I think Mid-Autumn Day is an old traditional festival in China. Everybody likes it because its a family get-together. You see it is called"Mid-Autumn Day", so it often comes in September or October. The second legend has it that during the Yuan Dynasty，an underground group led by Zhu Yuan Zang was determined to rid the country of Mongolian dominance. The moon cake was created to carry a secret message. When the cake was opened and the message read，an uprising was unleashed which successfully routed the Mongolians. It happened at the time of the full moon，which，some say，explains why mooncakes are eaten at this time. Mooncakes are usually stamped with Chinese characters indicating the name of the bakery and the type of filling used. Some bakeries will even stamp them with your family name so that you can give personalised ones to friends and family. They are usually presented in boxes of four which indicate the four phases of the moon. Traditional mooncakes are made with melted lard，but today vegetable oil is more often used in the interests of health. Mooncakes are not for the diet-conscious as they are loaded with calories. The best way to wash down one of these sticky cakes is with a cup of Chinese tea，especially Jasmine or Chrysanthemum tea，which aids the digestion.

关于吃月饼这个传统的来历有两个传说。一个是唐朝的神话故事，说的是当时地球被10个太阳包围着。有一天10个太阳同时出现在天空中，巨大的热量几乎把地球烤焦了。多亏一位名叫后羿的神箭手射下了9个太阳，地球才被保住。为了奖励后羿，王母娘娘赐给后羿一种长生不老药，但是王母警告他必须正当使用。然而后羿没有理会王母娘娘的警告，他被名利冲昏了头脑，变成了一个暴君。后羿美丽的妻子嫦娥对他的暴行再也不能袖手旁观，于是她偷走了后羿的长生不老药，飞到月亮上逃避后羿的狂怒。从此就有了关于月宫仙子嫦娥，这个月亮上的美丽女人的传说。

第二个传说讲的是在元朝，朱元璋领导的起义军计划起义来摆脱蒙古族的统治。他们用月饼来传递密信。掰开月饼就可以找到里面的密信，起义军通过这种方式成功的发动了起义，赶走了元朝的统治者。这场起义发生在八月十五之时，于是中秋节吃月饼的习俗便在民间传开来

I am very happy,because the Mid-autumn Festival is coming.During the days,there are manymoon cakes.I love eating moon cake very much.There are various tastes,such as sweet,saltand so on.I like the sweet ones,especially the fruit-filled moon cakes.My parents always buy many for me,because they know I like moon cakes.Besides,moon cake has good moral.Itsymbolizes reunion.When I eat the moon cake,I often think of my big family and my relatives.

This years Mid-Autumn festival, we can be noisy in the home, her aunt with

her sister and brother come to my home for Mid-Autumn festival. At noon,

今年的中秋节,我们家里可热闹了,姑姑带着姐姐和弟弟都来我们家过中秋.中午,奶奶做了一桌丰盛的饭菜,大家高兴的吃了个团圆饭.下午,天气适宜,我们到人民广场去钓鱼,喂鸽子,在我的努力下,还小有收获,钓了两条小金鱼.

晚上,姑姑建议去哥伦布餐厅吃自助,那里有很多好吃的,大家吃的可饱了.夜幕慢慢降临,月亮也露出了笑脸,我们决定到北街去赏月,街上可热闹了,到处充满了节日的气氛,大家脸上都洋溢着幸福的笑容.我们一边赏月,一边往江边走去,不远处,我看见天空中飘着很多孔明灯,姐姐告诉我那是人们通过孔明灯对远方亲人的思念,出于好奇,我们也买了一盏孔明灯,取了一个小火点,孔明灯就慢慢鼓起来了,在风的带动下,升到天空中.天空中的孔明灯越来越多,此时,月亮为了让更多的人看孔明灯的光,就“回家吃月饼”去了.虽然今晚的月亮“偷懒”了,但孔明灯就像一个个月亮照亮着每一个人.江边还有一些人在放莲花灯,各式各样的灯在水中飘动,漂亮极了!

天是农历的8月15日，是我期盼已久的中秋节。为什么是我们期盼已久的中秋节呢？因为我们全家不但可以团聚，还可以吃到香喷喷的月饼。到了晚上我和姥姥、奶奶、妈妈、爸爸、哥哥坐在月亮下，边看着月亮，边品尝着圆圆的月饼。

啊！我突然感觉从我嘴里飘出了一股松仁玉米的味道，原来这是松仁＋玉米味的月饼，于是，我又看了看其他月饼的口味，哇！各种各样的口味，有燕麦葡萄干的、碧玉丝瓜的、蛋黄莲蓉的、五仁的……看得我直流口水，看着圆圆的月亮，吃着各种口味的月饼，我的心里甜丝丝的，好相似蜂蜜流进了我的心里。

回到家，我想把今天赏月的事想记下，于是，我就把那赏月的事记录成了日志，妈妈微笑着说：“这样子，就永远不会忘记这个甜蜜的中秋节了。”说着我们家里便响起了一阵快乐地欢笑声。

Celebrations are held at night with moon cakes playing a predominant role. These are small round tarts baked with different fruit fillings—date, pear,apple and pomegranate among others. People used to lay out a feast with good wine. When the moon was rising in a clear sky ,they would place the moon cakes and fresh fruit on a table as an offering. Even today a family will sit around the table, enjoying the beautiful moon and eating moon cakes and fruit. Those who are away from home try to return for a family reunion, giving the occasion its other name—Family Reunion Festival.

Mid-autumn Festival is a popular and important lunar harvest festival celebrated by Chinese people.The festival is held on the 15th day of the eighth month in the Chinese calendar.There are some traditions in this holiday.For example,people would have a big dinner with there families.After dinner,they often enjoy the full moon which is round and bright.The other tradition of mid-autumn festival is eating moon cake.Moon cake is the essential of that day,which means reunion.As time goes by,there are various kinds of moon cakes,but they are much more expensive than before.I like mid-autumn festival because my families will get together.
