说到端午节，大家一定都知道。

端午节有很多风俗，像吃粽子、赛龙舟、戴五丝线、吃“五黄”等。

说到粽子，我可是很喜欢。我见到的粽子有两种，一种是竹叶粽，一种是竹筒粽。馅儿也是多种多样的，有红枣馅的，豆沙馅的，有香米馅的，有糯米馅的，有八宝粥馅的，这些馅都是粘粘的，吃在嘴里又香又甜，好吃得很！恐怕你馋得都要流口水了吧！

我听家长说，端午节还有一个故事呢。楚国时期，当时正是 五月初五 ，屈原因受冤枉，抱着石头跳进了汨罗江。当地百姓听到这个消息后，划船去搭救，可是打捞了半天都没捞到。他们怕鱼虾吃了屈原的尸体，就在汨罗江上划龙船、丢粽子，引开鱼虾。

后来，人们为了纪念屈原这位伟大的爱国人士，一直把赛龙船、吃粽子的习俗延续到今天。

TheDragonBoatFestivaloccurs on the fifth day of the fifth moon of the lunar calendar(阴历). It is one of the three most important of the annual Chinese festivals. The other two are the Autumn Moon Festival and Chinese New Year.

The story of this colorful festival concerns a famous Chinese scholar-statesman(政治家) named Chu Yuan(屈原) who, some three centuries before the birth of Christ, served the King of Chu(楚怀王)during the Warring States period. As a loyal minister(大臣), Chu Yuan at first enjoyed the full confidence and respect of his sovereign(君主). Eventually, through the intrigues of his rivals, he was discredited(不足信的, 不名誉的).

Chu Yuan was never able to regain(恢复) the emperors favor and on the fifth day of the fifth moon in the year 295 B.C.(Before Christ), at the age of 37, Chu Yuan clasped a stone to his chest and plunged into the Milo River(汨罗江) in the Hunan Province(湖南省).

Respecting the minister as an upright(正直的) and honest man, the people who lived in the area jumped into their boats and rushed out in a vain search for him. This unsuccessful rescue attempt is a part of what the Dragon Boat Festival commemorates every year.

Probably the most exciting and interesting aspect of the festival is the racing of the Dragon Boats. These races not only symbolize the peoples attempt to save Chu Yuan, they also demonstrate the Chinese virtues(美德) of cooperation and teamwork.

Another activity of the Festival is the making and eating of a kind of dumpling called Tzungtzu (粽子). When it became known that Chu Yuan was gone forever, the people, living along the river, threw cooked rice into the water as a sacrifice(祭品) to their dead hero. They wrapped(包) rice in bamboo leaves(粽叶), and stuffed(填满) it with ham, beans, bean paste(豆沙), salted egg yokes, sausages, nuts, and/or vegetables.

To the Chinese the fifth lunar moon is more than just the Dragon Boat Festival. Since antiquity(古代), they have believed that this month is a pestilential and danger-fraught(瘟疫的及充满危险的) period. Children born in this month are said to be difficult to raise(抚养), and people tend to concentrate their efforts during this time attempting to protect their families from ills and misfortune. The day of the Dragon Boat Festival is customarily the time when cleaning and sanitation(卫生) are stressed(着重, 强调). Most families hang calamus(菖蒲) and artemisia(艾草) above their doors, both as a decoration and as a preventive against pestilence.

Ancient folk medicines(民间药物) such as realgar(雄黄酒)are added to the food eaten on the Festival day. This is believed to prevent disease and to promote a healthy digestive system(消化器官). The drinking of realgar in wine supposedly relieves(解除) the effects of poisons accumulated in human bodies.

The sachets (Hsiang Pao in Chinese香包) are very popular with children and they vie(竞争) with each other to collect as many as possible. Children are not the only ones who collect Hsiang Pao. Older people are often given them as a symbol of respect, and they are highly prized because of the intricate(复杂的) and beautiful embroidery(刺绣) that adorns(装饰) them.

