The tomb sweeping day is one of the traditional festivals in China. On April 5th, people start to visit their ancestors’ tombs. Generally speaking, people will bring the home-made food, some fake money and paper-made mansion to their ancestors. When they start to honour their ancestor, they will light up some candles and incense, put some flowers around the tombs.

The most important thing is to put the home-made food in front of the tombs. The food, also known as sacrifices, is usually made up with a chicken, a fish and some pork. It’s a symbol of the offspring’s respect to the ancestors. People believe that the forbears will share the food with them. The children dedicate the food and money to their forbears in order to show their love and caring. The young offspring will go down on their knees and pray for their ancestors. They can say their wishes in front of the tombs and the ancestors will make their dreams come true.

In some provinces of China, people use different activities to commemorate this day, for instance, spring-outing, swinging, tree planting and making special food. One special food is Ay Tsao rice balls. It looks like Tang-yuan, but its colour is green. Mix the ay tsao juice with the rice powder, then make it into small balls. The Ay Tsao rice ball is done. People believe that eating ay tsao rice balls can get rid of the bad luck and everything will go smoothly. Other activities such as spring outing, tree planting are the other ways to commemorate the forbears. For one thing, it is a sign that people should look into the future and embrace the hope; for another thing, we do hope our ancestor rest in peace.

Nowadays, many families have a dog or a cat as a pet. Some people think

that pets are good and helpful companies. Some of them even go so far as saying

that animals are as good as humans, and their rights should be respected .Senior

citizens are especially fond of keeping pet because they are always feeling

lonely at home and they see the cats or dogs as their partner.

But some other people do not like pets. They say that animals are noisy,

dirty and dangerous. They think laws should be made to forbid people from

keeping pets in cities and towns.

In my opinion, pets are loyal friends that will never betray us. Staying

with pets, we shall enjoy happiness and feel relaxed. Most important of all,

keeping pets helps people to reduce loneliness and forget their unpleasant

things for the time being.

The Spring Festival is the most important festival in China. People usually

Children can get some new clothes or presents from their parents and

called yuanxiao. It can take people good luck all the year round.

今年暑假，我们一家和弟弟一家一块儿去桂林游玩。在前往桂林的火车上，我们说说笑笑，不知不觉时间过了20个钟头，到达了目的地——桂林。

到达桂林之后，我们每个人都抑制不住开心激动的心情。等到导游给我们安排好房间，睡了一个午觉之后，我们便开始了下午的桂林之旅。

我们下午去了桂林著名的正阳步行街，那里有许许多多桂林当地的特产，琳琅满目，数不胜数。在正阳步行街，我们买了许多好玩的好吃的。时间不知不觉就到了，晚上12点。可是那里还是人山人海，灯火通明。一直到凌晨一点，我们才回到了宾馆。

第二天我们去了古东瀑布，那里上山有平行的两条路，一条旱路，一条水路。水路的瀑布是可以攀爬的，我和弟弟嚷着闹着要爬瀑布，婶婶也喜欢玩水，她决定和我们一起爬瀑布，爸爸、妈妈走旱路。我们和婶婶先排队领出草鞋、雨衣、头盔和手机套，穿上装备，就开始攀爬。一级瀑布特别陡，基本上有七十度，但是水流特别湍急，瀑布中间只有一根铁链子，我紧紧地抓住铁链子，使足了九牛二虎之力，才爬上了瀑布；第二级瀑布特别长，水很深，但水流比较缓和，所以就特别容易攀爬；第三级瀑布的道路特别难走，高低起伏，稍不留神就会跌入水中，经过漫长的时间攀岩后，我们终于爬到了瀑布的顶端。 虽然累得我们气喘吁吁，但是心里美滋滋的。在下山的路上，我都在回味刚才的瀑布情景，特别想再去尝试一次。

在接下来的几天里，我们分别去了冠岩、漓江、银子岩、蝴蝶泉、侗族寨等等。

这次的桂林之行，我非常的开心，因为我了解到了很多的知识，风景也特别的漂亮。最重要的是，我还知道了桂林名字的由来：桂林桂林，桂树成林；桂花桂花，香飘万家。桂林，我还会再来看你的！

It is true that summer is hot, very hot. But the wicked summer sun is

nothing to me, for I dont usually go out. What I like to do best during the

long summer vacation is to stay in my own little room and read. I love to read,

but during the school year I could hardly find a free moment for reading.

