A folk culture is a small isolated, cohesive, conservative, nearly self-sufficient group that is homogeneous in custom and race with a strong family or clan structure and highly developed rituals. Order is maintained through sanctions based in the religion or family and interpersonal. Relationships are strong. Tradition is paramount, and change comes infrequently and slowly. There is relatively little division of labor into specialized duties. Rather, each person is expected to perform a great variety of tasks, though duties may differ between the sexes. Most goods are handmade and subsistence economy prevails. Individualism is weakly developed in folk cultures as are social classes. Unaltered folk cultures no longer exist in industrialized countries such as the United States and Canada. Perhaps the nearest modern equivalent in Anglo America is the Amish, a German American farming sect that largely renounces the products and labor saving devices of the industrial age. In Amish areas, horse drawn buggies still serve as a local transportation device and the faithful are not permitted to own automobiles. The Amish＇s central religious concept of Demut "humility", clearly reflects the weakness of individualism and social class so typical of folk cultures and there is a corresponding strength of Amish group identity. Rarely do the Amish marry outside their sect. The religion, a variety of the Mennonite faith, provides the principal mechanism for maintaining order.

By contrast a popular culture is a large heterogeneous group often highly individualistic and a pronounced many specialized professions. Secular institutions of control such as the police and army take the place of religion and family in maintaining order, and a money-based economy prevails. Because of these contrasts, "popular" may be viewed as clearly different from "folk". The popular is replacing the folk in industrialized countries and in many developing nations. Folk-made objects give way to their popular equivalent, usually because the popular item is more quickly or cheaply produced, is easier or time saving to use or leads more prestige to the owner.

春节是我了解的最能代表中国文化的节日，也是我最喜欢的节日之一。

首先，我喜欢吃！中国美食是中国文化的一部分。中国菜好吃，特别对我的胃口。新年那几天，我妈妈会去买或做很多好吃又吉祥的中国美食，比如：象征“年年有余”的鱼，“团团圆圆”的汤圆，“长命百岁”的长寿面，“年年高”的年糕，当然还有我最最喜欢的“招财进宝”的饺子，其次，我喜欢钱！春节的一个习俗拿红包是非常开心的事情。我从很小开始，每年过年都会去跟爸爸妈妈说：“恭喜发财，红包拿来”，他们每次都会笑着给我一个红包。说两句好听的话就有钱拿，这个传统太好了。除了有好吃的，有钱拿。春节还有喜庆热闹的春节晚会可以看。每年的春晚有最优美的舞蹈，最好听的歌曲，还有超高难度的杂技表演。可惜的是我看不太懂小品和相声类的节目。

话说，发现这个奇迹的，还是在1974年西杨村村民抗旱挖水井时，发现水井坑下有许许多多的陶瓦碎片才挖出来的，经考古工作者的发掘，才揭开了这个世界最大的地下军事博物馆。现可以观赏的只有一、二、三号三个坑，另外就是铜车马的博物馆。

我们继续拾级而上，来到一片开满野花，香气扑鼻的“花园”。各种各样，五颜六色的花朵隐居在密密麻麻的草丛中，偶尔可以看到一丝丝颜色在草丛中，这些花朵鲜嫩而娇艳。在花儿的世界里，唯有盛开在野外的花有一种独特的神韵，它们经历了风吹日晒，风吹雨打，地之灵气，使这种花儿传递给人的是春天的美的和振奋向上的感觉。

这就是我喜爱的黄山。

My name is Li Haiqing. I am a local person who is 21years old. Iam from chongqing and I am of the opinion that my hometown is a beautiful city.

Moreover, I would like to say something about my family. I have my mother ,my father,and my elder sisther,they love me very much,I know my parents have so much hops and dreams for me。So I must study well.

