大学是滋养理想和人文精神的殿堂。我们的首任校长孟宪承先生指出，大学之理想，实际上蕴含着人们关于文化和社会的最高理想。大学固然是社会的一部分，沉淀着现代社会所有的美好与无奈，但大学更应该是文化与人文精神的一个高地，一个标杆。大学应该引领社会，培育新的社会与文化理想。这种新理想的境界有多高、力量有多强大，取决于其中每一个人的境界有多高、每一个个体的生命力有多强大。

大学还是理性和科学产生的土壤。生命的力量首先来自于理性思考和科学创造的能力。理性与科学并不是一切，但它们是这个世界中最重要的精神与物质力量的来源。

理性意味着独立的思考、质疑能力和批判精神。围观的世界很热闹，但常常也很残忍。长期浸淫于围观狂欢中的社会，会遮蔽科学与理性，最终走向崩溃与陷落。所以，读大学的过程，首先应该是用理性和科学精神自我武装的过程。

大学更是与这个世界连接的通道。从科学无国界，到教育国际化，大学正在承担着让中国了解世界、让世界了解中国的责任。从华师大校门走出去的学生都应该有宽阔的国际视野与胸襟。我们鼓励同学们大胆走出去，睁眼看世界。与此同时，我们更鼓励所有同学，走进图书馆，在那里同样可以了解世界。一名优秀的学生，应该能主动地受益于老师的言传身教，更应该能汲取图书的默默滋养，能在一个充满张力的知识世界中塑造自己。所以，我希望你们所有人都能是图书馆的常客，一个也不能少!

在你们即将开始新生活、迎接新挑战、实现新发展之际，我想送给你们三句话：

第一句话是，今天的步伐决定明天的风景——华丽转身、融入师大。希望大家能尽快把握大学学习、生活的节奏和特点，了解华东师大的昨天、今天和明天，转变角色、融入师大，与师大一起欢快前行。

第二句话是，今天的选择决定明天的成就——学会选择、把握机会。大学的教育更多强调的是自主和选择。希望同学们学会选择、懂得取舍，处理好学习和工作、课内与课外的关系，把握好各种机会，规划好自己的大学生活。

第三句话是，今天的态度决定明天的高度——学会感恩、勇于担当。大学教育除了知识传授以外，更在于塑造完善人格和丰富心灵世界。

世界上有两种疯狂最为可怕，一种是什么都敢做的疯狂;另一种是什么都不做的疯狂。所以，在华东师大，我希望你们学会脚踏实地做事与做人，有所为，有所不为。

时间过得可真快，转眼间，我们来到大学这个大家庭中已有一个多月了。今天，我们聚集在月坛体育场，举行了2016-2017年度的开学典礼。这中间的两个环节令我十分震惊。一个是新大一学生的军训表演，另一个是获得“校长奖”的两名同学的事迹。

先来说说军训表演吧，新大一的同学们身穿迷彩服，戴着军帽，像军人一样挺拔。表演开始了，他们大声喊着“一二三四”的口号声跑上场，脚步声在地板上显得格外整齐。当听到教官的口令“向右看齐”时，他们微弯双腿，小碎步向自己右边的同学看齐。紧凑的声音格外好听。这时，我想到了我们军训时的不足。在“向右看齐”时，有的同学低头向下看，给人一种不自信的感觉;有的同学脚步不紧凑，给人一种懒散的感觉;还有的同学只顾着做动作，却并未关注自己这排的排面到底齐不齐。现在，不看不知道，一看吓一跳，人家的排面齐，动作快而齐。真是人外有人，山外有山啊。他们还表演了武术，喊的口号声也特别齐。这时，我才注意到，大一同学们穿的衣服都是长袖，他们难道不热吗?当然热啦，同学们脸上的汗珠替我做了回答。这让我更对他们刮目相看了。其实，他们训练的时间也不算太长，只有八天。能练到这样的程度，我自然是钦佩的不得了。于是，我在心中埋下一颗小小的种子，等到大一军训时，我一定要做得比他们更好。

再来说说获得“校长奖”同学的事迹吧。他们在美国贴在墙上的世界地图上发现中国那一部分有错误。于是径直找到了校长，将地图改正过来。爱国心每人都有，但这两位同学的勇气实在值得我们学习。

从今天的开学典礼上，我学到了许多东西。我也对今后在我们大学中的学习生活充满了期待。

My life in the University of Education

How time flies! It has been about two years since I came to the University of Education. Every coin has two sides. On the one hand, I am quite satisfied with my university life. On the other hand, life in my university is not as satisfactory as what we had expected.

University is not only a place where you can learn something useful from textbooks, but also a place where you can improve your ability to communicate with others.

During the year university study, I can not only acquire a lot of book learning, but also foster various abilities. All types of extracurricular activities such as sports meets, speech contests, different social gatherings and traveling provide opportunities to make friends, many of these friendships may last a long time. I like talking and playing with others, so I own many friends. Sometimes I feel lonely, angry and also homesick. But fortunately I own these good friends. They helped me spend these sad days. I find words cannot express my sincere thanks to them. But I know when they need help; I will do everything that I can do to help those who helped me before.

I like going to the library where you can find these words on the wall: "Knowledge is power." and "Keep silence!" after class every day. Because I know that we must learn every day. I think the life in university of Education is full of freedom, but I never waste time. Life is not easy

Sometimes I also want to own more free time to do my own things. But we have too many classes. So I think life in my university is not as satisfactory as what we had expected. Since the financial crisis swept the world, the global economy has sunk into a severe recession.