The Dragon Boat Festival is an entertaining and enjoyable event. It gives the observer an opportunity to glimpse a part of the rich Chinese cultural heritage

广州——美味的食城。暑假里，妈妈带着我来到广州，开启了吃货之旅。

一下飞机，一股强大的热浪朝我扑来，让我真切感受到了广州的热情。刚出机场，一场暴雨又突袭而来，我们急忙钻入一辆出租车。雨点滴滴答答地打着车窗，就像在演奏着一首交响曲，迎接着我们的到来。过了一会儿，画面一下子清晰了，这边地面竟是干的，真神奇！司机叔叔笑着说：“广州的夏天就是这样，刚刚还是晴空万里，一会儿就狂风暴雨，有时桥头下雨桥尾晴，这老天啊，你根本猜不透它的心思！”

粤菜是中国八大菜系之一，我和妈妈来到广州米其林一星餐厅——炳胜。我们点了白切清远鸡、水鬼重豆腐、叉烧拼盘……瞧！这摆盘精致的叉烧拼盘价值可不菲，258每份！棕红色的外表，配上雪花般的白糖和提味的酱汁，味道一定会好极了！我夹起一块黑叉烧，放入口中，啊，好有嚼劲！有点甜，有点咸，又有点肥，真过瘾啊！

广州的小吃和甜品也是很有名的，我和妈妈来到上下九步行街。这里真是美食家的天堂啊！美食排满了几条街，想吃多少吃多少！我和妈妈来到一家肠粉店，光滑而晶莹剔透的肠粉大肚子里装满了牛肉和鲜虾，最后，再“画龙点睛”，洒上酱油。尝一口，肠粉皮Q弹Q弹的，很有嚼劲，牛肉鲜虾馅香喷喷，真是美味极了！饭后，怎么能少了一份甜品呢？我点了一份“香芒雪糕船”，香芒特有的香味配上解暑神器——雪糕，吃着可带劲了！

广州的美食还有很多很多，下次我还要再来，吃遍所有美食！

暑假的一天，我和家人来到了美丽的颐和园。

刚踏入颐和园的大门，映入眼帘的是一个水平如镜的大湖——昆明湖。我迫不及待的跑到湖边，突然，一阵风吹来，凉丝丝的，湖里的水也微微荡起了波纹。湖里的荷花一朵一朵的盛开着，小鱼游来游去，美丽极了。

湖的旁边有一个亭子，可以供游客休息。湖的前面是一排排古柳，我和家人手拉手把一棵最大的古柳围了起来，这树可真够粗的。

接着我们来到了世界闻名的十七孔桥。桥的两旁都蹲着两座石狮子，它们被工匠雕刻地栩栩如生，非常威风。十七孔桥全身都是白色的，弧形的桥身。十七孔桥，这名字就知道有十七个孔。

桥的对面是十里长廊，全长有718米，里面的墙上都是五彩缤纷的壁画，有四大名著里《西游记》、《三国演义》、《红楼梦》、《水浒传》，这些故事里的人物形象都展现在墙上，故事情节生动，吸引着人们。

登上昆明山，山上有一个小亭子，俯视颐和园，哇!真是太美了，简直如仙境，看着这水和山、古建筑、花草树木，让人赞不绝口。

我喜欢颐和园，它给我带来了欢乐、让我长了见识，知道了更多的知识。

颐和园真是一个美不胜收的地方。

中华民族有上下五千年的历史，这些历史为我们留下了许许多多的文化遗产，它们或许会给我们带来可歌可泣的英雄故事，或许会让我们了解美丽动人的传说，或许会让我们大开眼界，心中不由得肃然起敬。

可是，随着时间的推移，现代人的生活品质越来越高，而这些文物在一点点消逝。许多人来到景区，随意的乱扔乱吐，甚至在文物上随意刻画“到此一游”，还有的人恶意损坏文物，正是因为现代人类的无知，才会使文化遗产渐渐荒废，成为文化废墟。

我以往看到过这样一则报道。

万里长城上，很多游客将口香糖随地乱吐，每一天地上的口香糖大约有四万多块，清洁工人们要爬上长城，刷子一块一块的清理掉，一个星期下来，光是清洗的工具就花了十几万。看到这些数字，不明白你心里是怎样想的。

还有一次，我到大足石刻游玩，来到千手观音像的地方时，工人们正在修复，导游告诉我们，正是因为游客们的不爱护，才要花很多的人工和金钱去修复它。

同学们，文化遗产是历史留给我们最珍贵的礼物，此刻这些日渐消逝的遗产需要我们去保护。对许多人来说，这不仅仅是一个文化遗产，一个景区，更像是他们的家，他们的亲人，所以，让我们共同行动起来，呼吁身边的人们，保护文物，让它们流传下去。

难道我们要践踏祖宗的智慧，让全中国乃至全世界都看你的笑话吗?难道我们要给后代树立坏榜样吗?

不!这些文化遗产是炎黄子孙共有的精神财富!是一个民族的团体智慧!中国上下五千年历史不能就这样毁于一旦!

