The fair will attract a huge crowd from the entire school, who are to sell, purchase and exchange their second-hand books with their peers.

As a regular visitor, I’ve found myself increasingly attracted by the fair. For one thing, the fair exhibits books of hundreds of types on diverse topics, motivating us to further develop our reading habits and help to broaden our horizons. 古时候，有一个人叫舜，他的母亲很早的时候就去世了。父亲又给他娶了一个后母，后母生了一个儿子叫象。父亲一直听后母和象的话，经常打他、骂他，让他做很多的脏活、累活。但舜从无怨言。当时的皇上想要找继承人，问大臣们有没有好的人选。有位大臣向皇上推荐了舜，说他是一个有名的孝子。于是皇上召见了舜并把他的两个女儿嫁给了舜，还送给舜好多的粮食。舜回到家后，弟弟象很嫉妒他。就和父亲母亲商量想要杀了舜。舜的妻子听见了连忙告诉了舜。舜听了后说我会注意的。

有一天，父亲对舜说。我年纪大了，行动不方便。粮仓上面破了个洞，你上去修修吧。孝顺的舜二话不说就爬到粮仓上去修补。突然，舜感觉不对劲，一看粮仓着火了。他冷静的拿出两个斗笠，戴到胳膊上，从粮仓上跳了下来。原来，是他的弟弟象用火点燃了粮仓想要烧死他。还有一次，父亲让舜去挖井。等舜挖到很深的时候，父亲和象就往井里填土，想要把舜埋到井里。聪明的舜早有准备，从自己提前挖好的地道逃回了家。善良孝顺的舜并没有因此记恨和报复他的父母兄弟，而是默默地忍受下了这一切。他的行为连上天都被感动了，皇上也把皇位传给了舜。

中国的传统文化可多啦，如舞龙、捏泥人、皮影戏。今天我要介绍的是——剪纸。

从古至今，剪纸已经有一千多年的历史了，剪纸的种类也很多，如窗花、喜花、鞋花、剪纸团花等，每次过节过年，人们都要剪一些“福”、“喜”来表示庆祝。

课堂上，老师也给我们欣赏了许多的剪纸，有金蛇狂舞、神龙摆尾、醉八仙。

先说，“鸳鸯戏水”吧，只见有两只鸳鸯梳着整齐的羽毛，在平静的湖上照着“镜子”呢，湖面上还有花藤在帮她梳理头发呢，湖水下的水草再给它们挠脚心呢，真有意思。

最有趣的是，“猛虎下山”，只见一只凶猛的老虎翘起尾巴竖直汗毛，好像有什么把它给惹怒了。

China is the biggest family with 56 ethnic groups. Among them, the Han

Chinese is the largest and the most highly developed group. The Han Chinese can

be found in many parts of China. They mainly live in the north plain region, the

middle and the lower reaches of Yangze River and Pearl River Deltas. The other

55 groups are the minority ethnic groups. They are distributed in the

mountainous areas of southwest and northwest of China.

Being too far away from big cities, the minority ethnic groups are poor in

economy and there people are not well-educated. They have very few

understandings of science and technology. So they must develop their

economy.

To help the people of the minority ethnic groups live better, the

government should take some effective measures. For one thing, more and more

knowledgeable undergraduates should be encouraged to those poor areas to help

the people there to get rid of their poverty. For another, the advanced science

and technology must be introduced into the minority ethnic groups to improve

their living conditions. More importantly, people of the minority ethnic groups

should be given equal opportunities to study and work. Only so will China be

more prosperous in the future.

广州——美味的食城。暑假里，妈妈带着我来到广州，开启了吃货之旅。

一下飞机，一股强大的热浪朝我扑来，让我真切感受到了广州的热情。刚出机场，一场暴雨又突袭而来，我们急忙钻入一辆出租车。雨点滴滴答答地打着车窗，就像在演奏着一首交响曲，迎接着我们的到来。过了一会儿，画面一下子清晰了，这边地面竟是干的，真神奇！司机叔叔笑着说：“广州的夏天就是这样，刚刚还是晴空万里，一会儿就狂风暴雨，有时桥头下雨桥尾晴，这老天啊，你根本猜不透它的心思！”

广州的小吃和甜品也是很有名的，我和妈妈来到上下九步行街。这里真是美食家的天堂啊！美食排满了几条街，想吃多少吃多少！我和妈妈来到一家肠粉店，光滑而晶莹剔透的肠粉大肚子里装满了牛肉和鲜虾，最后，再“画龙点睛”，洒上酱油。尝一口，肠粉皮Q弹Q弹的，很有嚼劲，牛肉鲜虾馅香喷喷，真是美味极了！饭后，怎么能少了一份甜品呢？我点了一份“香芒雪糕船”，香芒特有的香味配上解暑神器——雪糕，吃着可带劲了！

i like to read english story books in my free time. sometimes i surf the internet and download the e- books to read. reading e- books is fun. in addition, it also enlarges my vocabulary words because of the advanced technology and the vivid animations.

i hope to study both english and computer technology because i am interested in both of the subjects. maybe one day i could combine both of them and apply to my research in the future.
