The best way to help me through my emotional crises is to share my feelings

with a few good friends of mine. Through talking with them, I have a chance to

vent my feelings and find a proper way to solve my problem as well. Exchange of

The Chinese New Year has a great history. In our past, people lived in an agricultural society and worked all year long. They only took a break after the harvest and before the planting of seeds. This happens to coincide with the beginning of the lunar New Year.

The Chinese New Year is very similar to the Western one, rich in traditions, folklores and rituals. It has been said that it is a combination of the Western Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year. This is hardly an exaggeration!

The origin of the Chinese New Year itself is centuries old - in fact, too old to actually be traced. It is popularly recognized as the Spring Festival and celebrations last 15 days.

Preparations tend to begin a month before the date of the Chinese New Year (similar to a Western Christmas). During this time people start buying presents, decoration materials, food and clothing. A huge clean-up gets underway days before the New Year, when Chinese houses are cleaned from top to bottom. This ritual is supposed to sweep away all traces of bad luck. Doors and windowpanes are often given a new coat of paint, usually red, then decorated with paper cuts and couplets with themes such as happiness, wealth and longevity printed on them.

The end of the New Year is marked by the Festival of Lanterns, which is a celebration with singing, dancing and lantern shows.

At the Festival, all traditions are honored. The predominant colors are red and gold. "Good Wish" banners are hung from the ceilings and walls. The "God of Fortune" is there to give Hong Baos. Lion dancers perform on stage continuously. Visitors take home plants and flowers symbolizing good luck. An array of New Years specialty food is available in the Food Market. Visitors purchase new clothing, shoes and pottery at the Market Fair. Bargaining for the best deal is commonplace!

Study has been an important part of our life. I study hard in school and

even I graduate, I still keep reading books. Reading books not only brings me

the knowledge, but also happiness. The knowledge I learn will be the greatest

treasure of my life.

The basic things I learn from books teach me the way to see the world. When

I was very small, I fell in love with reading. I read cartoon books, then I

learn more about the world. For example, I know more about sports and the

different culture of areas. So I know the diversity of the world. When I have

conflict with others, I try to understand them instead of arguing with them.

The books show me the way to solve problems. I read about many inspiring

stories about how great people get success. So when I meet difficulties, I tell

myself not to give up, failure is the mother of success. So I can get over the

difficulties and become stronger.

Study has been the long-life career for me and I enjoy the wisdom I

get.

From the chart, it is obvious that renting a room near the university is more comfortable to live in. However, If let choose, I will choose the former without hesitation.

For one thing, Im a person who is afraid of loudiness. So I would like to live with other 3 persons rather than myself alone. Moreover, I can learn how to communicate with others and help each other if I live with other people. I also can make more friends in the university.

Secondly, even though there is no single cleaning facility in the dormitory, it can help me adapt myself to the surrounding and learn how to live in harmony with others. Whats more, although Im a person who loves freedom, I hope the dormitory life could make my life more regular and meaningful.

Last but not least, the fees of the dormitory is far cheaper than the renting room. Choosing the former one will make easier to me to afford it by myself.

There are four seasons in the year. They’re spring, summer, autumn and

winter.

Spring is warm and sunny. In spring days, everything in our nature is

green, so we can go out to release ourselves and breathe the fresh air. I think

its a good way to enjoy our beautiful nature.

Summer is hot and rainy, but summer is the best season for entertainment,

because we can go swimming in the sea and enjoy the beautiful sunshine on the

beach. It must be very interesting.

Autumn is very cool and comfortable, and it is also the best season for

harvest. In autumn days, the farmers are busy in their fields. If we had a

chance, we could go to the countryside and pick up some fresh fruits and

vegetables.

Winter is very cold and freezing. In winter, our world is covered with

white snow, so we can either make snowmen or fight with snow. And we can also

enjoy the beautiful ice lanterns in Harbin. But I prefer to go to Sanya during

that time. As its on Hainan Island, the weather is always so temperate. Even in

December, I can still enjoy the green palm trees, the beautiful sea, the sunny

"Yang Jun Bao" is my good friend and classmate from grade 1 to grade four. And he was divided into class five (6) this year, and I was divided into grade five (4), so we couldnt play together.

Yang Junbao is eleven years old. He has jet black hair, watery eyes and big nose. He likes painting and sports. His personality is good and bad. I remember the third grade, there is a class, he and I go out to bars parallel bars, but we only think of it next to the teacher said not to let the students play bars. Oh, it tasted good! later, we used eggs, flour and milk to make many pancakes. To cook them is very interesting. When we finished it, the pancakes looked round and nice. The summer camp is a really good chance for me. I know the local things in england. I learned a lot and like english more. I also know better ways to learn english well.

夏天的一个夜晚，他正在院子里背一篇文章，忽然见许多萤火虫在地空中飞舞。一闪一闪的光点，在黑暗中闪得有些耀眼。他想，如果把许多的萤火虫集中到一起，不就成为一盏灯了吗?

于是，他去找了一只白绢口袋，随即抓了几十只萤火虫放在里面，再扎住口袋，把它吊起来。虽然不怎么明亮，但可勉强用来看书了。从此，只要有萤火虫，他就来抓一把来当灯用。由于他勤学苦练后来终于做了职位很高的官。

同朝代的孙康也是如此。由于没钱买灯油，晚上不能看书，只能早早睡觉。他觉得让时间这样白白浪费，非常可惜。一天晚上，孙康从睡梦中醒来，看到大雪透过窗户射进来的一丝光亮。他倦意顿失，不顾寒冷，奔到雪地里读起了书。手脚冻僵了，就起身跑一跑。此后，每逢有雪的晚上，他都会不顾严寒出来读书。后来他也当上了高官。

这些古人爱学、奋斗的精神都是我们应该学习的。现在的条件、科技都在慢慢的进步着，都比以前要好，与他们相比我们有什么理由不去好好学习、努力奋斗呢!

My childhood was unforgettable. When I was five years old, I went to the kindergarten every day. I had a lot of good time with my little friends. My parents took good care of me. I didn’t need to care about food and clothes and any other things. I was very happy in those days. But one day, my mother told me that she wouldnt pick me up after school. I was afraid of going home alone, so I started to cry and I was angry with my mother. Although I insisted that she and my father should protect me safely, they still disagreed with me. They thought it was good for me to learn to be independent. The next day after class, I had to take a bus to go back home. I forgot to see the bus route when I got on. Therefore, when the bus was more and more far from my home, I felt anxious. Finally, I got the last stop, and then took the same bus back home. When I told my parents my story, they never thought it is a mistake, on the contrary, they thought it is a useful experience. From then on, I dont let them meet me after school any more.
