这样的一个青年“标准”，不禁让人想到了“中国十大杰出青年”当时都已经超过了28岁，有的已经接近40岁。由此可见，十大杰出青年的评选并不是以14至28周岁为条件的。还有其他如青年教师、青年干部等，一般都把40岁以下的都当作青年。可是现在“青年节”放假，规定年龄为14至28周岁，这明显和一些部门因某时某地某种特殊需要而定义的“青年”相矛盾，与社会公众的惯常理解不吻合。有了这样的规定，也就意味着许多十大杰出青年、杰出青年教师，虽然有青年的称号，却没有青年节休假的权利，这岂不是天大的笑话? 为什么有这么大的笑话，一个重要的原因就是这次定义青年的年龄段，是根据团章来的。什么样的年龄是青年，不应该只以团员年龄为标准，毕竟青年并不能和团员等同起来，应该多听听社会的意见。更不能对一个定义，不同部门给出不同的规定，如此只会增加各自的矛盾，让群众无所适从，更可笑的是，还会出现诸如“杰出青年”不是青年，没有休假权利的现象。

难道过了28周岁，咱就不能再当青年人了吗?
