The following reasons can account for the above phenomenon. Firstly, traditional technologies are always considered ineffective while the new sciences are always highly efficient. Thirdly, modern science and technology facilitate both our daily and academic life a lot. During the Spend a Summer Day and Spend a Summer Evening events in June, July, and August, participants can meet staff and current students, and find out all they need to know about admissions, financial aid and student life. Opportunities to tour the campus are available and a free lunch and entertainment are provided. The first Spend a Summer Day program is a weekend event slated from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 20. Adult learners who cant make it during the day due to work commitments may spend a summer evening on campus from 6:30-9:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 30.

The final Spend a Summer Day is a weekday event, set from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 6.

firstly,i decide to try my best to learn english .because my english so poor that it affects my other subject.i willface many differences ,such as broadening my vocabulary, training my listening ,improving my write and so on. i must work hard because i dont want to behind the times.

一、明确学习目的。只有明确为什么要学，懂得学习的重要性，才能激发自身的潜能，积极的去学习。

二、学习方法要因人而异。由于每个人的性格不同，学习方法也将各尽不同。只能靠自己一步步的去摸索，适合自己的就吸取，不适合的就摒弃。

三、重视专业基础知识。正如一座再高的大厦，不挖好奠基石是永远无法建造的。同时，更应该多看一些课外书籍，多跑跑图书馆，拓展自己的视野创新自己的见解，达到与专业知识的融会贯通，相辅相成。最为重要的是要加强理论与实践相结合，提高自己的实践能力。

My teacher gave me an assignment "experience life" last week. I had been thinking how to finish it because I had never done any thing by myself before.

Mother was out today. It was a good chance to complete the assignment. Seeing the barrel was empty, I decided to fetch water from the well.

I took the empty barrel and went towards the well outside the yard. It snowed yesterday, so the alley was very slippery. A layer of thickice was frozen on the platform of the well. I was frightened by the sight, but I gathered my courage to walk towards it.

The alley was so slippery that I walked with difficultly. Suddenly, I slipped and fell down, water in the barrel totally poured down on the ground. I stepped on the platform carefully. After standing steadily and squatting down slowly, I hooked the barrel at the end of the rope and put the rope down slowly. I made an effort to drag the barrel up after it was filled with water. I was very careful because it was easy to slip and fall. Then, I carried the barrel of water and returned to my house. My figners were frozen stiff. I realized my effort was in vain. I hated myself.

I failed to finish the assignment but I did experience life through a trifle which seemed easy but difficult to do well. Such was my first experience of life.
