有一次，我发现自己的一本作业本不知被什么东西咬得乱七八糟，我问妈妈，妈妈说可能是蟑螂咬的，用杀虫剂在房间里喷一下就没关系了。当时，我心中便冒出了这样一个疑问：蟑螂的生命力到底是怎样的呢？我决定对这个问题展开研究调查，以获悉蟑螂这种动物的生命力到底是怎样的。我把这个想法告诉了妈妈，妈妈觉得这个想法很好，十分支持我，并承诺捉蟑螂的工作由她和爸爸负责。说干就干，我利用极短的时间把整个研究计划给拟定了出来，爸爸看过之后给我提了许多宝贵的意见，使整个研究计划更加完善了！虽然以前也对一些问题展开过调查研究，可是我还从来没对活的动物进行过具体细致的研究，心里对这次研究的成功率也没个底儿，但我有着坚强的后盾，那就是爸爸妈妈的支持，又使我树立起了信心。蟑螂一般在深夜人静之时出来活动，爸爸和妈妈就轮流守夜捕捉蟑螂，就这样，过了两三天，终于捉到了三只蟑螂。我开始测试了，第一个项目是把一只蟑螂放在滚烫的开水中，看它能活多长时间。我准备好手表和一盆冒着热气的开水，我把蟑螂放入开水当中，开始计时，不出30秒钟，刚才还活蹦乱跳的蟑螂就死掉了。第一项测试取得了成功，我紧接着进行了第二项实验：蟑螂在冷水中能坚持多久。我再次准备好所需器具：一盆冷水和手表，开始测验。我把蟑螂放入水中，开始计时。我在实验现场观察了3个多小时，终于，蟑螂在入水3小时29分之后死亡，第二项实验也以成功而告终。因为第三只蟑螂较小，妈妈担心研究出的结果不准确，所以劝我将第三项测试时间往后推移，等抓到一只大一点儿的蟑螂时再做实验。过了一天，第三只蟑螂捉到了，我又忙着开始了测试。这一次是把蟑螂关在一个空瓶子里，使其不吃不喝，看它能生活多长时间。这一次的研究没有什么物质对蟑螂起到直接伤害作用，所以用的时间也相对较长，我便和爸爸妈妈轮流守在旁边观察，12小时之后，蟑螂又死在了瓶子里面。通过研究实验，我得出了结论：蟑螂的生命力属于比较顽强那一类。七天的调查结束了，我写出了一篇精彩的、数据真实可靠的论文，获得了市第十八届青少年科技创新大赛小学组小论文比赛二等奖，为这次调查研究活动画上了一个圆满的句号。
