我们先是坐缆车直接到第五号烽火台。坐在缆车里，远处正好有一大团云雾把万里长城紧紧地包住了，什么也看不见。过了一会儿，云雾慢慢散去，八达岭长城像一条巨龙出现在我的眼前。我想，古人是多么聪明与勤劳啊！那时候没有大吊车和大卡车，他们得从很远很远的地方把石头运过来，还得一块一块地搬到山上，他们为修筑长城真是付出了太多、太多……

下了缆车，我们发现这段长城特别陡，我和妈妈还得抓住中间的扶手才能勉强前行。妈妈才爬一点点就不行了，说要停下来休息休息，我也借机仔细欣赏一下长城的美景——长城的城墙都是由一块块长方形的青砖砌成的，每间隔一段，城墙上就有凹凸的口子，那是古代人打仗时用来架武器的。放眼望去，长城有无数个烽火台，前看不到头，后看不见尾，真是名副其实的“万里”长城！

过了一会儿，我和妈妈继续前进。就在这时，我发现长城的一些砖上竟然刻了“xxx到此一游”！真没想到在这么美的长城上竟会出现这种不文明的行为，我们应该阻止！我们应该爱护国家文物！

经过了一天的游览，我和妈妈已经筋疲力尽了，但我感到非常自豪。俗话说：“不到长城非好汉。”我今天终于成为一名真正的好汉了！