My Family

My name is Li Hua. I am from a workers family. There are six people in my

family. They are my grandfather, my grandmother, my father, my mother, my sister

and I.

Every member in my family works for his or her own trade①. My grandfather

and grandmother are peasants. They do farm work every day in my hometown. My

father is a senior engineer. He is now working in Africa, helping to build a

power station. My mother is a teacher. She teaches English in a middle school.

My sister, five years older than I, is a doctor in the Peoples Hospital of our

county. She loves her work and does it well. I am a middle school student. And I

am going to take this years college entrance examination. I wish that I could

be enrolled② by a famous university.

That is my family. All the members in my family live in harmony③. We love

One Sunday my mother had me take my little young brother to the a trip to

the country. She bade me take good care of him.

While we were walking along the road, the sun was shining brightly and the

I have a beautiful school.

In the spring,the weather become warmer and warmer.And the trees become

green.Some birds are singing on the trees.The flowers are open.Some butterflies

are fly over the flowers.In the fall,the weather is windy.The leaves of trees

like butterflies are in the sky.

What a beautiful school is!I like my school.

The conception of money is different for the old and the young. The old

generation believes that money should be saved in case of the urgent situation,

while most young people think that money should be spent to realize its value.

When I was struggled about the different opinions, I saw the news report about a

man got back his money that he saved in the early 1990s, which was about 1000

RMB. People made their comment that this amount of money meant so much at that

time, which could buy a nice big house, while today it was just a big meal in

the restaurant. This news inspired me to make reasonable plan of money. The old

way to treat money is not suitable, because money will lose its value as time

goes by. I choose to spend part of money while saving another part of it.

Today, I got up at 8:00 at usual. And I have a busy day. In the morning, I

studied for two hours. And then my father told me to visit my uncle with him. We

took something to him and had lunch at his home. We went home at 14:00. When we

got home, my mother was cleaning our home, so my father and I helped her. I

cleaned my room. It was a little dirty. After that, we went to the supermarket.

I bought some snacks. I was tired today.

今天，我非常高兴，因为，科学老师要给我们一些春蚕。我拿着盒子，兴致勃勃地去向老师要了六只可爱的“蚕宝宝”。

它们个个都是一个“吃货”。给它们的三四片桑叶，不到一个小时，就吃完了。它们吃桑叶的时候，有的直着身子，一刻不停的吃，生怕别的蚕吃了它的桑叶;有的蜷缩着身子，成了一团，从左到右沿着边缘，一点一点地吃，好像一点桑叶也不要剩下;有的则爬在一片桑叶上，一口下去一个洞，好像哪里好吃就吃那里一样，结果，这只蚕吃过的桑叶，放眼望去，布满了洞洞，像蜘蛛网一样，真是浪费“粮食”呀;有的则互相抱成一团，见到一片桑叶吃一下，再见到另一片再吃一下，一看就是一个爱“挑食”主儿，怪不得长的那么瘦。它们的吃法五花八门，千奇百怪，个个堪称吃货能手，都是小小“美食家”。

晚上的时候，我去观察这一群“小吃货”，发现它们都直着身子，像一个“一”字，直挺挺躺着，我晃一晃它们的“摇篮”(装蚕的纸盒)，它们还是一动不动。我慌了，感觉大事不妙，心里琢磨：是不是喂它们的.桑叶有毒，它们中毒了?会不会都死了呢?想到这里，我不禁大叫了一声。因为才养了一天，它们就死了，这也太可惜了吧!情绪瞬间从惊慌的高楼跌倒了悲伤的深渊。

这时，爸爸走了过来，皱着眉头问：“怎么了?出什么事了?你刚才叫什么呀?”于是，我就沮丧地向爸爸述说了我刚才看到的情况。爸爸听了后，突然笑了起来。我不满地说：“蚕宝宝都死了，您还笑。”“你这个小傻瓜，蚕宝宝这是在睡觉呢!”爸爸摸了摸我的头说。我疑惑地问：“不对呀，我睡觉都是弯着身子睡得呀，为什么蚕睡觉就像尺子一样直呢?直挺挺看着就像死了一样。”知识渊博的爸爸说：“这是因为各种动物都有自己的习性。蚕睡觉时，就是喜欢在阴凉的地方，比如桑叶下面，直着身子睡觉。”奥，我明白了，原来是这样啊，真是虚惊一场。

