When I wanted to participate in the school student union election to become the chair of the student union, they were excited about this and helped me in preparing my speech and choosing what to wear on that election day. I also am grateful to them because theyve bought me a piano. I love music and although I was not happy to practice for 2 hours everyday when I was a kid, now I see why my parents kind of forced me to practice piano. Now I can work under pressure but still present the good work and keep the good spirit. I can also play piano or electronic keyboard when Im at a party to impress other people. So a big thank you to my parents and Im so lucky to be in this family.

我有一个幸福的家庭，里面有长得像女王的美女妈妈；有胖茄子爸爸；已经成年的姐姐和聪明漂亮的我。我们一家四口幸幸福福、快快乐乐的生活在一起。

先来说说我吧，我是一个聪明的女孩子，一年级还考过全班第一呢。我最爱吃冰淇淋了，在夏天的时候每周至少吃一个，吃冰淇淋的这一天是我最开心的时候。

我的姐姐喜欢黑色、灰色，深蓝色等闷闷的颜色。她已经上大学了，一回家就爱管我。白天上学还好，晚上就不停地说我。什么不能玩手机呀，不能看电视呀……可唠叨了。

我的妈妈是我的女神，她很能干，每天都是她洗碗。别人都叫她冯姐，因为她是一个总经理。妈妈白天要工作，晚上要管我写作业，可辛苦啦。

好了，该写写老爸了。他很高很胖，是一个胖茄子。他很爱喝酒抽烟，总是爱“审问”妈妈，都可以叫他法官了。

这就是我幸福的一家。我想对我的家人说：我不需要你们多富有，只要你们健健康康就好。我爱你们。

Today was Sunday, I was so happy because our family had a big meeting, we went to the park to have the barbecue. We called our relatives to join us, it was such a great party. As the family members haven’t got together for a long time, so my father decided to get everybody united. In the park, I played with my cousins, we were taking a visit of the park while the parents were doing the barbecue.

When my counsins and I played so tiredly, we went to join the grow-ups’ activities.

The fathers were talking about the business stuff, while the mothers were talking about the children and their daily life. Our family was so harmonious, we shared the things together and helped each other. I like this activity so much, I wish my families can have more time to be together.

今天是星期天，我很开心，因为我们的家庭有一个大聚会，我们去公园烧烤。我们叫上了亲戚来加入，这是多么盛大的派对啊。由于家庭成员间很久没有在一起了，因此父亲决定把大家团聚在一起。在公园里，我和表亲们在玩，我们在参观公园，而家长们则在烧烤。在表亲们和我玩累了，我们就加入大人们的活动。父亲们在谈论生意上的事情，然而母亲们在谈论孩子和日常生活。我们的家庭是那么的和谐，一起分享东西和彼此帮助。我很喜欢这样的活动，我希望我的家人们能有的时间相聚。

[高中英语作文：家庭烧烤

最近，我在新民迎宾馆听了“最实干的教育工作者”李威主讲的大型公益报告《幸福家庭——父母智慧》，听后感触很深。

作为人师人母，随着年龄的慢慢增长，孩子的渐渐长大，现在我更深刻地理解了“任何成功都无法弥补一个孩子教育的失败”这句话的深刻含义。孩子是父母生命的延续，是世界民族的未来。如果孩子不成“人”，只知吃喝享乐，甚至打爹骂娘，触犯法律，那么我们在外辛苦打拼赚钱还有什么意义。

教育界自古就有一句名言：“幼儿养性，童蒙养正，少年养志。”教育孩子应该赶早，从现在就开始。那么我们应该为我们的“希望”做些什么呢?至圣孔子曾经说过：“其身正，不令而行;其身不正，虽令不从。”。先贤老子曾经说过：“是以圣人处无为之事，行不言之教，万物作焉而不辞。生而不有，为而不恃，功成而弗居。” 我国著名教育家陶行知也曾经说过“要想学生好学，必须先生好学;唯有学而不厌的先生才能教出学而不厌的学生。”用今天的话说就是“言传身教，无为而为”。

父母是孩子最好的老师，应做孩子的精神领袖。你的一言一行，对孩子有潜移默化的影响，就像央视的公益广告所演的“妈妈为年迈的老人端水洗脚，年幼的孩子为妈妈端水洗脚”。有些事不用讲大道理，你做到了，孩子看见了，他就会在某一刻自然而然地去学着做。普通工人李子木这样做了，创造出儿子成才顺利进哈佛的奇迹。李子木在儿子出生不久，便与家人约法三章：在家中不许打麻将和纸牌;周一到周五，孩子睡觉前不许看电视;孩子在家时，家里所有人尽可能都在看书，以培育孩子的读书习惯。孩子开始也坐不住，渐渐的，便能潜移默化，他也会学大人的样子坐下来看书。看，这就是“言传身教，无为而为”的力量。李子木能做到的，我们又有什么做不到的呢?

春有播种，秋就有收获。父母身体力行，说到做到，孩子才能知道做到。教育的根本目的不在于知道，而在于做到。要使孩子做到，父母的身教就更加要重于言传。

This is my father. He’s a doctor. He’s strong and cool. He likes painting. He always plays with me at home. The woman in black is my mother. She’s an English teacher. Her English is very good. She like her students and her students like her, too. She’s tall and quiet. She likes shopping. She often buys nice clothes for me. My aunt is a driver. She has long hair and big eyes. She likes shopping, too. And this is my uncle. He’s a worker. He’s strong and tall. Books are his good friends. Look at this lovely girl! Who is she? Ha, Ha! It’s me. I’m a cute girl. I’m tall and a little fat. I’m a student. I like reading, singing. dancing and acting. I’m going to be a hostess.
