我成长的年代，香港社会艰苦，是残酷而悲凉的。那时候没有什么社会安全网，饥饿与疾病的恐惧是强烈迫人。求学的机会不是每一个人的权利，贫穷常常像一种无期徒刑。今天社会前行，新的富足为大部分人带来相对的缓冲保障，贫穷不一定是缺乏金钱，而是对希望及机遇憧憬破灭的挫败感。很多人害怕可上升的空间越来越窄，一辈子也无法冲破匮乏与弱势的局限。我理解这些恐惧，因我曾经一一身受。没有人愿意贫穷，但出路在哪里?

七十年前这问题每一个晚上都在我心头，当年十四岁时已需要照顾一家人，没有接受教育的机会，没有可以依靠的人脉网路，我很怀疑只凭刻苦耐劳，和一股毅力，是否足以让我渡过难关?我们一家人的命运是否早已注定?纵使我能餬口存活，但我有否出人头地的一天?

I remember 9 months ago, I was in a hurry to prepare for the college exam. I was afraid I couldnt get to my favorite school at the time. But at last I realized my dream. Now I study Chinese in my favorite university, Hanoi University.

After going to college, my life didnt change too much. Because I live and study in Hanoi, so I dont have to leave the family or rent a house. My home is not far from school, just 15 minutes by bike. But, to be honest, I prefer to live away from home, because I can live on my own, and I can feel the feeling of homesickness.

After the study, everything here is very new to me. I study in a new environment, know a lot of new friends, learn a lot of new knowledge, and so on. At first I felt a little nervous. But now Im getting used to it. The classmates of our class are all very united, often help each other to learn, there is a collective activity, we all join. When I came to school, I felt that I was not very nervous, but more and more knowledge was needed to learn. 上大学后，对我来说印象追深刻的是图书馆。我学校的图书馆很大，也很漂亮。这里有各种各样的书，也很安静。所以每天下课，我都到那里学习，看书。我学校还有大大的体育场。每天下午，我都会跟朋友去那锻炼身体。比如打篮球，散布等等，感觉很轻松。

大学期间，我只有半天的上课时间，所以我用剩下的时间打工赚钱用来增长经验。大学期间，除学习外还可以参加社团活动，这很有益与我们帮助别人，因为我们都是热血青年。

firstly,i decide to try my best to learn english .because my english so poor that it affects my other subject.i willface many differences ,such as broadening my vocabulary, training my listening ,improving my write and so on. i must work hard because i dont want to behind the times.

As we enter a new school, we first have to adapt a new environment and meet new people.As we leave home and move into the school dormitory, we need to learn to live and get along with other people who have different living habit. And as we start a higher level education, we need to adopt a new way of study. Teachers are no more like the ones in high school that will push us to learn.

Instead, we have more options and spare time to do what we want.

I am glad that I have overcome the difficulties and adapted the new life of college. I have achieved a lot more than I expected at my first year of college. First of all, I have made new friends who share the same hobbies and met new teachers who inspire me in all way. Secondly, I have become more independent. I have got used to a new way of study and often study different things by myself. I can take care of myselfwithout parents being by my side all the time. My first year at college is excellent and I really appreciate all that I have learnt this year.

n my understanding, if we refer to an ideal college life as a formal western dinner, then a high GPA, that is, Grade Point Average, should be the main course, while an active part in activities, together with associations, means the appetizer. Some romances, of course, play the role as desserts. They are the 3 key elements for an ideal college life.

Those, however, are not what college life is all about. As we all know, college is wildly different from middle school. It connects not only adolescence to adulthood, but also the ivory tower to the real society. Therefore, the ideal college life is that I become matured both physically and mentally, and that I obtain qualified academic knowledge and get well prepared for society at the same time.

Under this circumstance, I never expect my college life to be too ideal, or you can call it too perfect. The first time I entered the campus as a freshman, I was deeply attracted by her cultural atmosphere and historical connotation. Fudan is a graceful lady who is accustomed to serenity but meanwhile each action of hers outpours her innermost tern perament. Apparently it is worth every effort to probe into her world for the sake of both physical and mental enrichment. Her humanistic spirit inspires me to care for everything around, even the most trivial one.
