My mother has no idea that her ninetieth birthday is coming up. She has no notion of the time of day, the day of the week. the season of the year, the year of the century. The Dragon Boat Festival， also called Double Fifth Festival， is celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth moon of the lunar calendar. It is one of the most important Chinese festivals，the other two being the Autumn Moon Festival and Chinese New Year.

The origin of this summer festival centers around a scholarly government official named Chu Yuan. He was a good and respected man，but because of the misdeeds of jealous rivals he eventually fell into disfavor in the emperors court.

Unable to regain the respect of the emperor，in his sorrow Chu Yuan threw himself into the Mi Low river. Because of their admiration for Chu Yuan， the local people living adjacent to the Mi Lo River rushed into their boats to search for him while throwing rice into the waters to appease the river dragons.

Although they were unable to find Chu Yuan，their efforts are still commemorated today during the Dragon Boat Festival.

初次见单老师，是在四年级刚分班的时候。我坐在第三排，躲在前排同学身后，偷偷地观察着这位数学老师。单老师长得高高的，本来眼睛就大，一张小小的巴掌脸把目光衬托得更加锐利了。单老师的目光扫过来时，我赶紧低下脑袋。

要说为什么我会这么怕数学老师?这还得从一年级说起，那会我的数学成绩是全班倒数的。数学方老师特别严格，尤其是对待我们这些差生，都说严师出高徒，后面我的成绩也赶上来了，至今我仍然感激我的方老师。可是莫名其妙地对数学老师就是有种说不出道不明的惶恐。

连续一个礼拜，单老师都没有给我们布置很多作业，说起话来还是那么温柔。可一到数学课，我就紧张，一到提问环节，我就怕得要命，努力地把头藏在前排同学身后，好让老师看不到我，心里默念：“菩萨保佑，千万不要叫到我。”

日子一天天过去，我小心翼翼地躲过了一天又一天。又到了上数学课的时间了，单老师让一位同学站起来回答一个很简单的问题，而且还是老师在课上反复强调过的，可是这个同学居然没有答对。我的心里都揪起来了，手心里捏了把汗，好像准备接受惩罚的是我，可下一秒，我也是惊呆了。单老师并没有跟方老师那样瞪着眼睛骂人，更没有高举戒尺，而是淡淡地说了句：“请坐下!”转而问其他的同学这道题，完了还关切地问刚才那位同学有没有听懂。

渐渐地，我发现单老师的教学很特别，她不会让家长检查作业，同学们不会的题目，她只让我们在课堂上订正，有个别没听懂的，她还会一个一个指导，甚至还给我们两两配对，成绩好的去帮助成绩差的同学。

转眼到了五年级，我们班的数学成绩稳坐年级第一。谢谢您，单老师!做您的学生真好，那是一种很特别的享受，是接受和煦暖阳的拥抱，是听柔软清风在呢喃，是被绵绵春雨亲吻。你让我们懂得：温柔，是一种力量。

成功是什么?

有人说成功是滴落的汗水，是失败的结晶;也有人说成功是一缕温暖的阳光，是暴风雨后的彩虹。在我幼小的心灵里，我觉得成功承载着我的努力，蕴含着我的开心和快乐，令我回味无穷，我非常享受成功的感觉。

我的脑海里一直有一件让我印象深刻的事情，记得那是两年前的“五一”节，我和我的队友们来到萍乡，参加了江西省第二届轮滑公开赛。赛前，吴教练为了让我们具备最好的状态参赛，对我们进行了密集的魔鬼训练，50圈100圈的跑是常态，队服干了湿，湿了又干;脸上的汗水，眼角的泪水，已经分不清了，但是所有的队友都坚持了下来，没有一个说放弃的。

终于等来了期待已久的比赛。女子少儿组5000米组别的比赛马上要开始了，扩音器里报了我的名字，同时出现的还有我的老对手--邓欣晨。只见她一边做着赛前热身，一边用凶狠的眼神扫视着我和队友，好像在说：“等着瞧吧，我一定要把你们南昌超音速杀个片甲不留!”邓欣晨是位很有实力的选手，我以前跟她交过几次手，我的体力耐力是不如她的。虽然我心里有些害怕，但是我表面上装出镇定自若的样子，心里安慰自己：我也有我自己的优点，妈妈说我是比赛型的选手，比赛状态好，发挥稳定，不容易摔跤。这样想着，我心里的害怕就消除了许多。

随着一声枪响，比赛开始了。大家像离弦的箭，争先恐后;又似猛虎出山，虎视眈眈地都想占据内道最好的位置。几圈下来，邓欣晨已经遥遥领先了。就在邓欣晨弯道又想超我的队友玥玥的时候，脚底下被玥玥绊一下，两个人同时失去重心，狠狠地摔在了地上。我赶紧抓住这个千载难逢的机会，绕过她们，从她们旁边滑了过去，并且一直保持在领先的位置。最后，我赢得了这场比赛。

通过这场比赛，我懂得了一个道理：如果你暂时落后了，也不要轻易放弃，要奋起直追，坚持到最后一刻，机会永远都留给那些有准备的人!

俗话说：“台上三分钟，台下十年功”。一份付出一份收获，我还要继续刻苦训练，争取在下一场比赛中，用自己真正的实力去赢得比赛，成为真正的赢家!

connection between hard-work and luck, which is though sometimes we have worked

so hard, luck occupies great position, the unexpected things happen and refrain

us from succeeding. In order to be successful, people work so hard, they believe

they can achieve their goals, but lacking luck stops them achieving their goals.

So working hard doesn’t mean bringing people success directly, they just need to

try more times, without luck, they still can make their goals. Luck can help

people close to success, without hard-work, they can’t be successful. Hard-work

and luck make people realize their goals, but without luck, people still can

make it by trying more times.

生活中，大多数时候我们都要通过语言与他人沟通，这也就使得我们在与人交往时产生了两种角色——发言者和聆听者。这两种角色你更喜欢哪一个呢?我想，大多数人都会更喜欢做一名发言者，因为这样就可以在交往中痛快地将自己的意思表达出来，让他人来跟随自己的思想。想一下，在一场辩论中，以自己滔滔的言论来压倒对方是意见多么痛快淋漓的事啊!可是，我认为做一名倾听者比做一位发言者更为重要，我们应当学会倾听，享受倾听。

或许你认为做一名倾听者总是比当主导的发言者逊色一筹。可并不是这样的，并不是只有滔滔不绝的言论才能体现出你的才思敏捷，倾听更是一门艺术，对他人发言的认真耐心的倾听更能体现出你的素养。一个真正聪明的人是一位懂得倾听的人。

懂得倾听，可以让我们获取更多的知识。一个人的能力是很小的，一个人所能获得的知识也是有限的。可如果我们学会倾听，我们就可以时刻从他人那里获得知识，这样的知识就是无限的了。听到农民伯伯说的一句农谚，探究下去就是一种自然科学现象;听到电视里面说到某个新名词，研究下去就可能有新的发现。所以我们应当学会倾听生活，学会捕捉生活里的知识。

倾听并不只是局限于这里，还有很多内容值得我们倾听。比如我们的大自然，倾听自然，倾听汩汩的流水，倾听潺潺的清泉，让纯净的流水声荡涤我们的心灵，它能洗掉城市生活中的喧闹，它能去除积在心上的尘埃。倾听鸟叫，倾听虫鸣，让自己的心灵回归到自然的质朴中，让心灵做一次深呼吸。

学会倾听吧，倾听让你懂得深尊重，倾听让你善于交流，倾听让你忘却烦恼，倾听让你的生活更加美好!