Nowadays, there are many kinds of activities for people entertaining in their leisure time, especially in holiday, such as climbing a mountain, having a picnic, holding a party and so on. However, these recreational activities have its advantages but also bring some harmful influences to people’s lives.

First, to some extent, these recreational activities enrich people’s lives. Those who take part in different activities will not be easy to feel lonely or boring in their leisure time and live wonderful lives instead. Second, taking part in some group activities is a good form to strengthen friendships. For example, many students will hold a union to collect their old classmates or friends in winter holiday so that they have a common time to communicate with each other. Last but not least, such activities like climbing a mountain provide a good chance to do exercise.

However, these recreational activities also bring some problems at the same time. For one thing, taking part in too many these activities will increase the burden of themselves or their families because it is inevitable to spend some money in holding these activities. 我们看见了一座吊桥，两边的石杆，上面挂着许多锁，有爱心锁、平安锁、发财所……

大家来到博物馆，这个黑黑的石头脑袋，就是当年喜欢钱的农民，在一个深山里面发现了石像想拿去卖，但是很大很容易被发现，就把石头脑袋给弄了下来，警方得知，大范围的搜查。一些村民也知道了，帮助警方在七天内找到文物，并抓住了偷文物的小偷。

大家看到的正是当年挖出的千手观音，大约有一千多只手，千手观音眼睛微闭，每个手上都有一个小眼睛，有的手上拿着菩萨的水瓶子，有的拿着二郎神的宝剑，有的……金光闪闪，眼花缭乱。

大家来的是睡佛旁，神话里还说，是因为守护了大地的巨人，被儿女施法沉睡，化成石像，他的一只手放在腰上，一只手放在头下，前面还有保护他的几个村民，上面是施法的仙女，栏外的是个池塘，这条龙吐出来的水漫流在这个圆池里，不知道谁要流那儿。

短暂的一天结束了，这次游览不是让我们吃喝玩，而是让我们多看多了解历史文化知识。

自古以来，地理环境在人类发展过程中都起着至关重要的作用，不论是居住生存繁衍还是发展生产。很多学者都提出了地理环境决定论。然而，地理环境对人类和人类社会的影响不能简单地归结为决定或不决定，而应该作全面的认识。中国是一个多山的国家，山地、高原和丘陵约占全国土地总面积的65%，而且我国的地势西高东低，高差悬殊。高山、高原以及大型内陆盆地主要分布在西部，丘陵、平原以及较低的山地多见于东部。中国的大部分领土处于北温带，气候主要有三个特点：季风气候比较明显，大陆性气候强，气候类型多种多样。这些地理环境不断变化，产生复杂的后果，对经济的开发、民族的迁移、人口的增长、文化的传播，以至社会的治乱和王朝的兴衰都起着或大或小的作用，主要就体现在以下几个方面，

一、地理环境对人类和人类社会的影响

地理环境为人类的生产、生存、发展、消亡或离开这个环境提供了物质基础。在地理环境中的一切物质和由物质产生的能量既不能增加，也不会减少，只能是各种形式的转化或传递，除非来自这一环境之外或者离开这一环境。人类的一切活动必须顺应这一环境的内在规律，在此前提下利用这一环境，根据自己的需要进行加速、延缓或制止物质的某些转化和能量的某些传递。然而人类对地理环境的利用从来没有达到极限，不同地区、不同时间的人们对地理环境的利用程度存在着相当悬殊的差异利用的方式也迥然不同，所以产生了如此丰富多彩、千差万别的中国的历史和文化。

二、地理环境对中国文化形成和延续的影响

因为中国得天独厚的地理位置，在新石器时代，黄河中下游地区气候温和，雨量充沛，适宜作物的生长和人类的生活，成为先民生存和繁衍的最适宜的地区，最早形成了大片的农业区。

在中国占主导地位的传统文化，无论是物质的，还是精神的，都是建立在农业生产的基础上的，它们形成于农业区，也随着农业区的扩大而传播。由于中国疆域辽阔，跨纬度大，所以气候的波动一般只影响农业区的南北界，而不会减少它的面积，这就为中国文化的延续提供了稳定的物质基础。

