The 9th day of the 9th lunar month is the traditional Chongyang Festival, or Double Ninth Festival. It usually falls in October in the Gregorian calendar. In an ancient and mysterious book Yi Jing, or The Book of Changes, number 6 was thought to be of Yin character, meaning feminine or negative, while number 9 was thought to be Yang, meaning masculine or positive. So the number nine in both month and day create the Double Ninth Festival, or Chongyang Festival. Chong in Chinese means double. Also, as double ninth was pronounced the same as the word to signify forever, both are Jiu Jiu, the Chinese ancestors considered it an auspicious day worth celebration. The height people will reach is usually a mountain or a tower. Ancient literary figures have left many poems depicting the activity. On this day, people will eat Double Ninth Gao (or Cake). In Chinese, gao (cake) has the same pronunciation with gao (height). People do so just to hope progress in everything they are engaged in. The heavy rain lasted three hours and stopped when the class was over. The air was so fresh and the sky was so clear. I felt like a new man myself.

五月初五，是我国传统节日之一，叫端午节，是非常有纪念的日子。每年的端午节我们都包粽子，我们一起挂艾叶，其中我印象最深的是吃粽子。

每年端午节外婆都会包美味可口的肉粽子，我就在旁边看着外婆包粽子，她准备了新鲜的竹叶，一大盆调好酱油的糯米和猪肉。先把两片竹叶叠在一起，弯折成一个漏斗形，像一个锥形，接下来就可以把糯米倒进里面，用用压实糯米。然后，夹一起猪肉，放在中间，接着放一层糯米，叠上粽叶的尾巴，像有很多面的三角体。最后，用草绳把做好的粽子结结实实地捆绑好，不让一粒粒糯米跑出来。外婆把粽子放进锅里煮1个小时。时间到了，一阵香喷喷的香味飘到满屋都是，外婆把粽子端出来放桌面上，我们兄弟姐妹一起品尝着外婆的劳动成果，我一口咬下去，黏黏的，好吃极了，心里充满了能量。

今年，我想去外婆家，跟她学包粽子，我和外婆比比看谁包的粽子既好吃，又好看。我喜欢端午节，因为我爱吃粽子，妈妈都叫我“粽皇”，嘻嘻!你们喜不喜欢端午节呢?

过除夕

大年三十是除夕,这天家家户户喜气洋洋，灯火辉煌。

一大早，大人们开始忙上忙下地为年夜饭做准备，妈妈和奶奶杀鸡、杀鸭，爷爷和爸爸贴春联、打米粿……中午，爸爸和爷爷带上打好的米粿、鸡和鸭去祠堂祭拜祖先，祈求来年我们一家平平安安，一帆风顺。

晚上，开始吃年夜饭了，我去帮忙分碗筷。爷爷提醒我多分几个碗筷，而且不可以空着。我分完碗筷，爷爷就往碗里夹了鸡肉、鸭肉或倒入红酒，我觉得很奇怪就问爷爷：“我们家没那么多人，放那么多碗筷要干什么呢?”爷爷笑咪咪地对我说：“老祖宗们会回来吃的。”年夜饭中有几道必不可少的菜，比如鱼表示年年有余， 炒米粉表示长长久久，红蛋和红酒表示年年红……长辈们相互举杯饮酒，小孩们喝着果汁 ，真是其乐融融。

吃完年夜饭，我和弟弟跑到楼下， 一人拿着一个“仙女下凡”烟花棒，让爸爸帮我们用打火机点上火，“嗞……”烟花一下子被点燃了，我们挥舞着烟花棒跳啊转啊，烟花棒的火光映红了我们的脸颊，我们的脸上露出了灿烂的笑容。只听见“轰”的一声巨响，邻居点燃的一颗烟花弹升到了空中，在一瞬间爆炸了，那爆炸了的烟花仿佛是一朵美丽的莲花在空中展开了花瓣。 一声声响亮的爆竹声，一朵朵光芒四射、灿烂无比的烟花，在天空中飞舞，各式各样，五光十色，把天空点缀成一个花坛，顿时变得光彩夺目。

啊 ，多么喜庆的日子呀! 这是一个全国人民团圆的日子，这是一个小孩子们最开心的日子——我们又长大了一岁。

今天，我要与爸爸、妈妈去汉中游玩了，我非常地高兴与兴奋。吃完早饭后就踏上了去汉中的旅途。经过4个半小时的车程，终于到达了目的地：汉中。爸爸带我们到他已经订好的酒店入住，我们把东西一放，简单的吃了个午饭，又上路了。我们这次的目的地是——石门栈道。

到了“石门栈道”走进大门后，我们来到“石门文化广场”，那里有很多关于三国时期人物的雕塑与三国故事的绘画，妈妈还给我读了一篇故事呢！我看到的人物有：刘备、诸葛亮等等。我们继续前行来到石门水库大坝脚下，看到了古代“石门栈道”的遗迹。那条路修在山崖边，路途出山崖，下面就是江水，我真怕它垮下来。我想：古人修这条栈道应该很辛苦吧！

我们开始向山上爬，准备到水库上去看看。途中我看到了一个活动项目，这个项目是通过滑锁，可以让人从峡谷的一边飞到另一边。我觉得这个项目很刺激，就想去尝试一下好不好玩，于是就与爸爸、妈妈一起去玩。爸爸先过去，我在中间，妈妈在最后，一个一个的飞过去。一滑出山边的平台，就看到了深深的峡谷，我想如果人掉下去肯定没有命了，我害怕我会掉下去，我就使劲的尖叫个不停，滑过去后我觉得这个项目真的很刺激，我以后有机会还会再来玩。

石门栈道那有一座石门水库，我们顺着山边爬到大坝上，感觉到了微微的凉风，突然一片湖面出现在我的眼前，爸爸说：“真是高峡出平湖。”我问道：“什么是高峡出平湖？” 爸爸就一点一点地给我解释。玩完了以后，我们就回家了。今天，我感到很高兴，因为我学到了很多的知识。

放学了，看到大门外的妈妈，我心里偷偷的乐了，因为我有一个小秘密。星期天，我早早的起了床，匆匆的吃了一口妈妈为我准备好的饭菜，和妈妈说了一声“我有点事”，就跑了出去。我一口气跑到花店，拿出我一个星期攒的五元钱，对老板说：“我想买一束花给妈妈!”老板笑着说：“好懂事的孩子，给你，这是一束康乃馨。”我偷偷的溜进家门，望着正在忙碌的妈妈，双手捧着那束康乃馨走到妈妈面前说：“妈妈，今天是母亲节，祝您节日快乐!”妈妈望着花有些哽咽的说：“傻孩子!”说完就把我抱在怀里。看着妈妈那高兴地脸，我心里想：“妈妈，我想天天祝您节日快乐!”