世界上的生物是多么的奇妙，多么的美妙呀!就像一位名人所说的，“世界上不缺少美，而是缺少发现美的眼睛”。在生活和学习中，我们一定要仔细观察，认真思考，去发现生活中的奇妙，学习中的问题。

I went out to have dinner with father today。 I should make toast during the

dinner but there was no juice availabe。 So I had a bottle of beer。 My face

turned red but I was not drunk。 I dont think beer tastes bad but I wont like

have it too much because I am only a student。

Mooncake is often eaten during the festival.Typical mooncakes are round or rectangular pastries, measuring about 10 cm in diameter and 4-5 cm thick. A thick pasty filling is surrounded by a relatively thin (2-3 mm) crust and may contain yolks from salted duck eggs. Mooncakes are rich, heavy, and dense compared with most Western cakes and pastries. They are usually eaten in small wedges accompanied by Chinese tea.

The longing summer vacation is approaching, it is the best part of the

school year for me. I cannot let the holidays elapse (逝去) meaninglessly, my

vacation should be a phase (时期、阶段) of harvest. The events in my plan should give

me a sense of infinite potential.

The following plan may reveal the intensity of my desire to travel, work

and study in this vacation. In the first few days I want to climb Mount Hua Shan

我忽然变得脆弱不堪。

趴在教室里，只在那些可以晃出光影的桌面微微地呻吟着——我的胃反复地痛着，痛到骨子里，而只可以深深地吸气。却无法逃脱愈来愈浓重的疼痛。有一阵子，在学校里总是这样痛，在考试的时候，或是正兴致勃勃地上着课，剧烈的绞痛感就会传来，我便只能扭曲着身子趴在书桌上，额头沁出冰凉的汗丝。那时候虽还小，却极爱想些生生死死，于是不免惶恐地想，自己就会这样在疼痛中，堕入无休止的黑暗。我记得考试的时候，还可以顶着疼痛答卷子，只是歪着头，把字写得歪歪扭扭，到最后字迹总会潦草地看不清。

我有时候，喜欢用疼痛来证明自己的坚强。想象着自己是一个勇敢的武士，面对着什么痛苦却也绝不会落泪。然而，那始终不像我这样一个骨子里怕疼的人，于是也只在吵闹着的教室里不安地攥着拳头，深深地深深地痛下去。教室是喧闹的，大家一张张的笑脸如同车两旁的风景，掩映而过。然而，这份喧嚣于我却是如此遥不可及，我甚至没有坐起来的力量，只是少有的安静地伏在桌面上，用琐碎的发遮挡着我痛苦着的面孔。

年少的心总是敏感而多情的。

今天看了张晓风的《一一风荷举》。不得不说，这样抒情性的文字真合我的胃口，诸多文字也就不在这里一一赘述，有兴趣的同学可以自行查找。看了张晓风的文字内心其实波澜还是挺大的，有许多感受，想找人分享，但是环顾四周……举目竟无一人可倾心，此乃人生大不幸之事也。很可惜，我想分享的时候找不到人。这也不是一次两次的，真心朋友真是难找，也许也有我自己的原因?

中午被班主批评了，原因是没有尽到自己的责任。其实我的内心是有点小小的不服气的，因为中午我和管理值日的同学说了我有事让他和老班说一下，也不知道他带到了没有，反正已过去就是劈头盖脸的一顿批评。但是没办法了，确实自身也是想老师说的需要完善的不足，也无从辩驳。

放学后和班级里的同学一起打了篮球。我们班十几个男生，90%以上都喜欢打篮球，这让我很欣喜，每次叫人哗啦啦的出来一大堆。但是，这个技术……我就不敢恭维了。我的技术说实在，投篮还不行，但是运球就好多了，起码过大部分人犹如过清晨的马路一般。我知晓麦迪的38秒奇迹，也知道乔丹神一样的传说，更知道科比创造紫金王朝强悍，自能自叹不如。我也想打好篮球。

然后又回到学习上。不得不说科学什么的真的是越来越难，但是不厚道地说我自认掌握不错。但是，在昨天的培优班上，今天七点二十的办公室里，我的自信一次又一次的被摧残着。唉，真是难。
