The cartoon given above tells us that there are two persons who are arguing with each other about the importance of book Knowledge and experience. In fact, knowledge can be acquired from many sources. These include reading books, classroom activities and practice.

The knowledge we gain from books and formal education enables us to learn about things that we have no opportunity to experience in our daily life. First of all, we can study all the places in the world and learn from people we will never meet in our lifetime, just by reading about them in books. Second, we can also develop our analytical skills and learn how to view and interpret the world around us in different ways. Last but not least, we can shuttle between the past and the future by reading books. In this way, we wont repeat the mistakes of others.

Practice, on the other hand, offers us more useful knowledge. In fact, as we all know failure is the mother of success. Moreover, if one wants to make new advances, it is necessary to act. Finally, one can apply the skills and insights gained through the study of books to practical experience, making an already meaningful experience more meaningful.

I am open-minded, willing and have broad interests like basketball, reading and especially in engineering such as software programming, website design, hardware design. For example, during the past four years, I have accomplished two websites: one is the website of our school, and the other is the website of the doctor forum of china 2007. Furthermore, I am interested in C plus plus programming language and have written some application programs. In July in the last year,I finished my graduate project with flying colors,which was a software application about Image Process . In addition, I have also finished some projects about embedded system by using MCU when I was a junior.

白花花的大米是农民们用汗水孕育出的，黑油油的煤矿是采矿工人们冒着生命危险，用先进的工具与他们的双手开采出来的。我们幸福的生活是辛勤的劳动换来的。

事实证明，实践生活是多么的重要，我从今天与姑姑通电话的过程当中，从不知到深 知有了很大的收获。我愿意把这份收获与大家分享。

我与姑姑已经好久没有见面了，我们聊了好久，聊家常，聊生活，聊学习，聊趣文，总之什么都聊，但千聊万聊，也聊不完我的心里话。“天下没有不散的宴席，当然也就没有不终止的谈话。”我正待要与姑姑说再见时，突然想起学校的通知——澳大利亚14日游。便与姑姑谈了起来，姑姑对澳大利亚挺熟悉，因为她去过，也研究了解过。当我说要交18500元旅游费时，姑姑非常惊讶：“哦!这么贵，一般你自己去澳大利亚14天，最多也只要10000多元吧。”“啊?难怪我们班的同学没有多少人愿意破费呢!”我道。姑姑又和我侃侃而谈了一番她出国的经验。

原来，做什么事情都需要经验，而经验的来源之处便是实践。从我们呱呱坠地那一刻起，我们什么经验也没有，甚至不知道烂苹果不能吃。那么怎样才能获得这些生活必须的经验呢?那就要实践。像我那时爬尖峰山，站在山脚，望而生畏，恐惧退缩，而真正爬上了尖峰山山顶时，胜利的喜悦便涌上心头，从而又多了一份经验。

耳听为虚，眼见为实，更进一步的就是实践，当别人引诱你去别的地方时，嘴巴说得多甜呀!我们要吸取爷爷奶奶、爸爸妈妈的经验，在套上自己所拥有的经验，拥有这“老江湖经验”，才能辨别是非，才能保护自己。实践和经验是不能分开的。
