We are all familiar with the abuses of technology. Many people blame

technology itself for widespread pollution, resource depletion and even social

decay in general--so much so that the promise of technology is obscured. That

promise is a cleaner and healthier world. If wise applications of science and

technology do not lead to a better world, what else will?

三十岁的我，回到了我的故乡，看见大道两边都铺上了绿油油的草坪。原来用沙子铺的路，都变成了柏油路，路上车水马龙、人来人往。街道的两边都是一座座高大的楼房，每座楼房都有三、四十层。只有一座楼最特殊，远远望去能有六十多层，楼下人潮涌动。我心想：这座楼不能是住宅楼吧!要不是住宅楼，能是什么楼呢?我正在对这座楼感兴趣的时候，忽然听见有人叫我的名字，我回头一看，是年迈的爸爸。爸爸脸上堆满了皱纹，头发白了许多，幸亏我和爸爸经常上网视频聊天，要不是上网视频的话，我都不认识爸爸了。我问：“爸爸，您怎么来了?”爸爸说：“我怕你找不到家，特意来接你的。”我发自内心的说：“爸爸，幸亏你来了，家乡变化太大了，我真的找不到家了。”我问：“爸爸，那座高大的楼房是干什么的?”爸爸说：“这是当地最豪华的超市，想买什么，到这里几乎都能买到。”我们开始往家走，我一边走，一边看，一路上我看见明渠被填平了，农村的平房都变成了高楼大厦，已经分不清哪里是农村、哪里是城镇。还听爸爸说，又多建了许多小广场，还建了一个游乐场，清河水库里还有儿童游乐园，游乐园里的游戏很多：射击、打飞镖、套圈、碰碰车、激光战船……

我的家乡在马良镇一个小山村，依山傍水，四季分明。那里春天鲜花盛开，夏天绿树成荫，秋天鲜果飘向，冬天白雪一片。