三、地理环境对中国文化多样性的影响

在生产力很低的情况下，地理障碍对人类活动、特别是交通运输的影响要比现在大的多，有时往往起了完全隔绝的作用，例如海洋、大江、高山、沙漠、沼泽、丛林都曾是先民难以逾越的地理障碍。中国的地理环境发杂多样，所以除了农业以外，人们还不得不选择其他生产方式，中国历史上就出现了牧业、狩猎、养殖、捕捞、采集、冶矿、手工业、林业等各种产业，并且成为某些地区的主要产业，形成各地不同的物质基础。与不同的生产方式相适应，各地的社会、政治、行政制度也不相同。也形成了不同的生活方式与思想观念。在衣食住行方面，中国各地历来就存在很大的差别，久而久之就形成各种不同的风俗习惯。

四、地理环境对开放与封闭的影响。

地理环境的开放与封闭是相对的。中国的西北、西南固然是高原、高山、戈壁、

荒漠，但东南却有一万多公里的海岸线，可以通向世界各地。中国历史上确实长期缺乏开放的动力，但从某种意义上说，根本的原因并不是地理障碍的阻隔，而是中国的地理条件过于优越。在西方近代文明兴起之前，中国是东亚乃至当时全世界最强大、最富足的国家，完全可以做到自己自足，无求于人。

中国能够形成了绵延不绝的上下五千年的历史文明和独特的中华文化与地理环境是分不开的。

i"ll tell you an experience of myself happened last week. last thursday our school was tackling something about woking fou study. i wanted to have a try even though i knew the salary was so low and i had little chance,because the students who had the certificate were always thought to have priority to get the job. fortunately i was called at noon and a teacher said to me that she wanted me to work for her and asked if i could change my mind.

at that moment i was so excited that immediately i accepted her idea. but later on,she found me that i"m not a student,so i had little chance and suggest me to get one. then an idea occurred to me that i could call my father and ask him to send me the letter. at the same time i was told that i was admitted to the job and don"t need the certificate.

that time i forgot to remind my father,until the next day he called me that he had posted it and it would arrive in just one day. at that moment i was moved, and even moved into tears, because i knew my father was injured not long before,the process of helping me with the affairs was not so convenient for him.

“爆竹声中一岁除，春风送暖入屠苏”。在一阵阵热闹的爆竹声中，我们又迎来了一个热闹的春节。

吃饺子可是春节重要的习俗，看见妈妈早早开始准备包饺子，我也叫着要学包饺子。在妈妈的指导下，我小心地从冰箱里拿出猪肉和洗好的韭菜、胡萝卜，把它们逐个放在案板上。妈妈拿起菜刀，“嚓、嚓、嚓”全部切成丁，剁成泥，放在碗里，加调料：食用盐、鸡精、胡椒粉、食用油，打2个鸡蛋，然后顺着一个方向搅拌起来——就这样，鲜香美味的肉馅儿做好了。

妈妈拿出饺子皮儿，一边包一边对我说：“现在要包饺子了，一定要记住，必须轻轻的包，不然，饺子皮破了，就白白浪费了，看，像我这样，慢慢来。”

在妈妈的指导下，我将一勺肉馅儿放在饺子皮的中央，用手拿起饺子的一面，像折纸一样，和另一面对齐，然后按压肉馅儿和饺子皮的之间的空隙，我越包越快，一会儿就是一盘，哈哈哈，一个个又圆又胖的饺子，正等着入锅呢!

Depending on personal experience, personality type and emotional concern, we find that some people hold the idea of living in the country, while others prefer living in the city. In my opinion, I prefer the city life, though it has advantages and disadvantages.

First of all, city life is very colorful. City is the center of the surrounding area. So, it is also the most booming place having the best things. There are many great things and wonderful activities in the city, while there isn’t in the country. For example, there are KFC, wonderful shopping mall, delicious food from various places, dancing club, different kinds of activities and so on. We can also learn the culture from all the countries. Despite city life is so wonderful, it still has many disadvantages. Nowadays, with the improvement of people’s living standard, people have more cars and more people come to city, and then the city becomes more and more crowd. As a result, traffic jam emerges, which makes great inconvenience for people to go out. What’s worse, the air pollution becomes serious day by day, which is bad for people’s health.

To sum up, every coin has two sides. Living in the city also has good side and bad aspect. Whether like living in city or not depends on individual thinking. As myself, I like living in city though I know the disadvantage of living in city.

