一天早上，天气晴朗，我和爸爸去小区的公园里锻炼身体。走着，走着，当我们经过花坛边的一个水龙头时，我惊讶地发现：水龙头没有拧紧，水正在一滴一滴地往下流，地上已经有一大滩水了。我心想：如果一直让水不停地往下流，那多浪费水呀!而且，我们中国是一个缺水的国家，不少边远山区缺乏水，甚至影响到了人们的生活，我们现在有水可以用，就更应该珍惜了。我们老师说过：“节约用水，人人有责。千万不要让最后一滴水变成我们的眼泪!”于是，我就毫不犹豫地踩过水塘，伸出手，把水龙头用力地拧紧，直到水龙头不滴水为止，我这才安心地离开，脸上露出甜甜的笑容。这时，一阵微风吹来，吹动着我胸前的绿领巾，好像在夸奖我是个节约用水的好孩子。

有一次，我看见妈妈在淘米，将米洗晶莹剔透了，并没有打算将淘米水倒掉，而是放在那里。我疑惑不解：淘米水这么脏，先不说它没有用处了，淘米水浑浊说不定还有细菌呢，就算没有细菌，放久了说不定会发臭呢!我简直不敢相信平时做事清晰有条理的妈妈会犯这种低级的小错误。时间慢慢地过去了，妈妈叫我吃饭，我原以为妈妈会恍然大悟没想到妈妈依然执迷不悟。我津津有味地吃饭，悄悄地观察着妈妈的言行举止，我不动声色，可妈妈一如往常。吃完了饭，我看见妈妈将碗筷收拾好放在淘米水中洗着。我霎时傻眼了，我问妈妈：“妈妈，你怎么能用淘米水洗碗筷呢?”妈妈哈哈大笑，抚摸着我的头说：“你可别看淘米水这么脏，其实它拥有米表皮的营养，用来洗碗筷还可以去油的，可以洗得很干净，淘米水还可以洗菜、洗脸等等。”原来是这样啊，我懵懂地点点头说：“我懂了。”