In spare time, I like reading books, surfing on the Internet, listening to music like, classic, or light music, because they can make me feel relaxed. 此外，我想谈谈我的家庭。我有我的母亲，我的父亲，还有我的姐姐，他们非常爱我，我知道我的父母有很多的希望和梦想，所以我必须好好学习。

我有信心，因为我有这样的能力!我善良，有耐心，外向，有创造力。我是一个勤奋的学生，特别是做我感兴趣的事情。不管有多困难，我都要尽力解决任何问题。我一直相信一个人如果不继续学习就很容易落后。

我国文化丰富多彩。有剪纸。有贴窗花。有包粽子。有吃馄饨………。不过，我最喜欢的不是这些，要说我最喜欢的吗？就是中国结了。

中国结五颜六色。：有红的。有桃红的。有蓝的。有黄的。还有绿的……。中国结千姿百态：有三角的。有方的。有棱的。有圆的……。中国结有各种各样的动物花样：牛。虎。鱼。龙。马。猪……。中国结还有各种各样的含意：“牛”的表示牛气冲天；“虎”的表示虎虎生威；“鱼”的表示年年有余；“龙”的表示龙腾虎跃。

看啊！人们有时把中国节挂在餐厅，红红的，代表着兴旺。有时把中国节挂到车里，飘飘的，代表着吉祥和安康。有时把中国节挂在房间里，喜喜的，代表着福气。有时把中国节挂在门上，静静的，多像思念和祝愿！

我喜欢看花灯，因为它十分美丽。我喜欢吃汤圆，因为它包含着团圆。我更喜欢中国结，因为它象征着中国的团结，和谐。我愿我的祖国，更加美好，更加强大！

一把普普通通的剪刀，一张普普通通的彩纸，却能剪出一幅构思奇妙的艺术作品，虽然表面上平平常常，但从剪纸中，却能看出一些寓意。这就是咱们中国“艺术之塔”上的一颗明珠-剪纸！

瞧！这幅剪纸作品多么有趣啊！一个身着民族服装的活泼小男孩，他真在用力地拉着两头小骆驼，他的神情十分认真。围绕在这幅剪纸旁的是一片绿色的草地，草的上有着美丽的蝴蝶和可爱的小鸟，他们在美丽的夕阳下快乐地嬉戏。我还给这幅剪纸编了一个小故事呢！

从前，有个可怜的小男孩，他一出世，就失去了父亲，只好和母亲相依为命！他的家里十分贫穷，由于没有足够的经费供他上学，他从小就为富人放骆驼。早晨，太阳和他一起把骆驼拉去草的上吃草；傍晚，夕阳伴随着他一起把骆驼送回家。太阳看这个小男孩太可怜了，就将充足的阳光照射在他的身上，消除了他心中的阴影；同时，因为这里的阳光十分充足，也吸引了蝴蝶和小鸟来这里嬉戏！

我是一名小学生，生活条件自然要比他好的多，我也要像他一样有一颗乐观的心，不和别人攀比。

汉字，是祖先留给我们的一笔辉煌的文化遗产，保护和开发这一宝藏，我们责无旁贷。它们是中华民族的代表，是中华民族的精髓，是中华民族的骄傲！

汉字使我们人类的文化得到延续，是它使得我们中华民族得以发展，它们各有独自的魅力。每个字都有自己的特点，当你写下一个个汉字时，仿佛身临其境。他们像一群变化多端的小精灵，时而轻于鸿毛时而重于泰山，时而飘若游丝时而娇若惊鸿。

汉字和别的国家的文字比起来拥有较为悠久的历史，从甲骨文到金文从隶书到楷书。

现在大多数人都在学英语，可那二十六个字母并不具有汉字所具有的感情。

汉字培育的中国古老的文化，不管这块东方的土地上有多少种不同的语言，但这汉字却论为了这群羊羔的领头羊，汉字的发展源远长流，每次每句都有一个动人的故事我们每天在汉字的海洋里遨游怎能让汉字文化的根基流失，损害？

汉字直接已经有4000年的历史，是世界上使用人口最多的汉字，别看它只是一个普普通通的方块字，组合在一起，就成为一个个不同含义的词组，一篇篇语句优美的文章，一首首抒发情感诗歌，一个个发人深省的故事。看着这些字就像一颗颗星星在纸上闪烁。

汉字书法是一门独特的艺术。古往今来，我国涌现出许多著名书法家王羲之，柳工权，颜真卿，等等这一个个汉字在他们的笔下更能发出无穷的魅力！呈现出不同的风韵，各种各样的书法字体有着不同的特点。