中华文化博大精深。先秦的《诗经》和楚辞、汉赋、唐诗、宋词、元曲，明清的小说……每一个朝代都在文学上取得了非凡的成就，每一个时期都演绎了它最辉煌的一面。中国的戏曲艺术丰富多彩。早在原始社会就已经有了仪式性歌舞，仪式性歌舞到后来发张成为一种歌舞传统。春秋战国时期出现优伶，元杂剧把中国戏曲文化艺术推向成熟……就这样，中国戏曲文化艺术逐渐发展起来。黄梅戏、花鼓戏、昆腔、秦腔、豫剧……这些各具色彩的地方戏为中国戏曲文化注入了活力。

中国文化源远流长。汉字既是世界上最古老的文字之一，又是至今硕果仅存的一种方块表意文字。那一个个充满魅力的方块字，那一捺一撇、一横一竖都展现了汉字的风采。自从有了汉字，就有了书法。中国书法是一门古老的艺术，它伴随着中华劳动人民的智慧。王羲之、颜真卿、柳公权……尽管他们的书体不同，但其书法上的成就非同寻常。书画同源，中国古代绘画具有悠久的历史和独特的风格。唐代是中国绘画史上的鼎盛时期，开创了新纪元。笔墨丹青中国画以其丰富的内涵享誉世界。

中华文化丰富多彩。四大发明、《九章算术》和珠算，《石氏星表》和浑仪，《授时历》和四大农书，《伤寒杂病论》和《本草纲目》，祖冲之和圆周率……这些成果都展示了古代中国人民的勤劳智慧，都为中国文化添上了灿烂辉煌的一笔。长城、颐和园、故宫……处处古迹都是古代劳动人民的智慧思想结晶。

几多辉煌，几多成就。举世闻名的四大发明、悠扬悦耳的戏剧、韵味十足的书画、独特的建筑、优美的诗词……这些都是祖先留给我们的丰厚文化遗产。

今天的文化继承和发扬了古代传统文化底蕴。只有不断适应时代的发展，紧跟历史的潮流，传统文化才能延续下去，并发扬光大。为了让传统文化立足与现代，让独特的中国文化鹤立于世界之林，不仅是继承，而且要批判的继承；不仅要发展，而且要创新的发展。

作为新时代的开拓者，面对中国的传统文化，我们只有取其精华，去其糟粕，才能让世界了解中国，让中国走向世界。

Today is Saturday, the weather is very cool and windy. I wear my T-shirt. I get up at 8:00 in the morning. I eat breakfast at 8:30. At 10 o’clock, I nill go to Xinhua bookstore. It’s near the hospital. How can I get to Xinhua bookstore?

1、 Start from my home, it’s near the Chengshi plaza(广场).

2、 Take the No.11 bus.

3、 Get off at the cinema.

4、 Turn right at the traffic light. There are three lights: red, yellow and green. Red means“Stop”. Yellow means“Wait”.Green means“Go”. In China, drivers drive on the right side of the road. We must remember the traffic rules.

5、 Walk east for five minutes.

6、 Find the white building on the left.

The Xinhua bookstore is opposit to the white building.

生活中的传统文化多种多样：家家户户庆团圆的中秋节，端午节，还有登高望远的九九重阳节。今天，我就说说春节吧！

每年春节家家户户不仅要贴窗花，都要放鞭炮！这是为什么呢？原来，从前有个叫年的怪兽，每年大年三十就来到村子里来危害村民。村民大惊失色，吓得魂飞魄散，却什么办法也没有，只有躲一天是一天，因为年它可以吃掉村子里所有人，搞得村子里人心惶惶。有一年，这个叫年的怪兽又来了，天渐渐黑了，村民吓得逃到了山林里，可是有一位大胆的老人点起火堆，火熊熊烧起，火堆就要灭时，突然一个小孩找到竹节扔进火堆，当年要吃人时，突然火堆发出噼里啪啦的声音，年吓得狼狈得逃走了。年虽然不来了，但人们怕它来，就这样，过年放鞭炮的习俗就这样形成了。

春节的时候，旱晨爸爸用胶水把春联贴到大门上面和两边，上面贴横批。姐姐把福字倒贴在门口，就是预示着福的倒来。

晚上，放完鞭炮，该吃年夜饭了，妈妈从厨房间里端出我喜欢吃的鱼肉，鱼肉表示年年有余，除了鱼，还有红烧排骨，糖醋里脊，可乐鸡翅，丰盛的年夜饭开始了，我们一边吃饭，一边举杯彼此祝福。开始发红包了，奶奶说“只要你们好好学习，除了红包还有别的奖励，发完了压岁钱，我们准时打开电视机，看春节联欢晚会，那美妙的歌曲使人陶醉，那精彩的相声小品，使人哄堂大笑……

我爱过春节，这就是美好的春节习俗，如果每天都这样，那简直是太棒了！我要努力学习，希望每年学习都棒棒的，每年都更上一层楼。
