的，她都用心收藏。有一次母亲坐板的(去年我们这个城市已取消了这种人力车，新开通了十多条公路汽车，整座城市到处是宽阔的油渣路面，一排排新矗立的整齐楼房，蓝天白云下的各种造型别致的广场，这些变化给铁岭换了一副美丽的面孔)，看见车上写有庆祝艺术节内容的彩幅，母亲硬是说服板的师傅将条幅卖给了她。母亲一向生活节俭，可竟舍得花钱购买二条彩幅。我笑她，她说铁岭走向全国，赵本山有功。

1972年6月5日联合国在瑞典首都斯德哥尔摩召开了联合国人类环境会议，会议通过了《人类环境宣言》，并提出将每年的6月5日定为“世界环境日”。同年10月，第27届联合国大会通过决议接受了该建议。世界环境日，是联合国促进全球环境意识、提高政府对环境问题的注意并采取行动的主要媒介之一。

联合国系统和各国政府，每年都在6月5日的这一天开展各项活动来宣传与强调保护和改善人类环境的重要性。

联合国环境规划署在每年的年初公布当年的世界环境日主题，并在每年的世界环境日发表环境状况的年度报告书。中国国家环保总局在这期间发布中国环境状况公报。

中国从1985年6月5日开始举办纪念世界环境日的活动，以“青年人口，环境”为主题 。自此之后，每年的6月5日全国各地都要举办纪念活动。1993年北京被选为举办庆祝活动的城市，其主题是“打破贫穷与环境的怪圈”。2014年4月修订公布的《中华人民共和国环境保护法》第十二条：每年6月5日为环境日。

In addition, theundergrounds and light rails should be constructed, so that we can have morechoices when going out and do not have to worry about the traffic jams in thefuture.

Then Jackie Chen make Chinese Kongfu famous all around the world, his movie is very funny by all kinds of actions. Many Hollywood directors have come to China to seek for cooperation, they want to film the movie that contains Chinese Kongfu. Kongfu is part of our culture and the world is knowing us by it.