中国汉字是我们华夏民族几千年的瑰宝，也是我们终身的良师益友，每个人的精神家园。天地万物，只有语言文字是永远存在的，我们的汉字集形体声音和辞义三者于一体，它的独特魅力，是永远不可能改变，也是无可替代的。

汉字文化博大精深，歇后语，字谜，绕口令，等等等等。绕口令里用了汉字的读音来锻炼舌头的灵活度，所以我天天有事儿没事儿就不由自主的说起绕口令来。

汉字是我们生活中不可缺少的一部分，瞧！街头的广告牌上，眼前的书上，到处都有汉字的足迹。读书，写作，文化，语言说没有汉字这一切，从何谈起？

汉字的悠久历史，每前进一步都凝结着中华民族的心血，汉字是中华民族是龙的传人凝聚的核心！

现在社会已经进入科技化，只要用电脑，无论什么字都能打出来，不用花大力气去学习汉字，汉子已经落后，而我认为汉字是人类从古代流传至今的无价之宝，是中华民族独有的书法瑰宝，抛弃汉字，就等于把汉字拥有2000多年历史，生命给扼杀掉。

所以，我们应该让汉字流传下去，而不是让汉字文化失传。

Chengdu City Chengdu, the capital city of Sichuan province in China, has been recognized as “the land of abundance” for a long time. With rich cultural heritage, Chengdu is one of the most popular destinations for tourists in China. People who once step onto the land of Chengdu city will quickly fall in love with life there. It seems that Chengdu people are living a happy life with less pressure from their occupation, family or from the conflict social competition. Children, for example, can enjoy the child-only facilities in the parks. They can play with peers and make friends with each other. For teenagers and adults, the various entertainment places and snack streets are indispensable part of their life. The first day is for the welcoming of the deities of the heavens and earth, officially beginning at midnight. Many people, especially Buddhists, abstain from meat consumption on the first day because it is believed that this will ensure longevity for them. Some consider lighting fires and using knives to be bad luck on New Years Day, so all food to be consumed is cooked the day before. For Buddhists, the first day is also the birthday of Maitreya Bodhisattva (better known as the more familiar Budai Luohan), the Buddha-to-be. People also abstain from killing animals.

Most importantly, the first day of Chinese New Year is a time when families visit the oldest and most senior members of their extended family, usually their parents, grandparents or great-grandparents.

Some families may invite a lion dance troupe as a symbolic ritual to usher in the Lunar New Year as well as to evict bad spirits from the premises. Members of the family who are married also give red packets containing cash to junior members of the family, mostly children and teenagers.

While fireworks and firecrackers are traditionally very popular, some regions have banned them due to concerns over fire hazards, which have resulted in increased number of fires around New Years and challenged municipal fire departments work capacity. For this reason, various city governments (e.g., Hong Kong, and Beijing, for a number of years) issued bans over fireworks and firecrackers in certain premises of the city. As a substitute, large-scale fireworks have been launched by governments in cities like Hong Kong to offer citizens the experience.

今天，烟雨迷蒙，天阴阴的，大家的车，行驶在一条蜿蜒的小路上，大家要去一位细纹刻纸大师家学习，这位大师胜名叫周是一，他家住在风景秀丽的西山水库旁边。

一走进他家，“哇，这简直就不是人的家，分明是细纹刻纸的天堂。”墙上挂着一幅美如画的作品，有：鸳鸯溪、出类拔萃、还有雁荡山的美景。桌子上放着用细纹刻纸做的12生肖的书法，都是仿造卡通做的，真是栩栩如生。客厅里，沙发垫、杯垫、抱枕也都是用细纹刻纸的衍生品。就他家的马桶，都有细纹刻纸的图案呢!

上课了，周老师向大家介绍撕纸、烧纸、剪纸刻纸都算细纹刻纸。其中、细纹刻纸最难，它可以在一寸见方的纸面可出50条线，其纹样细如发丝，可随性地刻出各种图案。

下面，周老师就让大家来动手，体验一下用手撕纸，只见周老师三五两下就撕出了一条活波讨人喜欢的小鱼。大家见了羡慕不已，下面就要发挥我的奇思妙想，结果，大家撕出的鱼大小不一，形态各异，林正邦还撕了“双鱼”呢!

我喜欢如此有意义的课余生活。下次，我还要去探索更多非物质文化遗产。
